  1. I've took a dog out lamping on bonfire night a good few times in the past, to take his mind off it, and it did
  2. That Shady won against crosses, and did well in the forley. Not much in it with some of them
  3. Some purebred salukis can get a bit of a coat in old age. Personally think the whooly coat is just the long lurcher coat mixing with the salukis??
  4. Another vote for rabbits way out on rough ground, probably jinx the next pup but they normally catch the first one. Don't think missing daft rabbits on the lamp or all summer long missing rabbits on holes/cover in the day does pups any good. Sure lots of faults folk talk about are learnt from this sort of thing
  5. Same as hunting and organised coursing
  6. Oh right. Probably because it doesn't effect farming or cause farmers hassle
  7. They do, but not in so many words. Wildlife crime, B.O.P persecution
  8. Fred's dam was Bess(Mushy X Smith's Fly) Mushy was Ivor's Rose(long coated "Norfolk") X Browns saluki grey. They say some of the first litter out of Bess's brother Rebel to Eve had that much coat they were bucketed? ??
  9. What was running doubled/trebled up and crashing into a bus in Bedford testing ?? a few less Muppets would of been a better send off surely
  10. Luke X Cass It's no secret, the folk that had them have put it all on here?
  11. Collie, beddy, bull, "Norfolk" all sorts in them at the start. But like you say mainly saluki
  12. Remember a article in the cmw about MP Lucky and Tina, and he mentions something about collie blood and herding to the guy. It's the saluki blood though imo, purebreds work hares don't they
  13. Read they were ripping through Bedford hanging out of vehicles, holding hares out of windows, and two of the 4x4's were ramming each other in Bedford ???????????................?
  14. It's in Running dog addiction, you've mentioned it a few times. With these new ones, there must be 30+ books, your pal or whoever didn't write all them lol
  15. Don't know any of them from Adam, but if someone sends a article to him that's lies, or he's interviewing someone and they lie, he can't help that can he
  16. No, mix up some raw potion like a nutty professor or buy a £80 bag of kibble, either will turn any dog into a world beater ???
  17. Yep, take salukis/saluki types, they've developed over thousands of years to live on shite basically, they just need decent UK food imo. Daft paying treble for something they don't need. Haven't owned a collie but they seem the same. I'm not saying feed shit before anyone reads something that isn't there lol
  18. Yeah surprising what dogs have ran on in the past, and in other countries. Remember feeding vitalin etc, like something you'd give a horse, yet they were fine?
  19. I've got one like the pup picture "light fawn Sable" guessing yours is dark fawn Sable. Not that it'll matter lol. We had a big grizzle at home similar to him now as well ??
  20. Yep, think the same ? Tried a few things, but always gone back to tried and tested meat and biscuits. They've all had a take on it, and been fine
  21. Not as accurate, but you'll be closer. You can't shoot at something that's ran off because it's seen or heard you
  22. You'll do better on a dark windy night, than a bright still one?
