  1. There’s not many of them in Stockton, there’s a few more moths
  2. ?? there’s something wrong with you ?
  3. I’d of thought the facefull of woolly fanny would of reminded you of yesterday, not your youth, you sheep bothering deviant
  4. Nice? I’m going to have to blow the dust off the .22 and start putting it on the front of the quad again, smack a few tree rats off the feeders
  5. Building a private nature reserve with my mate for a woman who is a lepidopterist ( likes moths ) it must pay well, it’s a lovely bit of land next to her house that she owns, I’m only on a day rate through my mate so he will of priced this, he’s desperate to get it done in under 8 days, so there must be good money in it
  6. Does it remind you of your youth
  7. Friday night chicken dinner, with a bit of purple sprouting lemon sponge loaf for afters ? ( first time I’ve made one and it’s turned out spot on)
  8. So the lad has just been up to walk them in, he said everything seems to have made its way back to the pen and I believe him, he’s the longest serving member of the shoot and no idiot, so I can rest a little easier tonight and I’ll go up first thing tomorrow and he’ll walk them in tomorrow evening and with a bit of luck they will realise where they live
  9. Back up today and looking at them he’s given us birds of different ages, the ones in the forestry pen are all the same and seem happy enough in the pen, when I got to Gordon’s pen, well I never even got to the pen there was a good number wandering the track near the farm, not ideal seeing as they have just gone in, I walked what I could see back into the cover at the rear of the pen and hopefully they’ll hear their mates and head back around the pen,the birds that were out on the track are bigger than most of what’s in the pen some even starting to colour up, so while none of this is ideal, I’
  10. So the birds are in, finally, and they look good, the lad who dropped them off said they are 6 weeks, so if this is true then he knew we weren’t getting them on the date he first said, ether way they are in now and we’ll just have to make the best of it, I hung around for a few hours on the lookout for a fox, I didn’t see any, I can never work out if that’s a good thing or not, I did see quite a few deer of both flavours, it’s about time the rules were changed to allow shooting with NV and thermal because I could clearly identify each animal through both devices, there was also a few pigs abou
  11. I use a nightmaster low mount on mine, I have a higher one that I use when it’s mounted on the side of a scope, but find the lower one works better when mounted on top ?
  12. I’ve told some of the members they have people like you to thank for this season, not me and all my hard work ??
  13. Well, I’m all set for the birds arrival, ?pellet in the feeders and drinkers tested ( for about the 6th time ) I’m feeling a little more hopeful even though we are only getting a few more than half and they are really late, quite a few have found my feeders and water butts in the centre of the piggeries, now they are there, they will stay, just after combine they were hanging around the edge of the tree side and been young and confused they could of gone anywhere, luckily the only water over there for the past couple of months is what I put there so that’s what has kept them and attracted othe
  14. What made me think it was a badger was it has the ridge on the back of the skull and the neck isn’t as long as it looks in the picture, shame it’s got less teeth in its head than the mother in law, it would of been a lot easier to tell, legs would also help ?
  15. When I was up there today I had a run over a part of the shoot know as the valley, it’s not somewhere we shoot now and don’t put any birds over there anymore, but with the birds been late I’m thinking of places where I could draw a few birds to make a small drive, the valley is right on the edge of our land and can be a good drive early in the season, there’s a good group of beech trees and when there’s a good amount of beech mast’s they seem to hold a few once they find them, anyway, the crop looks good this year even with the lack of water, so a feeder or two might be going over there, on th
  16. ? I wonder if he was pointing the finger at me, he should know I wouldn’t of turned the water off, now being in there scooping them up in a landing net like the child catcher, maybe ?
  17. Hopefully if everything goes to plan I’ll have you up for another go this season, maybe not the last day this time ?
  18. There’s always some drama, normally where we are it’s something to do with the public, I was talking to next doors keeper today ( when I’m not threatening him I like to get info out of him ?) and he was going mental about the riff raff from the caravan park, he like me just plays at it and isn’t a proper keeper, apparently some of the chav’s had turned the water off at both his pens, he said he got there just in time ( whatever that meant ) I’ve got water butts 800 yards from his pen so they are welcome to come and drink from them ?
  19. So. I’ve decided to start a new thread for the 22/23 season up at the shoot now as you know I’ve been involved with my shoot for a long time ( 15 years or so ) my intention when I joined was to shoot it a bit, give days to others in exchange for other shooting and to get all the pest control and the deer, ( it only took me a couple of years to get what I wanted ?) never to be a syndicate keeper, things changed properly last year when I was asked to run the full thing, for the last 4 or 5 years I’ve done the majority of the work up there but we always used to share the feeding. Anyway, aft
  20. ? I was the same, I’d been out to a club called the Blue Monkey, chewing my chops off, got home had a few bits and bobs to calm me down, put the radio on in my bedroom and came round a bit late for a little top up to help me sleep and it was on the radio, I couldn’t work out if it was real or I was tripping, a very confusing morning ?
  21. This is nice, could get messy, it’s like drinking pop ?
  22. A recent one but again it’s about making memories, it’s nice to be out on your own like I was the last couple of nights but it’s also nice to spend time out with friends, sometimes it doesn’t go to plan but when it does they are the time you remember ?
  23. There’s some ruff arse women in billo, including my sister in law, all walking around the town in Ugg boots and pyjama bottoms, lips sticking out further than their noses, just blown the family tax credit making themselves look like they’ve been on fire ? ?
  24. We use to go to the forum every Friday night, we’d say to our mams and dads we were going ice skating get the money to get in then spend it on a bottle of MD20/20 or a bottle of white lightening go to the forum and fight with lads from Billingham, cause havoc and then get chased home by the bizzies ? good times
  25. Oow Jet? ( Diane Youdale ). She lived with her parents not far from me in Billingham we used to ride our BMX’s past the house trying to get a glimpse of her, we weren’t the only ones, the street was always full of young lads trying to impress with wheelies and bunny hop’s on their Raleigh Burner’s, if she was there and you got a wave you were made up ?
