  1. I've had a 500 ATP 8 shot for many years which I had put on my FAC back when Hungerford happened. I bought it for shooting rabbits out of the back of a truck at harvest time because my sbs was getting knocked about on the roll frame when reloading. It was the mag capacity that did it for me. Back in those days they were looked down on as cheap gangster guns. It is fun to shoot but it is a lump in comparison to a double. Mine is chambered for 3 inch so when you rack it using 67 or 70mm cartridges, you have to be fast or else it will throw two cartridges onto the elevator which jams the who
  2. Where are you in Wales.? On one of the son in laws stag do we came up to Aberystwyth area to do offroading and the Strata Florida run. I organised us to go clay shooting. We rang Dovy but they were most unhelpful and us less. We rang Mid Wales Shooting Ground. What a difference. Couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Very nice people. We had a great time and the boys came out with a glow. It wasn't expensive either. On the way up We loaded up with lead at a dealer in Cwbran on an industrial estate. Again helpful people. Guns are a personal choice. It's all a fallacy that any t
  3. I've had these before butt Focus on the problem at hand not on what somebody next door wants. Don't let their problem become your problem. Don't mess about with cheap shit tins of cold greasy co op slurry. What's wrong with shooting a moving target.? As long as you can identify it as Charlie shoot it moving. If it comes across the paddock get on the line. If it's coming straight at you it's like as if it's not moving. And it's already shoot shy so it don't matter if you miss it. The beast might even get the message that it ain't welcome and even more dangerous than where it's come from. F

    Brexit mk2

I know he's a crackpot BUT doesn't this sort of thing bring us back to what David Icke has been saying for years.? It's like the cashless society he was on about. Yirtually no one takes cash anymore. You've got to have a contact less card now to get your prescriptions from the doctors. You have to stand outside, they take your card inside, tap the card, bring the medicine, the card and receipt back to you outside. It's going to be fun in the winter when it is thrashing down with rain and you've got to stand outside in a queue. That Gina Miller, the hollering bloke Tony bliar, John major sho

IF that's true and it would seem highly posible then the inland revenue hounds should be put on their tail. Surely it's no different to insider trading or money laundering. IF true then they knew exactly what they were doing and as such going against democracy. = failure of public duty

    Brexit mk2

So what was majors angle.? From what I remember he fought tooth and nail to stop Brexit happening. He joined up with that thing gina miller in a legal challenge of Boris's decision to suspend ( prorouge) parliament.... Traitors in someones pay. along with all those MP's that broke ranks. they got theirs at the election. I hope that they are all having to claim benefit.
  7. Have you managed to find anything on long netting? What's the land like where you are.? What sorts of hunting shooting go on there.?
  8. It ain't quite as simple as that. It never is. But if you slaughtered all the peados there would be another layer generation following on. I wonder why these people are atracted to do these abnormal weird things.? That german bloke is a complete wrongun. A rogue that needs to stop drawing fresh air.
  9. If you can catch it doing it, put the garden hose on it. They soon get the msg. Woman next door moved in with a terrier which used to go spastic at the garden fence when I was in my garden. A couple of small squirts from the hose cut this problem straight away. The blighter still forms up but suddenly has a change of mind and slopes off round the corner, peering round the corner at me. ??? Another method is to leave a decent piles of rabbit guts out there. They (cats included) have a good pig out and go back home a yak it up back there. Preferably on the front room carpet. It's good fo

Boris & co should have put the inland revenue bloodhounds onto the finances of some of these main clods like bliar and major. ...question..... why would they strike so hard to stay in the eu..? Someone greasing their palms.? Or they got big cash investments in the eu. They as former PMs know about the term democracy. The fact that David Cameron said that the referendum was going to be a one of and the vote would be binding. So the latest worm to come out of the woodwork is this Prat david lamby. He is just a mouthpiece jumping on any bandwagon to push his fat face onto the tv screens. I

