  1. I can’t speak for Ben but I’m glad I got the 204 with varmint barrel, I shoot off quads and that little bit of extra weight definitely helps me out in the wind! waiting on a date for a shoulder op, years of plastering and laying bricks took its toll, first time in years I’ve used a bipod for hunting. 150ish yard other night, hadn’t even turned caller on, quick squeak and pop.. knees buckled and didn’t even flinch.
  2. Used my caller twice this week, not used it for about six weeks till now! every fox I saw in the thermal came in to the first distressed cub call... two on a sheep farm that I’d been after for a while and pulled 3 in on pig farm the other night... the foxpro I have fits in my coat pocket so no great shakes carting it about
  3. He’s done a good job on it jim? looks well tidy
  4. I shake with the trigger sticks, ive missed fox's sat down with the rifle in them.. ive kicked the fcukers round that many fields im surprised they still work.. they live on the back of the truck as an emergency backup for when I forget the quads! they come back in the house cos I dont want them nicking ?
  5. id buy a nice spot in dales, grab me kids.. smash me mobile phone up and bury me head in the sand ?
  6. I ran me mates over, he left them propped up against my motor and when I drove off i squashed them? I was out with him a couple of nights ago and he pulled off some cracking shots off his Jim shokeys, he said im glad you ran them fckin things over! ive got shockys but im shite with them, but I can shoot off me quads no problem! get him to tape some pipe lagging to them, that'll stop the clattering about ?
  7. You sure you’ve got enough slugs Mitch ? tidy looking gizmo’s?
  8. Yep when I had a king sized hangover! moral of the story they work fine but remember to re centre when swapping between different guns?
  9. Used them for years till pards came along, fine for what your wanting it for but they are rubbish in daylight! perfect for round farms and paddocks with air or rim22 id go for the mk2 in the lower mag if I was you, had all of them and think that was the best
  10. Depends how good your bonus was Ben but I was well impressed with the entry level 38pulsar thermals the other week, I’ve always held back for the sake of 100% identification but not so much now
  11. I’ve used pards since they came out, 007 first then 8’s when they came out, I didn’t like the fact that you could only use a cheap scope with the 7’s cos it defied what I wanted out of the setup but the 8’s are about as good as it gets with clarity and bang for buck, get one with lrf on so you can swap between air rifle for rats n rabbits then bang it on cf for the fox’s! I don’t use additional ir and Ben’s seen vids of me knocking fox’s off at 200 no problem
  12. sorry to hear about your dad:( cause ill do it for you, kind of partied out on the tuning/fixing front but this is not a problem! ill pm you later after work
  13. ?I’m a shit judge of character that’s why I’ve been married twice?
  14. Haha... you were a proper quiet polite lad when you first joined this forum Ben, nice to see you blend in with the twisted massive now? got to agree Bob looks like a tw@t and prob deserved it??
  15. Ffs... if I had a conscience I’d be offended ? its all about quantity not quality nowadays? besides that I’m tip top cheers?
  16. Only time I ever wear me glasses, I don’t use them at work.. guess I should cos I can hardly make out measurements on drawings but I don’t fancy blowing me self up?
  17. the 40grn fiocchi vmax I was using for the brass worked well ben, thumbnail size groups at 100yard no problem! just loaded a few batches of 39grn sbk and 32grn nosler that all be testing tomorrow ? you'll have to get your inner geek on and start home loading ?
  18. yeah it'll be a shame cos hes a very helpful bloke! got a few bits on order for a mate of mine. not sure as to the OD's on the 97 and 95 not got any here at the moment but the Bisley sling studs will be fine, you'll get two in the pack.. short for the front long for the back.. make sure its dead centre though cos they look terrible if not done right! this is the place I get barrel bands from Large Range of Gun Sling Fittings - Bisley Quake Uncle Mikes Swivels WWW.ANT-SUPPLIES.UK
  19. 4.5mm mark it with a pencil first so your happy its centre then pilot it with say a 2mm then the 4.5! set it at least 50mm from end of the stock
