    Really nice looking gun Jon. I do have a soft spot for the Ultra and wanted to fit a reg, shroud and slightly longer cylinder along with a tune from one of the clever boys out there but it pushed the overall cost up too much and chopped it in for the Wildcat. Seamaster gave me a tin of Daystate pellets which were JSB Heavies and boy did they group well and on the opposite end AA Express did the same. Hope the gun is a winner for you Jon. Phil

    There were some discounts but not many and not on most of the guns I saw but there again, I was not really looking at guns to buy, more on the bits and pieces. For example 3 flocked full body crow deeks for £10 and other things of that nature along with clothing. I think if you look hard enough with cash in your pocket, there were some deals to be had but to what degree is debatable. A couple of things I looked but didn't buy are cheaper on ebay as I found this morning so I am pleased I didn't buy them. Phil

    Will you stop it, you have only just taken it out of the box Viz !!!!!! Oh yes while I think on, that Dr Bob's mag for my Mk2, I bought it on ebay as they are a bit cheaper than buying from him direct, just a thought. Phil

    It really great to see Jimmy and Ethan again and finally meet Viz, sorry I missed you Pesky. The three musketeers Viz Mac & Philpot, then I swapped over to let in Little Hunter. Don't know what the hell happened to this second photo, crap photographer. The show was as good as last year with loads to see and a few bits I bought although I have come back with some very interesting ideas for the coming months including A 12 gauge reloading machine. Now at one time I loaded all my own 12 gauge shells and really thought it was a thing of the past but not the case at all and

    The ones I used to use many years ago were basic owls of about 14'' tall and worked very well. There are loads available now although most of the true owl decoys are much smaller than the ones I had but are available from many good RFD's or one of the pigeon specialist dealer such as A1 Decoy http://www.a1decoy.co.uk/decoys-12-c.asp ebay is another place to buy them but some I think are little more than garden ornaments so look carefully and decide if you are happy with what is being offered. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jack-Pyke-Owl-Decoy-Plastic-16-High-Owl-Protection-for-Songbirds

    We have two families living in the loft, one we call 'chicken george' because he spends time with the chickens in the farm next door then comes home doing all his / her chicken & rooster impressions, I sit and watch them for ages. They are NOT in decline over here, loads of them. Phil

    One day next week Simon, I can pop over. I don't know if you are thinking of using the dremel while I am there or I can leave it with you and you can send it back. The short stroke is part of a TBT kit which we didn't need for the TX so a quick look on their website will tell you if the Prosport and TX are the same or a phone call of course but which ever it is spare and will not be used.     Bang on Jeemes, there is no pattern with crow deeks. Take a look at crows in a field no pattern but keep them within ten feet of each other because it seems to focus their intent. Crow calls are good but don't over do it. The rabbit trick is good but I have found it only works once or maybe twice as they learn quickly. DON'T SHOOT THEM EVERY DAY, SHOOT, LEAVE A COUPLE OF DAYS, SHOOT AGAIN AND SO ON. Crows are very smart and will soon catch on. Have a few eggs real or plastic to put on the ground in a make believe nest with a deek close by and that will work a few times. Phil