    Brexit mk2

Corona virus has taken over from Brexit as the news filler of the day but the clock is still running down to our final departure day. I see that wee Jimmy has written a letter to Boris DEMANDING that we postpone our date of final departure and that fat b*****d gobshite blackford has written to barnier. No doubt bliar and major are still plotting in the wings. I wonder if that bloke who kept hollering his mouth off outside parliment every day will turn out again. I see that Gove has notified bernier that Brexit meant Brexit and we will be leaving as notified. What antics will the traitors u
  12. That is really nice. The Mrs and I have always had a great relationship but now that her mother has departed and the kids ect aren't round every two minutes because of the restrictions her focus has become tighter and we have bonded even more. The sunny weather has meant working together and having lunches out in the garden and enjoying the sun and just relaxing. Roll on global warming. 25°C during the day and a shower overnight to keep the green. She might even pick up a gun one day and come shooting with me.
  13. The human being is supposed to have eight hours constant sleep.! If the body doesn't get this amount it can affect your brain ect ect. Can cause strokes and early dementia ect ect. Lots don't get or Need that amount. Everyone is different. Sometimes I feel that I don't nèed sleep at all and could do nearly a 24 hour . But I don't do it. Sometimes I'll run on half hour naps. What damage it is doing long term is a guess. Now what was I going to do?? Seriously this lockdown is odd with the fact of nothing happening. I think that overall it is great and I believe that a lot of lives are
  14. My sleep pattern has been buckled by being out night shooting. Staying out until 1..2 AM then up at 7 to go to work. It's something that I'm used to. It's this weird situation of everything shutting down about 7 pm and the silence of nothingness. That I feel strange with. I used to like it when it was rough weather because it kept all the idiots inside by the box. And now I feel like one stuck inside. This is only a temporary situation because I have loads to do and get on with but it is a bit odd.
  15. Mostly I'm pretty busy with doing stuff but tonight the Mrs, myself and the dog are just here. The dog is snoring on it's bed, the Mrs is on her pad as am I. Earlier I went out with the dog and it was absolutely silent as it has been for some time of an evening. No planes in the sky, no traffic on the road, no people out at all. It's weird. As we sit here there is nothing on the box worth watching so we Just sit. I can imagine it being similar back in the past. If it wasn't for electricity and us using out electric goods we would be sat here with me reading a newspaper and her doing
  16. This how so many English wildfowlers get caught out in Scotland. A friend who used to go to Scotland wildfowling said that they were always getting pulled for plod to look in the boot for fowl that were protected and had been shot by misidentification. ..." it's a goose, isn't it".?
  17. We booked this before corona and stupidly paid by debit card. When this kicked off and the restrictions came in so we couldn't go I contacted them about refunding the money but all I got was ... "It's not our policy to give refunds, you can either book (reschedule) for later in the year or next year" ! Now if we had boòked on a credit card we would have been in a different situation. Seeing as the situation is what it is there doesn't seem to be anyone to ask about this sort of situation. Total bloody chaos. I could rant and rave at them down the phone but that ain't going to do any gòod.
  18. It's not just going abroad. The Mrs is a bit of a dare devil and decided that WE are going on this zip wire thing and a sort of bobsleigh through trees in north Wales. Problem is that it's closed and the accommodation is closed. Now whether they will open at the same time and the accomodation will be able to accommodate us is to be seen. Luckily we're only in for a couple of hundred deposit which is on hold. At least we ain't flying anywhere with Ryanair. I'd rather take my chance on a second hand illegal immigrants inflatable. Total cowboy outfit. Edit. I don't know even if the laws
  19. Hi. My brother in law was a keen rabbiter and I remember when I was about 12 I was taken to a field to drag the line round to scare the rabbits in to the net. I was shit scared all on my own out in the dark in a strange place with a very dark wood right there housing all sorts of monsters. Towing the line round the field it got hooked on a couple of thistles and was like towing a car to a 12 year old. The result was I ended up coming in to the net about half way along the net. Still there were a few in the net. It would have been better for me to walk up and down the field rattling a box o
  20. Yes I agree with this. If you are going to shoot completion on a range it is a target rifle not a hunting setup. Different beast. You don't take your Ford focus onto a race track and try to compete with a purpose built race car. Mind a lot of blokes go on ranges and just blast away. Some don't even check what thet did on the target.
  21. Push it hard enough and it isn't but like I've previously written, although I'm confident taking a 300 yard shot nearly everything is about eighty paces. Thet way I can identify the target and not splog someone's stray dog.
  22. Pretty much as it is. All this about new calls and old calls, it's all a loads of nonsense. Dead is dead. It boils down to how deep your pocket is and how much are you going to shoot. Number 1 = top of the pops. =243 it will do the lot, but it is noisy and the ammo ain't cheap. = How deep is your pocket.? ... if your just after Fox, #2 = 22.250. Again ammo expensive and noisy. A 243 case necked down to 22. 3600 fps #3 = 223 std round. #4 = 222 cheaper because gone out of fashion but exceptionally sweèt and accurate then if you want something a little different and a bit rarer the 220
  23. Well THERE you go. That rattled a few cages. I don't give a flying f**k what you shoot or how many you shoot cos it ain't affecting me. You can rant and rave all you like but it don't alter the fact that most people who post pictures of the dozens of crows that there shot don't know a crow from a jackdaw
