One Bad Apple Don't Spoil The Whole Bunch
philpot replied to just-A-snap's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Spot on Renos, I think that is your best grouping if I recall correctly. Phil -
I am considering buying an Air Arms S200t which is the split stock, adjustable comb and the track under the forend. It has a scope on at the moment but if I go ahead it will be fitted with diopter sights. Now here is the question, anybody got a hamster that would fit this gun sat around in a drawer that they would like to sell or know of where I could get one and I don't mean these Rowan super hamsters at £250+. I will reduce the power down to 6fpe as these early models have a power screw on the side so an easy fix and use it for 10mt free standing and on these pub shooting nights I report

I would agree with Simon in that my views have changed hugely over the years. As a young man not earning much money with a young family, the animals and birds shot formed an important role in our eating habits. Many years have passed with myself being more than happy to blast away at small black discs of tar/pitch going at a fair rate of speed, or in other words, clay pigeons. The old saying 'what goes around, come around' and I find myself back to where I was as a teenager enjoying sport with an air rifle and with that the old interest in hunting again but in the main with a single pellet

It won't do much harm to Ted's Holdover because he is a full time teacher and doesn't need the channel for his main income. Phil

I saw this on another forum the other day, it looks like the 'anti's' are winning, a great shame as this will be one of many to go this route or disappear from youtube altogether. You may not like Matt's channel but this WILL start to happen to British hunting channels as well in my opinion. Phil

I don't like the sound of this my friend. Your health is No 1 priority mate and I really hope this is not too serious. You take good care of yourself and if rest is needed...............................MAKE SURE YOU TAKE IT. I hope it goes well with the doctor Jimmy. All the best mate Phil

I don't have any clue on the sales figures for the Prosport or TX guns but I do believe a statement you made earlier Simon regarding them pushing sales into the TX rather than messing about catering for left handed shooters really ties in with the way their salesmen pushed me at the Northern Shooting Show last year into buying the TX rather than the Prosport. I am also inclined to think their sales of the TX is far higher than the Prosport which is why all attention is placed on that model. Coming from a national sales background, I do understand the position of the company to make a capab

.177, .22, .25 in PCP and I just take it in turns although I must admit it is usually FAC. Phil

Don't be sorry for expressing your feelings Matt, sometimes far better to get things out in the open. I'm really sorry to hear of your plight but at least the guy who sold you the gun was honourable in his dealings with you which gave you choices. I hope you are happy with the replacement gun. Phil

The 'anti' brigade do enough slagging about our sport without fellow members of this THL forum slagging off another section. Phil

How the hell have you done that Mitch at that price I would take it as well. Phil

I have to hang my head in shame.........................................I can't get my head around chairgun so left it alone. When you put in the data, what if the scope is not listed in the link which is what happened when I had a Hawke Varmint (I wish I had not sold that to Mitch now, mistake) and can you use it with an MTC scopes. I have just been looking at the Airmax and really tempted but can't really afford one right now. Phil

That is not dark Si compared to the AA stocks hitting the streets now. I think the lighter stocks shown at shows, in mags and web site look far far better with the grain jumping out on the walnut ones, not mine however as it is one of the bloody dark ones. Phil

My subscription has just finished this month and not sure about doing it again after they sacked the best editor around. It is now supposed to be a new format and much better so I will wait and see. The other mags are crap, I only buy them if I am really bored. Phil

The TX of mine loves AA Field Express and groups far better than any other pellet tested so I would have thought they would stand a good chance of giving a decent performance in your AA barrel Matt /Simon and you have seen the result at your house. Phil
