It’s crazy how much every has increased in value, I sold my 54 reg ktm 660 about 10 years ago to a mate for 2k he sold it with a lot more mileage and a few more scratches for £3200 last year, used vehicle prices have shot up, bikes and cars, I was in Audi with the missus yesterday to see about ordering her new car, she has a 2 year old S3 at the minute and they offered her 35k for it, in 2 years it just about lost the VAT when they told her what it was worth I could see her eyes light up and went straight for a A5 convertible black edition at 53 grand, how the other half live ??

I’ve had loads of 250 2 strokes but out of all of them that’s the one I wish I still had, it was definitely the fastest 2 stroke I’ve had, used to go through pistons like nobody’s business though, I sold it to a 15 year old lad and I used to see him flying around the streets on it, after that I got a Yamaha 426 and that was a completely different animal

I wish I hadn’t sold mine, very easy bike to ride and a lot of fun, I think I sold it for about 1000 quid, definitely be worth more than that now, I had a road legal Suzuki RMX 250 and that was a mental bike to ride on the road, in the end I took all the road gear off it and just used it off road before I killed myself, I think that was an early 90’s, it was a grey import on a Q plate

I had a Suzuki DRZ 400 E and that was just a field bike on the road, not fast at all so no points for speeding but I’ve no idea how I didn’t get banned on it because it spent more time on paths and grass than on the road and straight across roundabouts instead of round them ? the KTM660 supermoto I had was a load of fun, 4 stroke single, so it used to fire once every lamppost, if you didn’t ride it flat out everywhere it would shake the fillings from your teeth, I’ve been having a look after riding that old thumper and found another KTM (640 LC4 ) not far from me for a couple of grand, it’s on

Normally think of cider as a breakfast drink or a hot afternoon tipple, my first time with this and I like it a lot, I’m pleased I only got half a dozen or tomorrow would be a write off ?

His missus already knows he’s got it, he’s having a new garage built so put his 4 bikes in the back room of the house on the understanding he would sell a track bike and his GS, turns out he just did what he always does and ignored her and she’s gone mental, I wouldn’t tell the missus it’s in the garage because she’ll want to go out on it and there’s nothing worse than not being able ride it like a nutter ?

I was thinking the very same thing,? turning old lead into copper or tin, see how I get on with them ?

My brother turned up today, he’d got rid of one of his gsxr track bikes and took a 1995 KLR650 in part ex, anyway his missus went mad because she told him to get rid of a couple of bikes, not swap one for another, so he said can I put it round here, it’s all legal so you can use it, well, from the minute I left the drive it was like I was back in my 20’s, proper hooligan bike, recently I’ve been thinking of getting another bike and as I’m getting on a bit now I was thinking about a Suzuki GSR750 after been out on this this afternoon I want my KTM660 supermoto back ??

Well I took my bit of copper and lead in, 150 quid, I’m ok with that for nowt, the lad in there had to rub it in a bit by saying if I’d taken it in a few weeks ago I’d of got close to 200 for it, but never mind, it’s money for nothing ?

I go cheap for a rimmy Hawke 3-9 on the .22lr and MTC viper 4-16 on the .17hmr, the MTC is a great scope in daylight and in darkness with a lamp, but terrible in low light

You could be describing any youngster round here, just as well you backed it up with a picture so we knew you meant a buck ??

Bit of a odd one today, kids play area at a school, had a sort of cave, timber roof with soil over it, been condemned by HSE because the timber is rotten, so soil off, timbers out and re timber with bark chippings over the top so it doesn’t have wet soil sat on it

That roe buck mount is stunning ?

Been out a few times this week as all the barley is now off and my mate has started on the rape, first outing was Tuesday ( I think) to my mates farm, seen the roe buck I’d seen a couple of weeks ago but this time he was in the middle of the field and the back stop or lack of was a road so I had to let him be, the next trip out was Thursday after my mate rang to say they had cleared a full group of rape fields and had push 3 foxes out, so an early evening trip out, I’ve not been taking my phone with me lately and it’s made a big difference, no temptation to look at it instead of concentrating

The missus is going away on holiday with her mate in a few weeks, ( leaving me at home ) so it’s time for her to get beach body ready so tonight I’ve done river cobbler ( catfish ) in a chive and panko breadcrumb crust, oven baked chips with the skins on, peas and carrots and lemon and black pepper mayo, I can feel the pounds falling off??
