Just seen footage on FB N8vision wher a guy has put his first vid using the NV90 Mitch, bloody good mate, if we had got that, an order for two more would have gone straight in to Optics Warehouse, I agree I do think it was a duff one. Fingers crossed that the replacement will be okay as this is going back on Monday but I think they are out of stock at the moment. Phil

Pard are releasing a new 007s add-on which looks like a compact version so perhaps better for me but not keen on the price.......... Both 850 and 940nan models will be available. Pard NV007S 850nm Night Vision Rear Add On WWW.UTTINGS.CO.UK Pard NV007S 850nm Night Vision Rear Add On. The Pard NV007S takes the already brilliant NV007 platform and makes multiple improvements to further performance... Phil

Well even with the built in IR, it is far better than the NV90 Mitch. One interesting thing was that My buddy has an Airmax s/f unlike my two Airmax Compact s/f scopes and the image is better on his scope than mine which also applies to the NV90 but still not good and the rticle is so soft.
-
Yes I agree having seen a couple of youtube vids of the NV100, it does look really good. It is quite long and would require me to move the scope forward in order to get it in a comfortable position which I didn't want to do, so to maintain daylight shooting position of the scope.

Well you have found a gun you like J so now just enjoy it. Phil

They certainly are something else. Phil

I am going to look at the new Pard 007 tonight as my pal is bringing it round, not going for one but nevertheless interested.
-
Yes of course, I am not completely dim Mitch. When you have a reticle so soft and a very very bad grainy and pixelated image, you are on a hiding to nothing from the outset.
-
Mitch, I know how much you hate the NiteSite but I swear to you that it blew the socks off the NV90 and please believe me that I really wanted this to work. I did not expect it to be on a par with some of the more expensive units BUT this simply doesn't compare. I really like the things already pointed out like the locking adaptor ring and the fact that I was able to shoot with or without the nv on and not move the scope was a huge bonus. I have just spoken to James at Optics Warehouse, nice guy and as he said we may well have got a bad one after all, there will always be the odd one tha

Part two We took the NV90 to a small perm to test it and compare with a Nitesite and a 007 with huge differences. The image quality of the NV90 is utter shite, very low contrast and extremely grainy pixelated image. We did see a rabbit about 25mt but never saw the second one 8 feet away until we looked throgh the Nitesite and 007. Mu old Nitesite was 1000% better image. I seriously doubt if you could even see a rabbit at 50 - 85mt other than the eye shine. I didn't like the fact that each time the unit is switched on from the start, it automatically went into colour mode and 2.0x mag

Here is a first impressions review of the NV90 which my buddy bought and dropped in for me to play with to see if I like it before placing an order myself. The rain is coming down at present so I am not sure if we will be able to take it out to try tonight but if we do, I will post the outcome. Out of the box, you cannot help but to be impressed with what you get for the £150---- NV90, 7sets of hard spacer shims, a spare battery cover/knob, charge lead, rubber eye piece, micro SD card and an allen key. The NV90 is extremely compact to the point that I had no disc

I didn't know they had pellets in their name but I can tell you having dealt with the company in my past working life, they do NOT have any manufacturing so they are buying them in from either JSB or H&N as they make for quite a few companies. It is possible they are from China but I doubt it so it is likely you have already tried them in another named tin. Phil

The issue with the 007 was the poor fit to scope causing point of impact/ point of aim being out. This unit seems to be far better thought out but we will find out next week and if that is the same, I won't bother.
-
My buddy saw the youtube and ordered one tonight so when it arrives on Tuesday, it will be coming to me to play with and once I am happy with it, my order will be going in but I will do a bit of a first impressions review while I have it. A good way to test it without spending a penny.........................I know, tight bugger ?

Have you got one Mitch. I am sreiously impressed with what I have seen. I am using rwo Airmax Compact scopes on my fac so hope it will work on those as I am sold on this.
-
That looks a neat bit of kit and at a cracking price, wonder how good the scope connection is and if like the 007, they work much better on some scopes than others.
-
Are these only in the US at the moment Mitch or are they available in the UK.

My 'go to' feed is Srawberry jam which so far has never failed both daytime and night in fact it is the only bait I have used and been ble to see the rats come out before I have even left the site. Best jam is one with fruit in rather than Tesco cheap crap but if you use a lot as we do at times, I will mix the two together to make it go further. Phil

Weihrauch rifles have a strong following on here and a few followers of the Air Arms springers. I would consider buying one from here as there is a good chance it has been tuned so to run as well as possible. Under lever versions will be much heavier than break barrel versions which could be important to you. A really light springer is usually very lively and jumps when fired making them not as accurate as the heavier rifles so be aware of that when you are looking AND be sure to tell us what you fancy in order to get some good advice on here from some of the experts with springer rifles an

I would not use The Sportsman unless you know exactly what you want as I wouldn't trust their staff not to dish out pure bullshit. Unfortunately they are now the importers of FX guns along with various other guns so they will try to flog you what gives the highest profit and possibly not what suits your needs. You are better telling us what yu are wanting and perhaps there is someone on here that may have what you are looking for and save some money plus get the chance, depending where they are based, for you to try the gun out. Just a thought. Phil

I would send him a PM as he has not posted anything since June so you may have greater success sending a message. Phil

My rfd uses one and swears by it, the Skan units are also used by the police for testing the power of rifles in my area.

Help needed to chrono a rifle
philpot replied to Fellman Mark's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Welcome to the forum The gun in question is an air rifle not a 6.5 Grendel rifle which even if they are sold in England, I have never seen or even heard of one so the choice and demands of the scope is completely different. This thread was 16 months ago so I think Mark is sorted now but you need to consider that the products you have in Canada, are not in many cases sold in the UK and also take into account that we have a restriction in the power of air rifles allowed in the UK of 12 fpe, I am guessing in Canada, like the US there are no restrictions for the power of air rifles.
