  1. Your name isn't Jurgen by any chance is it, And you want to apologise for your conduct in the fox shooting department.? ? Yep, I've had them opened up like they've been hit by a Stanley knife, run across a field, stagger and then drop. On the very odd occasion we've had to go out and get the dogs to find them. But the round that I now use has never failed to stop on the spot.
  2. You state that you've had x years experience with dogs so surely then you must know that any dog can turn. I'm sure they any vet will tell you that even the smallest toy dog can and will bite under circumstances and you want an Alsatian cos your boy wants one.! but you don't know anything about them.!!! Only dog that has ever bitten me is an Alsatian. sly b*****d came in around and got me from the side in my thigh. If the owner hadn't got in back under control I would have shot it out of hand on the spot.
  3. About time that you looked at the insurance detail and had a chat to you landowners. I heard that you had to pay the first £500 of any claim with basic. still you do get a car sticker and four mags of adverts.
  4. what have the digits 60 got anything to do with shooting insurance. ?? Are you more of a risk of shooting someone or something if so.? Yes another vote for CCC3 about £32 and got about 5 million cover. You can even ring them up and speak to someone sensible rather than a stuffed dummy. Basic is crap through and through
  5. That is the sort of guff that comes from basic. Be a good fellow don't rock the boat. Bend over and be greateful . AND say this... for what I am about to receive make me truly grateful An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile — hoping it will eat him last. Winston Churchill 1954. These two previous post are how it is never treat plod like your mate. Treat plod like a touchy Alsatian. It might defend you but it is just as likely to bite you. And That's the way it is. ...... 6. ok as an idea BUT. one minor problem. Kent police don't answer the phone. I tried the other day and after half an hour of going through multiple deviations ...... Mainly either bugger off or go online frequently asked questions...( And this is just to get through to the switchboard). a rather aloof sort of woman told me that they don't give out the firearms dept extension number. I asked to be put through to them and the line rang until there was a message that the mailbox was full.!!! Just as it was a couple of years ago. They just take you money and submerge. just like basic. plod is
  7. You could get them in a big wooden crate. I never really used them but was given a snap pack of 10. Pink case they were. They had he'll of a reputation for knocking the crap out of guns. I had an Eley Grand Prix ounce and a sixteenth =30g in L/H barrel and pink Baikal record in the R/H of my AyA 25. A pigeon came over and the Baikal was launched. It was different to the Grand Prix. More of a push rather than a crack. We went to buy a thousand Winchester but they only had 500 so we bought an extra 500 records. These were black cases. Jeez, I couldn't use them.!!! In my short Barre le
  8. Russia is a big country so you need extra full &full to reach out to the wildfowl up in the stratosphere. That's what they made BAIKAL cartridges for. They got some powder from tank sheĺls, some old copies of Pravda newspapers, a handful of pea beech, a bike spoke and a branch from a tree as a ram rod and there you go. A six foot long muzzle flash, an ear splitting sonic boom that would wake the dead, the shooter sitting on his arse in the mud and twenty to thirty duck clattering down in a heap. All you needed then was a wheelbarrow to get the slain off of the field and back home.
  9. Everyone was kung fu fighting. Those kids were fast as lightning. In fact it was a little bit frightening. There was funky Billie Chin and little Sammy Chong. He said, here comes the big boss, let's get it on. They were chopping them up. They were chopping them down. Oh-hoh-hoh-hoh, ha
  10. What a pack of hill billies. If he wasn't a mongoloid before that impact he will be if he continues. What drives someone to get involved in stuff like this. Poverty.? Stupidity.? Why mess about with a hand slap.? Why not knock the crap out of each other with a shovel.?
  11. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but the novelty will wear off. Why act the Prat just to make a show. He ain't exactly in the paxman or Robin Day mould where the politicians would fear to tread. If you are clever enough like a barrister you don't have to act the Prat. You can be polite and smile when you slide the knife in and turn it.
  12. That looks like a spaniel in there. Some don't care about anything. I suppose that they think corona don't affect dogs and they want the money. What's the history.? All knicked from somewhere.?
  13. Not bump back...... Question 》》》》》 are you having problems clambering rounds.? If you are you might have die set up issues. Guns are set up at factory and don't change position. Factory ammo is made to Saami spec and is inside of varying chamber dimensions and will fire form to your chamber. In the first vid that I posted they explain about the knecking process and setting up the dies. IF; you are reloading and you've got the dies set wrong you will have issues. I just dont see how anyone needs to discard cases. If they don't fit, then full length resize back to Saami spec.
  14. Yes, I think that there is some misunderstanding of this issue. A gun is set up for correct headspace at the factory. It's not something that changes. The cases fireform to the chamber so the only real variable is case stretch which an oal trimmer is for. If a case hase been fireformed in a worn chamber like fluted chamber on a machine gun then you might have lock up issues but I've used such cases and never had a lock up issue cause by headspace. Ps. Saami specs
  15. Unless you are sourcing cases from numerous random sources it ain't ever going to happen. A case that you fired in your gun can't be bigger than that chamber so it ain't never going to be out of headspace in your gun. The only thing that does happen is the necks stretch a bit and need trimming back to spec.
  16. Well I never, ??. I've been reloading for 22, 223 243 & 270 for a long time and never in all the years have I needed a .. Headspace gauge.! and the best bit is that the advert for this states that, "Any case found with excessive headspace should be destroyed immediately". AND that it is "Out Of Stock - Backorder Only". Now this could be because they've never sold any. That thing is sort of a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Firstly if you but factory ammo or new unused cases then they are manufactured to SAAMI specs. If they don't fit a gun, then the gun needs binning . Se
  17. What will the unit be firing at.? What sort of range.?
  18. No, but are you building a gun or re barreling to need a gauge.?

Is this a forum for old gits and coffin dodgers.?
  20. He's sworn at it. He's threatened to give it a darned good thrashing ( Basil faulty ), he's called in the local witch doctor, so now it's down to the last resort. Read the instruction manual. You know it makes sense. ???
  21. No one has asked the virus what its plans are., It might decide to go off on holiday and disapear as fast as it appeared or it might mutate into a real potent killer just like the Spanish flue did in 1918.! Seeing as it takes about two weeks to develop I can't see how anyone can predict how it will pan out, Re... openIng up lockdown. In the meantime it is great. The sun is shining we've had a nice bottle of wine with lunch and I've just woken up with a stiff neck. It could be worse like the Prat neighbour over the road could be out there strumming his guitar and attempting to sing which r
  22. I believe, And ; I've heard. That's not a lot of solid evidence to look to the future upon. Was thìs based on any financial forecasts.?
  23. Some on our cul de sac had a bit of a sit out and a piss up this afternoon. They kept there distance so what's the problem with that. Anyway most of them are Muppets so if a few get culled that won't be so bad. RIGHT... It is bad that so many innocent victims have fallen by the wayside but for every looser there are winners. It is what it is. There is something in the region of sixty six and a half million people in the UK so how many could fall before the country would be damaged.? On the other hand the governor of the bank of England has said that the recession will be twice as bad as the
  24. It's the latest thing ! it's the washing powder that cleans whiter than white. How white can that be.? Is this lube is more slippery than the slipperiest slippery thing. >>> I bet the ole boys who started reloading cartridges out in the states after the war used tractor back axle oil. Time saving spray.? what day is it.?
