  1. What kind of mincer is that Ruski? Will it mince rabbits?
  2. I wanted a light weight gun for shooting rabbits and like you I probably fire around 20 shots, what had spoilt air rifle hunting for me in the past had always been lugging a 8-10 lbs gun around, so I bought a ultra se 177 and I can’t fault it as it’s very light very accurate ideal for hunting rabbits .
  3. The best place I’ve found for answers to legal questions regarding shooting trapping etc is the NGO national gamekeepers organisation, when I was a member they had legal expert who you could ring directly who was very good much better than being a BASC member.regards rabbits for training pens I would want them for nothing or I would give them for nothing.ive never used a pen for training dogs I’ve always used pet rabbits for me they work much better.i dare bet if you release a wild rabbits from one area to an other you would be breaking the law just the same as if you catch magpies in a Larsen
  4. That’s good news, can you not keep anti venom at home for you and dogs?.
  5. Are these snakes protected? What treatment do dogs get for snake bites from the vets? Best of luck with little dog.

  11. I had a lurcher with a heart murmur who’s stamina was suspect when it was warm, if you had put that in your first post I would have said the murmur as probably affected his stamina.good luck with him.
  12. Sounds like he puts 100% effort in from the word go? So you can’t expect him to to keep 100% up all day, some dogs regardless of the breed are steady so never really tax themselves,I’ve walked out with lads who have said there dogs never tire,it was because they were lacking effort, you can work hard or long but not both,is he a bedlington cross?.

  17. Try nikwax visor proof, I use it when I go to Scotland on motorbike it makes the rain run off the visor much quicker.

  20. Anyone any advice on the free stretch’s on the river Esk? Cheers.
  21. I’ve tube heaters in my kennel there just what’s needed when it’s freezing damp weather as they help dry the dogs off ,I think mine are 180 watts ,they used to call them back ground heaters they were also used to keep electrical cabinets dry from the damp.
  22. I recently bought a 1.77 bsa ultra se multi shot after recommendations on here and I am well pleased with it, I wanted a light accurate not too expensive gun and it fits the bill.regards problem with the guns mine started losing air slowly over a week it turned out to be the air gauge was a bit loose so easy fix, they are very easy to dismantle and a seal kit was only £13 which I didn’t need.with jsb exact pellets it’s very accurate and I am well pleased with mine,I’ve had some good advice on the gun section of this forum I’ve bought the ultra & a hush power 4.10 on recommendation.
  23. They look well cared for, what’s there breeding?.
