That's as maybe but people are missing the point. I don't give a shit if people shot xyz birds but everyone always write .... I had a fantastic day a shot xyz CROWS but the birds in the pictures are jacdaws. They just say CROWS. It's no different to saying I've shot xyz pigeons whereas in fact half of them are turtle doves ect. Or if shot a deer but its a bloody sheep. It ain't the same thing. It like the General licenses. You could almost guarantee that the majority of shooters do not print out and carry the relevant General licenses on them. I've never heard of anyone being pulled up

Hey you lot get a bird book. It is highly unlikely they're crows that your shooting. Generally when bloke posts that they have shot X dozen crows they are mistaken. They've been shooting jackdaws or rooks. crows are reasonably solitary and they are a bloody great big thing in comparison to jackdaws with a murderous great beak. AND if you don't know that I bet you aint got a copy of GL 36 in your pocket. Jackdaw Carrion Crow

Thanks for that reference. I can't say that if ever seen anything like that for sale over here. I've only ever Seen them used in countries like the USA and Australia where it gets blooming hot and it allows free airflow without allowing flies and insects entry. The thing here in the UK is that next week the weather fronts will be going the other way and we'll be cold again. It's going to be about 25c here in the south over the next few days so it won't be long before we get a hosepipe ban.

I'm not one of the brethren but it is easy to blame someone, irregardless. What about the Muslims, Jews, Mbngos, or anyone. The lad could have done it himself. Remove all the bits and torch the thing and claim on the insurance. Ok if the insurance pays out. Could be blamed on Brexit.

Thanks for the constructive reply. I hadn't thought about looking to see if there is a clip available. If anyone clicks on that link you can sèe the item. I don't intend for it to be used as a substitute for proper locks when I / we leave the house it is just that the door can be fixed in a position that will allow airflow through the house but not allow others entry. Kind of locked but open. The issue of a key doesn't really come into play because the lock part is inside the hose and you wouldn't get access to it. they're around £50 which is enough and I could make one but I can't be ars

Ok Maureen, count yourself lucky

There isn't ANYWHERE that an opportunist won't take a chance. If you think that you are not then one day it most probably happen to you. I have a friend who was home invaded by three hoodlums at 4.30 am on a bright sunny summers morning ! and it wasn't pleasant for him (hospitalised) or his Mrs, (knocked about) he didn't expect that but I had warned him that his security was piss poor but he said his two alsatians would ward anyone off. Did they f**k.!!! It's pretty good around here and The only thing that I've ever known was a pair of scroates visited an old lady along the road and aske

With this hot weather it would be nice to be able to hold the back door open to allow airflow BUT for it to be secure to stop any chancers getting in. I found this >>> link ,... but has anyone any different ideas of know of anything different. https://www.locklatch.co.uk/features/

Has he been in for a Ring Piece replacement.?

Autism is a real sod for the sufferer and those around them. The underlying problem of the Cummings situation is of an agenda by the media to bully their ideas onto the public stage as we saw with Brexit. All is heard is xyz is CALLING FOR. The way I would deal with this is to strangle off their food, which is a voice to the public. I would do this by stopping all communication with the press like these stupid question sessions. Why waste valuable time in performing this daily charade of nonsense repetition of pointless enquiries. Cut the Grant to the BBC. Put heavy taxes on newspapers

I don't suppose money or a £60 fine is much of a problem to Dom. I would imagine that he is on a bit more than basic minimum wage. ?

Coronà may force change because the deeper we go into debt the tighter the control and the sharper the axe. What I can't get my head around is considering how penny pinching the treasury can be how stuff like this is not controlled. Is David Icke the messiah.? If he didn't talk stupid stuff about lizards he would be a damned sight more believed. Cashless society.? yep we're nearly there everything is swipe, tap or online. No one want to touch cash. My mate who worked as a civil loan engineer for the home office told me that every year there was lorry loads of brooms, shovels, wet weathe

It is a situation that is crazy and out of control it must be very demoralizing for the base oficer who has to jump through a continual series of hoops and rules to go nowhere. I knew a girl who worked out back on criminal bank dealings and laundered money stuff and it was important work but that was scraped and a bloke who was an engineer keeping stuff going and systems working. Naah scrapped. Everything either skipped or dissapeared and the senior officers were some of the worst. Got a problem ? Who you gonna call; ghost busters.

??????? get an air rifle or a 22lr with mod then. .... you did mean quiet didn't you.? -
In the news Kent plod HQ is up for sale.!!! They are being moved out to different stations. Maidstone is the central county town of Kent. Ashford used to be a big station but it is virtually non existent now. It doesn't seem many years ago that villages had police houses and the local plod used to come out for fac/Sgt inspections. There were local stations ....with cells and their own petrol pumps. All gone. Then the bigger stations like Ashford were reduced to basically a counter. Now the HQ ?? Could the pushbike be the new patrol vehicle for the future.? Will the plod have to supply

Stop messing about with mouse guns.! Get a 12 bore and let them know your out there on a daily basis. ? -
It's a bit harsh, IF they give Steve Bruce the gooner after he went there when nobody else would and kept them up.

It's great to have a mate to go shooting with. As long as you don't get a chancer who suddenly either starts taking others on your shoot or tries to carve you out the frame, or end up getting you F'd off the ground. That ain't very good. There are threads on here about that. A mate and I shot over a piece of ground for years until the farmer keeled over with a heart attack. Damned inconsiderate that.

Well their pretty nutty, relatively harmless, but it's possible. David Icke stuff. Still plod had to get involved. Now look at plod. Where's the social distancing.? Where's the ppe equipment.? Didn't anyone inform them that there was a worldwide pandemic killer out there.? And these plods will be mixing with the public, their families and going to deal with all sorts of public distractions. And some on here rant about going to Tesco without rubber gloves, facemasks, and Willie protection. it Loòks like plod has given the green light to going out and doing a helicopter on the beach th

I heard the first one this year yesterday down here in Kent. I've not been listening or looking for any though.

You cant get more dead than dead and it don't stop offending or getting into a position of getting the chop we don't have any fellows of foriegn origin around here but we do have a local lad who has a clapped out motorbike with no paperwork at all that keeps revving the guts out of it and thrashing up and down the road with no hat or anything. Just a T shirt. Perhaps he needs a kick up the arse. Or perhaps I should mind my own business. He might come a gutser and write it and himself off for a while. Problem solved.

I quite like a go at the clays but I can't get through a whole box in one go. The barrels get so blooming hot that I can't hold them without getting burnt.!! So what's basic doing about plod demanding doctors letters that the applicant has to pay for. This means something like a £30 hike in application fees overnight. All you get is latest news. Which is nothing for your subscription fee.

This just about sums it up. What are the positives that can be taken.? At least you can talk about things before the end,. Unlike someone goes out the door and has a heart attack or a road accident. The ones that need your support and strength are firstly her husband who will bear the loss most and her children. Just doing the day to day things. Don't forget your wife, the mother of her daughter who will feel the loss more than you, even if she doesn't show it. My wife still mourns the loss of a stillborn that she never held after many many years.

....FORE.... I was told of a guy who had pheasants down his drive so when he used to come home he wound down his door window and issued the daughters hockey stick. Apparently it was very effective! ?
