A friend ( the best rifle shot that I have ever seen)( only ever seen him miss once and that was back off hand out of the back of a moving truck) ( he instantly reloaded on the move and took the target second shot) and I walked into a large half block and top clad building and without any warning fired a 22.250 no silencer...whilst walking. I'm not an air rifle shooter but Years ago I had a Sheridan blue streak in 20. We highly modified it by gas flowing the internal valve unit. Originally They were designed for 8 pumps but we set it up for 10 which it dumped in one go. It was supremely accurate and would drop rabbits out to about 60 paces. The only problems were the pumping of the thing and the internal seals didn't last very long with the pressures. The muzzle report was loud and I made a silencer for it. Overall It was very accurate and effective but it was nowhere as useful and effective as a 22lr using subs. No pumping

They were handing out S7s like confetti last time that they couldn't cope. Some people had a series of them that meant that they could possess the guns and any ammo BUT you couldn't transport them or use them AND you couldn't buy any ammo or expanding tips. The cert of my rifle club was on application and S7 for more than a year. This meant that the club couldn't buy ammo for sale to members and therefore club funds were reduced because of loss of profit from these sales. The club made representation the department who basically replied ... Oh dear, how sad, never mind !!! AND all of y -

Yes. Years ago 8 0 & 82 series powders were £1 for a 1pound tin. In the 90s you could buy Reloader series for about £12 a tin. now powder is in the region of £40. Bullets used to be about £12 for ,224 and now around about £40 so it ain't cheap which ever way you go. Still no hobby is. I bought up stocks and I've got enough to last a very long time. I reload shotgun as well . I buy the 12 g stuff but I do reload for the 28 because of the cost of around £8 a box. It's good fun though to reload but it isn't for everyone and I've known a couple of people who have bought all of the kit and

I suppose that it is similar to grannies bolting down the hatches at 4.30 because they fear getting attacked or mugged. where in fact the person most likely to get into bother is the mouthy teenager who is hanging out or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's all in the perception of threat. Seeing the paranoia of the US public I'd be very wary of going to anyone's house. I used to be on an American shooting site similar to this one and I have encountered the American viewpoint on guns. So. I still can't understand how tooling up with more guns and ammunition will help anyone. It's like going out and scrapping in a supermarket for a jumbo pack of bog rolls. My older Brother and sister have now tested positive for covid 19 and are both in hospital . They are in a bad way and even if they had guns there is no way that they would want to use them. I wouldn't know because people including us aren't going out much. Apart from the essentials everything has come to a standstill. There is hardly any traffic on the road outside. There have been quite a few tractors and equipment going past as the ground is drying out rapidly and they want to get planted up as soon as pos. It's strange how us human sheep act without much thought as to why we're doing something. Why everyone bolted out to get shit rolls is one of life's mysteries seeing as this hits the lungs and not you arse. Now that everyone has a ten year supply of bog rolls and the articulated lorries of goods are still queuing up to unload supplies of all sorts of supplies the novelty of panic has subsided. To anyone who is in the USA, Whats is it like there in regard to supplies, Panic buying and hoarding.? Here in the UK the populace for some random reason went out panic buying toilet rolls. Christ knows why but they thought that they would get violent squats and weren't going to get caught out when the shit hit the pan. ?? don't be silly. The winos would have nothing to live for. Someone dropped a bottle in telcos the other day in their panic. That would seriously affect half the population around here if the amount of wine bottles out on bin day is anything to go by.

Vermin. I told my soft brother. He took a stray one to the vet in his car on a lead. There was road traffic outside of the vets and Brother got this stray out on a lead. the cat went absolutely ape and Softy brother picked it up !! Cat sunk its fangs right into brothers hand between thumb and first finger. Right up to the hilt. Brother was bleeding so badly that the vet had to attend to his hand before the cat. ?????? CHINESE LION... ??????. I remember seeing one of those back in the eighties. what a pile of junk. Side lever Thingy. A bloke that I knew repaired air rifles for a shop. The one that I saw was nearly shagged out over a weekene's use by a little tommy. He had shot about 500 pellets through it. It was so worn out that the pellets weren't exiting the barrel and little Tommy just kept loading pellets in until the barrel was filled solid. Spain, Greece, Turkey and many other countries will feel it hard if the tourist don't go. It will be almost a complete collapse. There is nothing there that isn't propped up with tourist money. There was a ceramics factory in Italy on the box the other evening making ceramic toilet pans ect. They were shutting down the furnaces that ran 24 /7. The manger said that they couldn't last very long on shutdown. The whole Italian economy would collapse.
