    My brother in law works for a plastic company that works in pet food companies,he told me you wouldn’t believe how clean there are, more like a laboratory everything sterile and workers wear hair nets etc.regards all dog meal being the same I don’t agree,cheap meal filled with corn wheat maize go straight through dogs making them shite a lot, a quality meal with oats rice veg meat don’t have the same affect,my dogs base meal is Autarky,I add to it with sardines eggs fish rabbits eggs leftovers and my dogs shite 3 times a day,I am knocking raw feeding ,I’ve done the raw tripe’s etc but my dogs

    I’ve just looked on line orijen is £60 ish for 11kg , If I used orijen for my 3 dogs I would be looking at £120 a month that’s very expensive.

    Yes I think you could be right moocher71 he’s had a long time of no.he also hunts half heartedly when it just me him & terrier but when I take the gun he’s like a different dog.hes my second and last cocker, they are good working dogs but I find them abit strange odd at times.

    Lol DC mentioned public liability insurance which is a fair point, I was just trying to make the point that public liability insurance comes with your house insurance so for most of us it’s a waste of of money taking out a separate insurance.

    Go beating it’s a good way to show you are sensible young man that can be trusted let loose in the country side,once helping out on the shoot you will hopefully get abit or ratting & rabbiting & dogging in which should go a long way towards some fox work.regards public liability insurance this usually comes with your house insurance,for years I was a NGO member mainly for the insurance but it came to light when BASC members were trying to claim that you can only claim off one public liability insurance at one time and as most folks have house insurance the BASC insurance is abit of a w

    Here’s a few pics from the last week,terrier was 1 years old in November he’s made a nice dog around the home which is important to me, he’s a good guard dog but still kind to the grand kids & he makes me laugh,working wise I couldn’t be more pleased, his nose is excellent he can track rabbits well,he’s got common sense it’s hard to believe he’s only one, my cocker is 6 for the first 5 years of his life as a picking up dog he wasn’t allowed to chase rabbits but this year I encouraged him to chase them it has taken 6 months to get him chasing rabbits but it 80% effort at the moment if I ca

    Do you get many mink? I’ve seen them on the wharf when fishing but there usually in the middle of the river or other bank.

    I had this with a cocker spaniel dog it used to do my f***ing head in,i had it on tuffie beds which I kept washing in dettoll thinking this would mask the smell of his piss so he wouldn’t piss in the same place again but it turns out there’s something in bleach & detoll that to a dog smells like dog piss which was my first mistake so you need to wash there bedding in non bio washing powder which is free of pissy smells.also have the dog to the vet to check for a water infection which can make them piss a lot (cocker had water infections) .     I’ve got the tethera Altberg walking boot they are light with a very stiff sole which I need as I’ve feet problems, 100% waterproof, I wear mine every day, they are a all day comfortable excellent boots, before you buy direct from Altberg check out local dealers as they often do them a bit cheaper.

    What sort of fine are lads getting for lamping without permission? I had heard they were taking there dogs and cars off them which sounds a bit far fetched.

    I’ve a thermometer in my brick kennel which takes the guess work out of is the kennel warm enough, it’s 2 degrees centigrade out side here today damp foggy in my kennel it’s 7 in the largest part of the kennel without any heating so warm enough for dogs, insulting the walls and more importantly the roof keeps the temperature well above freezing.
