I think you and Mitch are building up to buying one DB ?
-
Yes I think so Mitch. I really like it and will be taking it for a session on the ferals when the rain stops, perhaps tomorrow night then at some point I will let the rfd actually know ?

I have to say the operating manual is rubbish and there seems to be no further info on their site. Fill pressure is listed as 25MPa WTF is that when the gun's gauge is in bar pressure and this is explained any further in the manual or website. Now that is annoying. Ah just went on a 'conversion' site, 25MPa is 250bar, why the f**k don't they just say that.

Trigger is quite comfortable with a clear difference between first and second stage, I don't have any scales to check it for pull weight. The side lever is spring loaded for the first part of it's travel so by a small movement it will pop out to the cocking position and then the cocking motion is only about a further 35mm to fully cocked. when the lever is at it's first position, it is quite sloppy compared to the WC but doesn't seem to present any issues at all. I suspect Mr Dempsey could tighten this up if required.

Hang on Mitch, I will get the violin out. This one has a shroud with conical aluminium baffles built in so not bad at all, I do have a nice little carbon mod that was made by a local guy and the same dia as the P35 shroud so an adaptor would allow me to quieten this more however I will have a chat to Mark Dempsey to establish what he does and at what cost.
-
How much did it cost for the tuning job Billy.
-
I was talking to an rfd I know in Suffolk the other day and they said they have no rimfire rifles in stock nor will get any as the rabbit population has just vanished. Phil
-
Ah okay, just a thought.
-
A couple of things which may come in handy from ebay are these. An adaptor to fit an 1/2'' unf sound mod to the shroud and a rather handy picatiny rail to clip to the side of the gun which would be useful if I wanted to fit my nv rangefinder. Is it possible that your zero and target work is varying because perhaps the gun is not stable. Not wishing to sound a prick but how experienced at air rifle shooting are you as this may help us to offer further advice. Phil

When the rain finally stopped today, I took the P35 out into the garden to try it out. Now I should have cleaned the barrel but completely forgot about it until I was actually shooting so bugger it. Using JSB Jumbo RS to start with, I set the zero and as my little cottage garden is limited to 15mt, that is where zero was to be. As I said in an earlier post, this gun if I am to keep it will be used as a short range gun for rats and ferals so a maximum of 25mt is all it is likely to do so I would get a good idea of what groups I was going to get using a 15mt zero. Zero done, I tested JSB,

You are spot on Deker, my Tikka rimmy was less than half the price of my new Wildcat fac and a third of the price of my Impact fac, must be mad ? Phil
-
Think I might leave the crows behind but the woodys, ooooh yesss
-
The leaves are dropping nicely and I am looking forward to roost shooting. One of our perms was covered in crows and woodpigeon yesterday on freshly drilled winter wheat so when the rain stops, I will be popping over. Lovely meat, must get some in the freezer. Love your hawke Billy Phil

I use them all the time for fac Ben so anyone thinking of .22 fac......................... try these, bloody superb. -
You are right DB they are 10 shot on ebay which is even better. Artemis/Snowpeaks P35 3D printed magazine WWW.EBAY.CO.UK NOW WITH "GLOW IN THE DARK CENTER". JUST ASK WHEN ORDERING. The Carm are one shot better still at 11 shot capacity Object moved WWW.CARM-MAGAZINES.COM Phil
-
My mistake they are 9 shot not 8. I didn't know you have to spend so much with Carm, surely Mitch people who are buying mags for themselves must be able to buy what they need without spending £135.
-
Regged..........................well thats a bonus.
-
Me tooooooo, the mag is only 8 shot which is a shame and a bit small for ratting but I understand Carm do their own version so will check that out, I can see I am going to need a few mags for ratting, hope they are cheap. They are rather like a small MK1 Impact, twist the top round, feed the first pellet from the other side then turn it back round and fill up. It certainly feels nice in the shoulder.
-
Is the P35 regged..... Going to try it out tomorrow, just popped on a spare MTC Mamba Lite scope. Phil
-
I take your point DB and agree which is why I am seeking some input. On FB I posed the question and was met with some very good comments and several said once sorted by Mark Dempsey, they were superb. The one I have been looking at is a s/h .22 which I would only want for some ratting and feral shooting in and around barns plus we have two rat perms where the range is no more than 10mt max so leaving the fac at home is the only route to take and this is where the P35 would come in. I really do like the Ultra CLX but HATE bolt action guns preferring side cocking every day of the week and
-
I do like it Mitch and this one is s/h so a bit of room to tune it BUT I did look at the BSA Ultra CLX whixh is really nice and now this model lists a much higher shot count if we can believe BSA. I am going to borrow it from the shop and put on a scope then test it at home. What needs doing to them Mitch to get them right. Is Mark Dempsey a specialist on these Snowpeak / Artemis guns, could do with a link to find him. Phil
-
Even with that shirt he still looks a twat.
-
Just watch it right through, it xertainly made me laugh. Phil

Anyone got any feedback on the Artemis, now known as Snowpeak and the model concerned is the P35 which looks just like a Wildcat. I picked one up the other day and was quite taken with it, very light and sits well in the shoulder. Phil
