  1. I really like the look of the copse, I could spend a few hours there, just looks a nice place to be. Phil
  2. Nice one Matt. How about the new club name.................'TwaX' group. close to the most popular word used on here and the gun name!!!!! Phil
  3. Excellent shooting ftm. I have just had some plastic hens eggs to use in the field to attract the corvids on my perm. Phil
  4. In what state do you sell the rabbits Mitch, frozen gutted but not skinned I assume and do you need a license in your area to sell them. I am curious because I need an outlet for rabbits as we don't eat them. Nice shooting by the way and well done on the new perm. Phil
  5. Really good show boys, looks like another crackshot with a springer is joining us. Phil
  6. Hi Jonjon I will take number 1 if I may please, just perfect for a little project for my son in law. Again another member on here showing a generous gesture. PM on it's way Phil
  7. 'And another one bites the dust' Nice one Mark
  8. ' Thing is, with my 100 I always went for the HM, now I have the old problem, which to take.' It's not a problem Rez, sell it to me CHEAP Phil
  9. Thanks Si, your stock grain is really quite strong, looking well and that is for sure. Phil
  10. I had a couple of thousand acres many years ago when I lived in Sheffield but have not had a rough shoot like this since then as the clay shooting bug bit me hard and have not shot live quarry for a long time. I have shot on friends land as I have got back into air rifles but this land has me quite excited at what the potential is there. The pea drilling will be done at the end of the month so I may need to take the shotgun as well depending on how things pan out but with no cover whatsoever it will be tricky I am sure. Phil
  11. Yes, we can sort something out mate.
  12. KINELLLL Matt, that is some group my friend, I'm not posting any groups for months after seeing that. Seriously impressed matey.............................envy does not come into it of course Phil
  13. I tried the trigger sticks in the garden this morning and as you say Mark, it works very well, a lot of work to do but I like that method very much. Phil
  14. I was introduced to a farmer last night who granted me permission to shoot his land, 250 acres of rape and soon to be drilled peas. The land also has a very large population of rabbits with corvid and pigeon activity. Here are a few photo's. The third photo is the top of a 50' deep valley which has not had a sole walk there for years, could be squirrels and along with some dead trees, ideal for sitty trees, just need a way to get down to the bottom as it is seriously overgrown but very interesting. I popped up this morning for a reccie and took a rabbit on my walk
  15. Here it is but a lot of dosh for a piece of plastic, might be good when your hands are cold but mine never are. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-HW100-Biathlon-Style-Cocking-Lever-Extension-UK-only-/152059623375?hash=item236775b7cf:g:YK0AAOSwwpdW5vpx
  16. I am in North Lincs so if you want to try my HW100 you are welcome and a trip into my RFD in Scunthorpe who not only has a fair few guns both new and s/h, he also has a 25mt range so you could try a few. Happy to take you in as I know the guy quite well and see what sort of deal we can get you. Phil
  17. Could you use a normal plastic syringe as the solution will be free from air so shouldn't go off that quickly.........................or will it?? If you go into ' The Range' on Valentine Park South, Valentine Rd, LN6 7BH, you should be able to get some decent brushes at very good prices. Phil
  18. I am more than happy to do that Rez, just let me get a bit more proficient so I not too outclassed matey. I would love to have a shot or two with your HM1000. We might be able to get Chris (Seamaster) in on the act as well. Phil
  19. Thanks chaps, I am really pleased with it.
  20. Thanks Mark, I will be trying that tomorrow.
  21. Great stuff Jimmy. I know I have a long way to go with this gun and I am happy to have a challenge to be honest so I'm okay with that. On the range today I used a bag of seed to rest the gun on and bit by bit I am loosening the grip much like the PCP, the result was the pellets closest to the centre so I understand where you are coming from. PM on it's way mate and thanks. Phil
  22. Very nice Matt, the stumpy mod seems to reduce the sound quite well even on the indoor range. Phil
  23. I have been over to the RFD to try a Stumpy mod which did improve the noise level and tried to zero the scope but that was not so easy being a raw novice with a springer, I take my hat off to you gentlemen who can make them sing but nevertheless I have to start somewhere. After firing a few shots to get the feel of the gun I stuck a target up at 25mt using FAP pellets and here are my crap results but I am not too embarrassed, I need to learn the technique and hopefully Mac and Pianoman will put me on the right road later this month. As a matter of interest, the total spread of pellets is 35mm
  24. Well after debating a great deal regarding the HW97, AA Prosport and the AA TX200HC, the decision was made and I picked up my TX .177 with a walnut stock yesterday. I am toying with fitting a 'Stumpy' mod but not sure regarding the insert needed for the barrel as the plastic insert fitted as standard is longer than the after market insert so perhaps some of you have gone down this road and can advise. I don't want the AA mod, just too long. Here she is :- I think she needs a bit of oil on the stock as it is very flat and to be honest darker than others I have seen. P
  25. A very nice brace there Si, FAP and JSB exacts do the job in mine. ENJOY Phil
