Hmmmm I see what you mean but not too tricky to put a cover on that bit if it rains, even if it is only insulating tape. Very valid point though Jimmy. Phil

Lightening The Kral Stock
philpot replied to bigmac 97kt's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
As usual Jimmy that is looking rather nice BUT I thought you were supposed to be taking it a bit easier mate, don't go and knock your self up. I know, I know, you just can't help it...............................can you. Phil -
Well done that man....................................hope you like eating rabbit at your house Phil

What power rating is it now jimmy with the wick turned down. Phil
-
No I didn't know that Mark and if I still had an HW100, I would give them a try.
-
Nice one Mark, I bet you can't wait to get them over the deeks. Interesting how RWS Superdomes are the suggested pellet, every gun I have tried them in, they were shite but if they do the business in your guns, that is all that matters. Phil

Nice one matey. You will both like this pub, very nice indeed. No idea what the grub is like but I want to try it out so if we do, we will go earlier. Time to hit the sack, out until midnight on the rats last night, crow shooting today and bell target tonight, I am now tired but it won't stop me being in the hide tomorrow morning after the crows again. I hate to say this Jon / Jimmy but........................................your stumpy is longer than mine Is that two put together because mine only has five sections including the ends. Phil

I prefer the dog personally Jon.................................... Well you missed a good night tonight, lovely village, lovely pub and really wished it was my local. Nowhere near as hot inside Rez and to top it all off, the old tart performed good style. First round, all fives but no bells ringing out and to be totally honest, I couldn't even see the bloody hole with the lighting. A quick change of lighting (switching some off and putting others on) gave a nice clear view of the hole, all 8mm of it but at least I could see it. 4 OUT OF 5 25.4 ex 25.5 not bad for this old age pens

They are good little mods and I see you have removed a segment. I popped one onto my Wildcat with reduced segments, very useful mod. Phil

Just been having a search but only found .22. The really crap AA site doesn't even list pellets. Looks like you might be out of luck but I will ask my RFD to look through his book to double check. It is a real pity if they are only available in .22. They are just like Fields to look at Si not the JSB style heavy. Phil
-
Not sure but your shroud may still need a mod fitting as many shrouds do not have decent noise suppression. Phil

Just a quick reminder for Rez and Simon.......................................tomorrow night at Donington on Bain Phil

I had considered lubing my pellets Jon but to be honest it seems a load of faff. Mark sprays silicone on his mag which seems to work for him but the thought of washing, drying and then lubing Nice result Si by the way. It rained a little down here but I stayed in as I have buggered my neck (fcuk knows how) so somewhat painful. One pellet to try Si is AA Field Heavy, wow what a pellet, I am very impressed with them. I don't think XTX are doing any tuning work any more Jimmy, just selling tuning parts. Phil
-
You sure ain't little any more Ethan so a name change is in order BUT you will always be little hunter to grandad. Phil

I have studied Si Pittaway's you tube vid so many times it is untrue. Now it may well be that as an aging old fart, I perhaps am doing something wrong but in all honesty I really don't think so, always willing to learn though. The advantage of chairgun is obvious, I just cannot get it to work. Phil
-
Looking good Jimmy. Nicely put together review mate and I am also looking forward to hunting feedback. Phil

I tell you what Si. that fcuking chairgun drives me round the twist. Again the other day I spent bloody ages reading up and watching how to use chairgun. After I had the idea of it, I completed the set up page and fed in all the shite in order to get my hold over sorted for the Impact .25 fac and the Rapid .22 fac. Now with all the information logged and printed onto paper, off I went to test the chairgun out. FCUKING MILES OFF, WHAT A LOAD OF SHITE. I set up a new target at 65mt, chairgun gave me 4.5mildot holdover..............................in truth it was less than one mil

Good to get out Si but too bloody hot for me. I went bunny hunting on a friend's perm, took the first at 57mt with the Impact and left it where it dropped while we sat in the crop waiting for more to come out. Not one but four foxes came out of the undergrowth after my rabbit so we called it quits at that area but managed a few more in a different patch. So nice being out in the slightly cooler night air last night. What is that app, chairgun ??? Phil

Well if that is a T200, it looks like I have one too. Phil
-
Not able to look at your photos on your profile as nothing showing but that might be just for your eyes only, never tried to look at photos via someones else's profile nevertheless, I am guessing you are quite right regarding my 200 rifle. Phil
-
Are you sure it's not a T200 I had one last year in 177 awesome guns I've just got the mk3 .22 class we guns Ah, you may be right, it has the track underneath the forend to take a hamster. I bought it as an S200 but stand to be corrected if that is the case. One thing is for sure and just as you have said, a very accurate little rifle. There is a .22 version in the shop without the track under the forend but still a split stock and I love them, not keen on the one piece stock as they just don't feel right in the grip but I am sure they are bloody good. Phil
-
I confess that I love this little gun, it is the first S200 I have owned but I don't think it is going to be my last. I would be interested to know what shot count you get from the .22. Phil

Photobucket all the way. It's free unless like me I store a large amount of photo's for forums etc. I also have it on my phone so if I take a photo on the phone, I can upload to the bucket so when I get home it is already on the main computer. I have uploaded a photo onto the forum from my phone but to be honest I simply cannot remember how to do it........................another senior moment. Phil
