  1. I only heard about the reduced fpe in Germany a few months ago, a bit of a bummer as 6fpe is not ideal for hunting so what do the Germans do I wonder. Phil
  2. Those guys who have met Ethan, know this lad is a well rounded shooter and with the training from Jimmy and Sean there is little wonder. When I was talking to him at the Show last weekend, it was not a young kid I spoke to, it was a shooting friend who knew what he was talking about. I have said it before and I will say it again, Ethan is a credit to you Jimmy. I do have to say mind that I have to listen very very very carefully because his accent is really strong and I do struggle to work out what he has just said Phil
  3. My pal has one in 410 version, super handling rifle and light BUT as Jon has said, the stock is not strong and his is also split. Phil
  4. I just don't think to post Rez and I doubt I would have this time if it wasn't for the owls and deer. I hate phone photos and by far prefer to use a good camera which of course I never take shooting.
  5. I can only agree with some of the comments above. If these things were any good, we would all be using them but the reality is that we all use scopes. Look at your budget and find a Hawke scope on the bay and if you are not sure, ask on here as there will always be someone around to offer sound advice and save you time, money and frustration. Phil
  6. Good to have such adjustment in one rifle mate. Did you have any problems with it as I read they've had some problems. Lovely set up. I'd love one but can't afford that sort of coin on an air rifle. Probably a different case all together in the FAC guise. If you have a .22 slot on your ticket could you do a barrel swap or would it have to be a different gun all together. So far Bry, no problems but to be honest most of the issues were sub 12 guns. When you think that most of the production is fac so perhaps the changes needed for the UK cause some areas that gave the problems. Long
  7. Yes it is Bry, .25, 46fpe at full power, reducing to 25fpe at the power dial but it can be tweeked a hell of a lot by using the other adjustment controls and whilst I have not done it, I believe it will go from around 10 - 70fpe Phil
  8. I love that sort of shooting nicely shown in the photo's, well done that man. Phil
  9. I was supposed to be looking after my grandson tonight but things got changed so I decided to have a quick walk around a perm just for the walk more than anything. I popped the NiteSite onto the Impact and headed off to a field that has a large tree in the middle with owls nesting in the box that was sited there a few years ago. Nothing doing so I just sat about 20yds from the tree which gave me a good view all around. The owls were getting ready for their evening foray as I could hear them in the box, the first one came out and dropped very close the ground, first bite, a mouse or vole an
  10. That is a shame Jon but as already said, it sounds like the foxes have a well established food supply. Perhaps you are right mate, it's time to find another perm. Phil
  11. Welcome aboard matey. Now to find a club in your neck of the woods should not be much of an issue but if you check the 'Shooting clubs directory' you should get sorted. http://www.shootingclubdirectory.com/ Phil
  12. Now almost at the top when to tap 'forum', it caught me out earlier today but nevertheless I like it there. Phil
  13. Nice shooting but you don't have to win the lottery to stop working......................................just become an old tart like me and retire Phil

Serious session so well done to all......................................Oh for a rookery like that, sheer envy. Phil
  15. Someone is very lucky because it was a gift at that price even being an FAC. Phil
  16. I love that photo, it captures all that is wildfowling, well taken and well shot with the geese. Phil
  17. Just over my garden wall are fields with horses in and the woodies are at times in numbers of 50+ hammering the clover, no further than 25 - 30 mt, in fact clover seems to be a major interest for them at the moment David. Phil
  18. Clair West is the MD of the company and I believe she took over from her father who founded the company if I have my facts straight. http://www.airgunshooting.co.uk/news/video-air-arms-meet-the-boss-1-4064216 Hope that helps Simon. Phil
  19. It will be fun for a garden plinker if you are able to get it to stay on zero with the scope on if it is worth putting a scope on that is. Phil
  20. Even worse if shooting DTL or Compac sporting where the shooters are in a line. The spent shells come flying out to hit the chap next to you, really good fun, not. I might take my semi auto as well if I still have then. Phil
  21. David that is just not fair mate My perms will go mental when they take the rape in but it doesn't last but fun when it does. I get pigeon as they head in to roost but with the winds we get over here, the flight paths vary quite a bit so it can be very hit and miss. Phil
  22. Just send it up Phil and ill sort it for you bud only need the stock mind nothing else atvbjimmy  Thanks mate but not yet, you can take it easy for now and take that rest. Later in the year if you are up to it and only then. Phil
  23. shhhhh, me too and the shorts but don't tell anyone. We are hijacking the post, sorry. Phil
