Mad this bloke, new brick garage and turns up with a second hand garage door in bit, said someone is coming to fit it for £200, I said “how much” I’d do it for half that, an hour and a half later it’s put together and in, there’s another skill I’ve learned ?

Spicy chicken, courgette and tomato pasta, bit of garlic bread only thing that’s a bit spicy the missus will eat, said she’d eat spam fritters though, apparently her mam used to do them for her, god only knows what they were like, that woman can cook the sh*t out of water, whenever we went for Sunday dinner I’d always ask if I needed to bring a straw for the veg ? Sunday dinner soap ?

?? me old man used to do me and him spam fitters, fried egg and real chip pan chips when I was a lad, my mam and brother wouldn’t eat it, so it was our Saturday thing ? I’m going to have to get some spam and do some reminiscing ?

Working with my builder mate again today, apparently I’m a roofer now, got 13 timbers in and level so he can do his block work around them, think I’ll be boarding it then the rubber roof lads can finish it

Concrete path good enough for the resin ? spent today mainly with my head in a sh*t pipe trying to think of a way I could move it without digging the whole floor up ? I probably could of had the thing dug out and new pipe in if I didn’t try and think of a way to save me work ?

It just bonds a bit better if it’s a bit ruff, I’ve seen it put on screed ( smooth) and it cracked and came up on the edge’s

I gave it a light tamp before I left but I’ll see what it’s like in the morning, I put it in sploshy wet so it will definitely be green enough for a good wire brushing ?

The best stuff I’ve found is from a company caller “ The Resin Mill” it used to come in 4 bags per mix, 3 of one size and 1 of a smaller size, but now they do 4 bags per mix but it’s already pre mixed with the different sizes, the one thing you have to do is time the mixes, I put all 4 bags in and start the timer as I add the resin, for 4 minutes, if you don’t do each mix the same time the colour changes a little and it looks patchy, the concrete has to be clean, free of dust and you have to use the primer, it goes on between 15mm and 20mm, if they turn up with a cement mixer send them on the

Great shooting that? Fair play to you for sitting it out for 8 hours, a couple of hours is enough for me with a shotgun, no matter how good the shooting is, I’ve just turned down an invite for pigeon shooting in Norfolk because he told me it would be 5/6 hours in a hide

So I’ve started up at the shoot, first job was to get some water around the place, not sure I needed to bother because it was pouring down and I got soaked, anyway I filled the water butts over the piggeries and the drinkers around the pen near the farm, the bed and breakfast beast have arrived so getting the bike in and out is a bit of an arse on now, as soon as I went into the field they were over pushing against me ( tw*ts ) i’ve got some wildies over the piggeries, there’s a group together around the edge of the wheat, clearly 2 different ages, one group look between 4 and 6 weeks and the

It must of been a really good year for them, I’ve seen good numbers around here, seeing at least one every time I’ve gone out, ( not hitting them all ?) that’s not how it usually goes around here I’ve just been talking to my mate down in Lincolnshire, he went out 3 times in the last week and shot 11, went out last night and shot 10 and there’s still hundreds of aches of wheat and rape to come off, I can’t wait for my annual pilgrimage down there in September, he’s promised me double figures ?

Another trip out tonight, when I got into the cut barley field it had just gone 9pm, my plan was to head down the bottom to try and call a fox from the grass field that often produces a fox, now this barley field has a large field of rape along side it which won’t be cut until next week, as I looked along it with the thermal I could see two heat sources, clearly two foxes sat in the rape, looking through the scope I couldn’t see them and knew this would be a waiting game, so I crept the hedge back and put the caller out, setting it away with hare distress it was a couple of minutes before one

Well I had a good walk around the shoot as the old girl had told me that they had cut the barley at the back of the farm and the big field of rape over the piggeries, when I got there they have sort of cut the rape, randomly they have cut strips from the centre of the fields, no idea why they have done this, normally they would start with the headlands, so I headed to the back of the farm and the barley field, this is all cut but they have only bailed part of the field and the straw runs are to deep to see anything the other side of them, there’s quite a few deer knocking about on the cut fiel

Meal for one tonight, because the missus is going out and as usual I’m not invited, pasta with a tomato and garlic sauce, simple but nice ?
