I am finding hard to shoot the TX with any real purpose but I can honestly say, even though at times it is a bit frustrating, I am really enjoying the process and it seems to really like AA Express pellets. Phil

Yes the black dot is 8mm approx and whilst I have a looooooong way to go, I am not too unhappy with that. Still not ready to take you guys on but bit by bit better, well let's face it, wouldn't be worse. Phil

I went up to the range today to practice with the TX and after a zeroing session (top left) for 25mt, slowly and steady, things started to look a bit better. The last group of 12 shots proved to be the best so I packed up and left while feeling good about an improvement. I changed my hold on the gun as well today which seemed to make a difference. Phil

I saw that episode as well Tom and they do seem good value for money but I have not looked through one so no idea how good is the image from that glass. It was a thought for my wife's gun but she got a Leapers Bug Buster instead which suits her need very well. Quite a few on ebay I'm not well experienced to know if 30mm glass is better, logic says more light to reach the eye but I don't see any difference in brightness between my 25mm Hawke and my 30mm MTC buy there again, I have not used them in the gloom of an evening so perhaps that is when the 30mm comes into it's own. Thanks Mitch, it just might be easier to get hold of these. Phil

Countryway and uttings are out of stock at present so she will be using the AA field for the time being. Just been advised that FAP is in fact JSB Exact Jumbo RS, so they might be available. Have you tested them Mitch and if so, do they perform as well as FAP in .22. Phil

Very nice to see a youngster seeing the wonderful kindness extended by two of our members, fantastic guys. This may help with her eye issue and is something we do in clay shooting when someone starting off, has a left eye dominance but are right handed (or the other way around). Get a pair of very dark sunglasses and remove the right lens, then put black insulating tape over the left lens. I have NOT tried this for rifle shooting but the principle is the same and may just work fine as it forces the right eye to focus on the target and the left eye cannot have any bearing on the shooting.

I want to get some FAP to try in my wife's gun, who has the best prices/postage please. Phil

If the length is the issue, use a spacer or a few spacers which can be made both cheaply and easily from wood, plastic or professionally made ones. If the stock is too low, buy a Beartooth comb raiser, brilliant product, my wife had one on a shotgun she used to own and it worked a treat. http://www.avalon-guns.com/avalon/Comb-Raisers.html Phil

Good on you David. Ethan is going to be made up with that Jimmy. Phil

Nice one Chris, I did wonder how long it would be before you had one. I confess I was drooling over a .22 in Crawfords last week. Phil

As above, HW100 every day. Phil

Yes I think perhaps you could be right there Matt, better watch my step me thinks. There is still space in the bag with the gun inside. Gun length 32.5 inches with the mod fitted, 27 inches without. Phil

I had hold of the 410SL the other week, very impressed with how well balanced they are. Nice shooting by the way. Phil

You hit the nail on the head David along with some woodies that like to sit in the trees above a place where I set my hide. Now need to get some pellets to try, got AA Field but want some others including Mitch's FAP. Now there is a point, where is the best place to get them as nobody in my area sells them. Phil

For a few weeks now, my wife has shown some interest in shooting with an air rifle, she is already an experienced clay shooter and fancied having her turn with the rifle. I have been on the lookout for a small lightweight rifle, the obvious one was an Ultra but as she is buying it, did not want to spend that much on a rifle and then a scope as she may not be that keen after using the gun a while. Whilst we were in my local RFD, she spied on the shelf, a Brocock Aim-X Contour .22 which although it is a single shot gun, really appealed to her. Very light to carry around the perm and despite
