    Cheers Dave? 26grn of reloader10x seated to nosler speck 2.250 but don’t forget it’s a .204 Dave... these loads take more powder for 204 than loading for the 223! did another batch yesterday and stepped the load up 1/2 grn

    I think a big part of it over this way is there are a lot of lads that run dogs and will throw them at anything anywhere! I see it all the time, im not going into this one but one of my farmers got shot at a couple of weeks back.. he had to dive out of the tractor and hide behind it while the armed response came! they weren't far away which speaks volumes but the lads had done one before they got there.. its not just the foxes that keep you on your toes round here ?

    these fcukers on the moors aint daft.. you have to specifically target one at a time! ive seen the cubs out once and they were gone within seconds and that will of been there first encounter with a human... I can see the wood they live in but they won't leave it... had it baited up wind put the caller out and not a sniff ? theres a lad I know who's got one nicking lambs about a mile away thats at breaking point ?

    When my lass’s brother was a lad an old keeper took him under his wing, he was only young and put himself forward for a night foxing! his hands were that cold that the keeper shot two rabbits for him to stick his hands in and keep warm... that’s Yorkshire hospitality for you?

    It’s original stock that came with it ,was never fitted, took that grs thing off cos I couldn’t shoot off the sticks with it and it’s 1 1/2lbd lighter

    I tested them but the sun was too bright for the chronograph.. bloody typical, it was a lovely day at home but as soon as I got up to the moor it was blowing a hooley! its only 5 mins away from mine to this place but its a different world up there. I recon the 32's should be doing around 3900fps from geeking up, there were no pressure signs so ill have another go with chronograph before I run out of this batch, they performed/grouped well even with a fair wind. tested some 39grn blitz kings as well but they were not so good but the load might just need tweaking.

    every now and again I think I need to stick a post up to contribute to this section as I enjoy reading what your all getting up to, the reason I dont post much is im dyslexic and doing this will take me fcukin ages ? this fox has been a pain in the arse for a while, ive taken a lot off this area but this ones been like Houdini, when I cover the main area this ones always behind me and theres a road in that direction, when I have seen him and the winds been right ive double backed a few times and been like a ninja.. it can clearly clock ir ? ive rested on a bale before and had it

    Was out for a walk on Sunday! thought I’d put this up as if anyone is visiting the Yorkshire coast this is a nice walk.. the cliffs between robin hoods bay and ravenscar! use to fish nets and pots in this bay 30years ago with me dad.

    Think your mate should be alright up there, it’s more people who enjoy the countryside rather than deranged lefties and hippies! there’s a remote wood at one of my places with a fish eagle. thought it was a fox at first cos it was so big but it was twighlight and a fair way off through the thermal, it was next to a fence post.. one huge flap and it was on top of the post.. I put the scope on it gathers that much light I could clearly see what it was. after a bit of geeking I worked out what it was and it’s a descent age by the dark colour band?

    I left me flask on the moor the other night when I went to pick up a fox and forgot it... so went back for it next day and took the 204 just in case there were any daytime Cubs about and there were two roe in the field where I’d left me flask?

    They often let a vixen from the group stay near by, me and a mate shoot over a big free range pig farm where the dog fox’s never stays to help out, strange cos it’s the only place I go like that! think the mum will start eating the chicks herself soon if not already as the Cubs are all well on over my way and a healthy size... she’ll be training them on grub hunting and not giving them free meals

    ?needs must,the cubs might be well on Dave, I shot a vixen last night.. id seen the cubs the night before and they were out training on the grubs, ill be back later for them as it'll be nailed on they'll be back out grubbing about. been out a fair bit lately with all the lambing and piglets getting taken, not the nicest thing to do but young cubs turn into killing machines
