  1. The P7R is 1000 lumens with a 210mt beam, is that not enough Mitch as they also do a 2000 lumen and a 4500 lumen but the price jumps fromm £55 to £175, here is the link. LedLenser Torches & High Quality Pro Flashlights With 7 Year Warranty WWW.RIGHT-LIGHT.CO.UK A wide range of LED Lenser torches and flashlights to suit all situations, from the casual user to the hardcore tradesperson or outdoor enthusiast. 2. I believe the T1x is the rifle given out to the forestry commission staff for their pest control of which they ordered a large quantity and again this information was given to me by Forest Lodge Guns who I think did some of the distribution in our area. That was a while ago so I have had a fair number of gins since then so it is possible I may be mistaken but I don't think so. Phil
  3. Thank you guys, trust me I am going to try and prove the validity of my pal's statement because of past 'tall stories' but I though it worth asking. I have taken a number of hare and rabbits out to 100mt area but have no interest in pushing my RWS subs any further and if I was really wanting to get out further I would have an hmr which I do have a slot for but just not seen the need on our perms. Phil
  4. Thank you Bernard, I didn't think it would make any real difference................................ a misunderstanding or perhaps nearer the point for my old pal, total bollocks. Phil
  5. This sounds to be rubbish and I have not had the chance to put it to the test but here we go. Whilst on the phone to an old fishing/shooting pal yesterday who has been known to tell fishermans stories before now, we were talking about our .22lr and how often they were used, my pal said he rarely used his hmr nowadays as he used the .22lr with CCI stingers at approx 1600fps. I said that I do have a box of Stingers but don't really use them as they are noisy and the range doesn't increase that much or at least I didn't think the range increased that much when my pal said he shot out to over 200
  6. I use a 'led lenser' head torch Mitch which are superb although the one I have has been updated with greater beam. Mine is about 6 years old and still gives great service for fishing and shooting but are you wanting hand held or head torch. Phil
  7. Not heard a thing Mitch, I have two and neither have given any problems, in fact my mate was after a left hooker a couple of weeks ago and was saying to the rfd how much better the mags were compared to the Browning which he totally agreed so don't think he has had any problem mags either.
  8. Don't forget to take into account SIBS and RIBS because inflatable boats ( sib = soft inflatable boat, rib = rigid inflatable boat like the RNLI use) as they can be seriously good for fishing and becoming more and more popular. I have had 6 SIBS and 2 RIBS and with a good 15 - 20hp engine will take you anywhere if conditions allow of course. The great thing is storage and the last rib I had folded in three sections with a removable cuddy which with a 15hp engine and all my fishing gear went in the back of my VW Passat estate car so food for thought. This was my folding rib
  9. If you don't have this book, treat yourself as it is an excellent guide to launch points, costs, insurance if needed and car parking, I have used it for years and well worth a tenner. Phil
  10. Ah okay boys, I confess it was the 455 and 452 that I have experience with and they in my humble opinion are not as good as the Tikka bolt but I don't know know why you dislike the mags Mitch, I have not had the slightest issue with them, simple straightforward to fill, never jam, whats not to like. I saw the Royale when it first came out and was going to buy one in walnut but it just didn't fit me very well, not sitting in my shoulder easily so didn't bother. Totally agree with the comments regarding the Annie 1416, had one, no more accurate than my tikka and a clumpy bolt, will never h
  11. Good luck but you are in the wrong section, try the sales section................. Phil
  12. It doesn't really matter, I have several Nitesite units and sometimes the rubber collar moves putting the reticle off centre and I do usually just reposition it but sometimes when I have had a short opportunity to get the shot off, I have just taken the shot with no issues. I can miss if the reticle is centred or not ? Phil
  13. Have you tried 'Clay and Game' as they are quite big dealers for mec. Reloading Tools WWW.CLAYGAME.CO.UK Phil
  14. Mine never has had any issues with extraction unlike some Browning T-Bolts. I am not knocking the CZ guns at all as there are thousands out there doing a good job and I have had a couple but I find the Tikka bolt far smoother than the CZ or Browning but there again we all like different things. Phil
  15. I do quite a lot of sea fishing SL and if you were taking up beach casting, I could help you as I am a casting instructor for 'Sea Angler Magazine' and had several boats but Cornwall would not be my chosen place to live, the weather is so changable and my old boss moved there and told me after a couple of years that they monitored the rainfall which was considerably more than he used to get in Chesterfield. If you shore fishing, there are some great places but afloat you really do need to be switched on to the rough waters around that coast, East Devon is a far better place for a small bo
  16. Impact .25 fac for feeders and my 28g o/u for walking around the woodland. Phil
  17. Yes, perhaps so but I cannot see that they would be suited to modern HW guns BUT perhaps they are.
  18. Do you use a shoe horn to get the buggers in ????? Phil
  19. Go for it DB. One thing to mention regarding the mags, I asked if there were any spares in the back room and promtly went in the back room to have a look, I did find a couple BUT while they were the same on the front, they had slightly different build up on the rear so they obviously make sure you have to buy the right one for each gun, a bit stupid but there you are. A very valid point Jimmy, I have to agree and my pal has the Kral NP-02 for a bit of fun, he loves it, accurate and 200 shots per fill for £350........... I think I might sell that HW35 Jimmy as it never gets used and
  20. I took the gun out with the Nitesite on last night, it was a sheer joy to use, so light and took a couple of rats and ferals from the dairy farm, very pleased with this little gun and I will have Mark Dempsey work his magic but at present I am happy to use it as it is. I popped into the rfd today and sorted it so now she is all mine ? Phil
  21. Good on yer DB. Our members always come up trumps. Phil
  22. I have two and rate them. I use Nitesite units on them and get a lovely crisp image. The optics in normal daylight are plenty good enough but do not compare to Hawke Endurance scopes for fading light, mind you, very few scopes are as good as Endurance in those conditions. I do like them and prefer them to the standard Airmax. Phil
