  1. It does seem to be a download and get on with it these days. There are usually guidance notes as well, fill in and supply them with everything they ask for, and as far in advance as sensible. A home visit is very common even on renewal.
  2. This is a much hyped but seldom realised situation. Yes it happens, but I have dealt with thousands of rats over the years and only ever had a handful cause odour issues. VERY EFFECTIVE deodorising gels etc are available to mask the smell should it happen. If you tinker about you will never solve the problem, you need to hit them hard and fast!
  3. What's wrong with poisons? Or just site a LOT more traps, they are apparently working, you say yourself Got a lot of rats in our roof space in work so have a few traps up there! They are no doubt coming from outside and potentially in cavity etc, so site traps all round the works or at least in known routes, find the source. You often need a combined approach. Or get a professional!
  4. http://www.bbka.org.uk/ Depending on the type of bees and location this lot will potentially move for free, certainly offer advice! And as above, no they are not protected, but I will generally only remove a bee nest if it presenting a genuine safety issue! http://www.gameandvermincontrol.co.uk/pestserv.htm#Bees
  5. I think that would have best been said in a PM or preferably not at all!
  6. What certification are you referring to?
  7. ...I think you've got the idea!
  8. Deker try Valmont Firearms they deal in spare parts…………..01142875932 / 07786222832 Cheers, I'll give them a try! They can't help, but thanks anyway! I was maybe thinking about a decent hardware/engineer/manufacturer. Chambers don't have them either, does seem crazy difficult to get hold of!
  9. Deker try Valmont Firearms they deal in spare parts…………..01142875932 / 07786222832 Cheers, I'll give them a try!
  10. http://stevespages.com/pdf/cz_452_453.pdf Part number 56 Trigger Guard Screw, on the attached schematic/parts lists. It is a raised head screw and I'm struggling to find them. Other than the obvious RFD/Edgar Bros can anyone tell me where I can get one please, need the blued version not nickel. Cheers
  11. If it's a flyer (see what I did there?) it might increase the ammo output to cope with it. What I don't like is the testing at 50yds for a so-called 200yd cartridge. I'm not sure who has suggested HMR is a 200yard cart, it certainly has the energy to stop any small vermin, even fox at that distance BUT....... .....even though I have used it many a time at the range at 200, and admittedly a handful of times in the field at that distance, I personally, and definitely, do not see it as a go for, daily, 200 yard cartridge.
  12. All I can really see here is the possibility that a squib round may not produce enough blowback to operate the system so it will be a simple jam, rather than anything more dangerous! I would like to know more!
  13. HMR Squib rounds and blocked barrels, that's why they stopped them years back!
  14. http://www.savagearms.com/launch/a17 This is a 17HMR SEMI (also available .22WMR) So what's the deal, I understood HMR semis were stopped on safety grounds almost as soon as they were introduced, what's changed? Yes, I know, it is hardly going to effect the UK, but the ammo does, and implications certainly suggest something!
  15. This is actually quite tricky, I have always advocated looking after our own first and if, and when, and only when our own population is ok, then perhaps we should start thinking about the rest of the world. The reality is a lot of our Foreign Aid is no such thing, it is brides, that smooth waters and allow us trade/political/military/commercial/support/etc., advantages! Not all of course!
  16. The people have spoken, like it or not the democratic process has voted out. It's time for the wingeing, back stabbing, sniping and threats to stop. This county is Great, it isn't the first time we have stood alone and I suspect it won't be the last, we all need to set our differences aside and make this work! ATB!
  17. Not heard this, but the Ragley Hall event seems to be the bigger, and more like CLA replacement to me, and having the two shows just a week apart was nuts anyway!
  18. Would it not have been better to drink it or were you having a French style protest about imported sparkling wine? You know I could see something like that coming as I wrote it, Champagne being French and all, I thought someone would bounce back EU wise on something, but you know what, it went down a treat and I may just open another! ATB!
  19. Strong stuff but I can't argue with that, the people have spoken, and at last the Government have to take notice!
  20. Obviously a major topic today, I've already demolished one bottle of Champagne!
  21. As mentioned by someone earlier, what have I missed, what has your probation period in a club got to do with a S1 shotgun and Open request?
  22. Put your case and ask. Too many variables to get a yes or no here! ATB!
  23. Anyone who has been at this game a while has forgotten something, my worst was 110mile round trip where I took several guns but clean forgot my ammo/magazine box which also had all my bolts in it.
