    Have you exceeded your provider limit for photo's. This happened to me a couple of years ago with photobucket so I now pay about £20 to give me a much larger store. I know I can get cheaper elsewhere but Photobucket works on all but one forum I am involved in. BBS don't put up Photobucket for technical reasons I believe which is fair enough. Phil

    Down my neck of the woods, the Firearms dept are saying that for a first time grant, it is approx 16 weeks and 14 weeks for a renewal. The true state of affairs is worse than that for a first time grant. One thing I want to tell you about is that a friend of ours is starting clay shooting again so sent off her paperwork and cheque, out of curiosity, she just phoned to get an idea of how things were doing after 10 weeks only to find that the paperwork had never got there so had to start again. With that in mind Mitch, give it a week and phone just to establish that they have it mate. P

    I am sure Si would let you have a go with his DT10...........................if he had one, it's me you old tart who has a DT10 and yes of course you can have a play with it. If there was a store for guns at the Northern Shooting Show, I might have taken it up there but not lugging that around all day and don't fancy leaving it in the car because any thief will know the owner won't be back for hours.     It was so good Deadeye that you had to tell us three times Pleased it worked out matey. Both HW and Air Arms springers will benefit from a drop in kit along with a bit of polishing, oh my word, that really does make a difference. I must say straight off that I am a total numpty when it comes to working on air rifles but a great fella from here, Charlie Caller did a brilliant job in taming my TX200HC which I could not hit a barn door with but now it is super accurate with less recoil resulting in nice tight groups.     I bought an April copy of Airgun World today just for a change and one article caught my interest. Many years ago in Birmingham and the Black Country generally they used to use old airguns in the pubs to shoot bell target and hold pub competitions, well there is a chap I know of called Dave Carter who is responsible for creating new shooting clubs in schools, universities etc etc and he has listed a few pubs in Lincolnshire to test the sport with the first pub having a write up in the magazine.     I have not had this happen before but a few minutes ago whilst looking in this section, a new thread showed, 'wanted an HW30' so I clicked on it and it threw up a page saying 'do you have permission to view this'. I returned to the threads page and the above thread had gone.....................what is all that about. Phil

    I not so sure about the Verminator Nelly, they have some really good reviews but they are not to everyone's taste. I have had a shoot with one and to be very honest it just did not feel nice in the shoulder, the weight is bit weird as well. Jimmy is 100% right regarding the need for a first kill. It is not the guns mate, it is your confidence as you have not quite managed to walk off the perm with a trophy in your hand and that is totally understandable. If you can get on to some ratting, you will suddenly find merit in the guns you have and apart from great sport, you normally get multipl

    I can't tell you about the Logun but the wildcat is worth £700-800 and most are nearer to £800. The Wildcat is right up there Nelly, why would you want to swap it for an R10. The R10 regs are not highly rated and many people exchange them for an XTX unit, heavier than the Wildcat, pretty I grant you but I wouldn't swap. If you really want to get rid of the guns, go for Rapid and when you get fed up of that, there will always be someone who will want to buy it.     Focus ring or better still side focus Rez, your UL is fixed focal length I believe so I cannot see detail clearly at say 25mt which makes it impossible to place the cross hairs exactly where I want them. A side focus allows me bring the target detail super sharp. Phil
