  1. good going that mark! should of turned up for more art classes though atb si
  2. mac you pay more attention to your guns than i do me woman! maybe thats why I've 2 ex wives atb si
  3. jonjon yeah I've seen him tuning tx's and he knows his stuff! its a well engineered bit of kit, some of the pellets I've bought lately have been terrible and for £18 this is looking like a good investment! only one way to find out.... I'm having one cheers si
  4. just wondering if any of you lads have used or tried these?! cos after dismissing loads of pellets in the search for the 1ive got loads of tins i can't use! if this gizmo is as good as it says ill be buying one and won't need to buy any pellets for a long time. any advice welcome cheers si
  5. its good fun testing pellets and doing crono strings, it gives you confidence in what your using! and whats good for one gun may not be good for another of the same make and barrel. the last pcp with a 177 walther barrel liked rws super field and the tx spat them out all over the place, same barrel apparently... but is spot on with aa diabolo's. done loads of testing with a hw100 in 22, aa diabolos and superdomes are the only ones i can get to group! what mark said to me was spot on, if i put anything else down the barrel its a pull through cos nothing will group again! end of pellet test
  6. great post philpot im 20 years behind you, and more or less on the same path! hale the gat gun and hand line.... the start of grate hobbies that never leave you! si
  7. They were shot early afternoon, around 2pm. I don't know what they were feeding on - I was shooting in and around an industrial unit. probably shite n rubbish left behind by polish lorry drivers! not food for the pot then check out what this bloke has to say about pellet weights and impacts, he's put a lot of time into it https://youtu.be/OJX3xg1nUAY
  8. its sorted now it was a combo of 552 being too tight, although these diabolo's are that size they are way slacker in the mag compared to all the others! the super field felt like a two stage loading process ! when i first got it i fitted an old scope and the grouping wasn't to bad with superdomes so i backtracked and did some scope swapping! the tx is now allover the spot and the 100 is spot on.... I'm now the proud owner of a shite scope that won't hold 0 so my lad can have a fancy telescope to mess about with!!! ha ill give the mag a spray too, I've had to up end it a couple of times
  9. leve a chicken egg on the deck! had the lad shooting eggs the other week, never seen a crow in my garden up until that point! don't think ill be seeing many more and me cars not go so much crap on it now
  10. thanks for the replys lads I've done a few pull through and it was pretty manky the barrels solid no play at all steg i chopped in a 177 pcp for the 100 it was pellet on pellet but i fancied a 22 for a change, always had 22 spingers as a kid! yeah I've tried 8 different types, was expecting great things but got a headache tomorrows test will be the decider hopefully the diabolo's are the answer cheers si
  11. villaman-smithie it was a shop demo, the bloke at the shop said it had only had a couple of hundred through it! gonna try and get on the field tomorrow and see if its any good at range! the scope I've put on is off another rifle thats bang on so its got to be the barrel, all the other pellets were consistent through the crono even though they were all over the place ! hopefully the aa's are the cure or its off back. cheers si
  12. first post.... been following you boys a while and think this site is spot on! seriously been thinking id coped for a duff barrel! but after loads of head scratching /scope swapping barrel cleaning / firing with mod without mod it turns out its mega pellet fussy!!! aghhhh I've been trying all the pellets you lads use and still no joy, the falcons in552 and superdomes were the only ones pulling a semi acceptable group. not happy enough to go hunting with though, i use a tx and can do 5p groups at 30m the best the 100 would do was a 50p at 20m"the garden/house range" until today , diabolo f
  13. one for sorrow top shot
  14. not used any light rws but my 100 is spot on with rws super domes 14.5gr there spot on too about 40y ..... i think the quality of rws pellets is really good, just used a tin and didn't throw one away as opposed to the jbs junk thats being sold! cheap and cheerful was the testing you watched done with a springer?! cos my spinger groups with them look like a shotgun grouping
  15. shooting and fishing pretty much go hand in hand but throwing the gun in the car is a lot faster than finding bait and setting up! its nice to escape for an hour or so after a noisy day on a site. if I'm not going to eat it i won't shoot it or fishing wise it goes back!! and its better than sitting in the pub with di@kheads
  16. im halfway through a tin of fap and well impressed with them.... only thing is there only putting out just over 10flb and i like a bit more! I've had it with jsb, last tin of 5.52's looked like they had been recycled from a pellet catcher and the ones that looked ok were all over the place! rws aren't far behind on the accuracy but get spat out of the 100 at 11+
  17. i and loads of lads on here use hw100's there ace rifles but if the look of an rm8 floats your boat have a look for a second hand bsa r10! theres a reason why there are so many second hand rm's for sale
  18. tx200 great fun to use and as accurate as any pcp I've used! they are pretty heavy though
  19. i choped an rm8 in for a hw100, theres no comparison! the internals on the rm arnt great, indexing problems and power fluctuations.
