  1. I have watched this film soooooo many times now, it is giving me a hard on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Phil
  2. It is a pity you are so far away Mitch otherwise you could have had a play with my Impact. The new Crown is very interesting on paper and looks superb but no idea when it become available although a friend of mine is in touch with FX in Sweden to get the low down, he got the first Wildcat and Impact in the UK and I think he wants the first Crown as well. Phil
  3. Good to know your thought on the 110 and I will keep my fingers crossed on the FAC ticket Mitch. Any thoughts on what rifle in FAC you will go for. Phil
  4. Impressive Mitch, both the group and the fact that you have a 100mt indoor range...............................now I really do have envy of you there mate I was looking at the 110 last week and the more I look at it, the more I fancy one. Phil
  5. Must be my bloody eyes but I can't see a child. Phil
  6. This is like how long is a piece of string and my thoughts are with you. Firstly, I will say that I have been clay shooting at all levels for over 40 years trying all manor of combinations to get the highest result possible but the bottom line is to test any combination over a period unless of course your test fails immediately. Distance to target has a bearing and providing the clays are within 15 - 50 yds, 1/4 & 1/2 will do you very well HOWEVER you will find tighter chokes will produce a longer shot string giving more chances of hitting the clay. Many top shooters use 3/4 &
  7. I have a Chrony F1, with shades if you are interested ...................................£60 posted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrony-F1-Chronograph-Suitable-For-Rifle-Air-Rifle-Paintball-And-Archery-/122545549829?epid=1805078971&hash=item1c8848b205:g:peUAAOSw1x1UMtiu Phil
  8. Will you take £600 for both. Please confirm the barrel length on the 20b Where do you live. To be very honest with you, I am looking to buy a new trap gun tomorrow which is for my wife so it will depend on how the deal goes as to whether I can afford yours as well and will confirm after I have sorted things tomorrow. Phil
  9. Just found some Hawke high mounts so I will chuck them in as well as they are no use to me Jimmy. Phil
  10. Following on from the sales thread, if you need a scope Jimmy, I have a brand new Hawke Vantage 3-9x50. No good to me without AO function, if Si picks it up on his way south or north, it is yours or ethan's mate with my compliments. Phil
  11. Good going Si. I assume the led lamp on the Chrony gives a decent and reliable light for using indoors. Do you mount one on each shade. I bet they are tons cheaper than the Chrony ones, where did you get them Si, a link perhaps mate. Phil
  12. Ah, I should have known better. Sorry, I don't have another laserking mate but may have another scope floating about if you need one. Phil
  13. You two at it again and of all things Jimmy, a LAMINATED STOCK, what is the world coming to.............................. Phil
  14. To be honest, I only use the case to transport the gun and never leave the gun in the case or bag, just in case (excuse the pun) there is any moisture on the gun which will turn to rust in the case. Phil
  15. Spot on Si, that prosport is certainly up for the job. Phil
  16. Quote '.25 - might as well throw a brick underarm - awful trajectory.' Except when it has 47fpe pushing it along then it has a better trajectory than your sub 12 .177 Zero at 25mt-----------1/2 a mildot hold over at 60mt, AA fields 25.4gr, job done Phil
  17. It is way to high when you consider all I am wanting is to find shot quarry that cannot be found in crops / long grass so the Pulsar is not in the frame but thanks. Phil
  18. Well they are well beyond my reach, it will have to be a cheapo on an my pension, I can say that for certain. Phil
  19. Quote ' The era of the film is 1978 "ish"- the year I left school - 20 years after "POPS" ( Philpot) ' I left school in 1968 cheeky bugger, I feel old enough with you slapping on an extra 10 years Mark so that me and you are nearer to my age than perhaps you thought or hoped Phil
  20. Thanks Mitch, that was not the one I was thinking of but the link went onto a review of the Seek Vs Flir so even better info. I am going to have to get something this year and unless there is a dedicated unit at a really good price, one of these will do the job. I like the seek for it takes it's power from the phone rather than having it's own battery as the Flir although the Flir does seem to have better detail and functions. I will see how things progress through the year because there are going to be a huge increase in demand for thermal imaging in normal working life not jus
  21. 84 degrees here with no wind, just popped down to the farm, about 100 crows dropping in on the freshly cut field but just too hot for me. I fitted a 5mt Thule wind out canopy to the back of the house, 3.5mt in depth so it is warm shade and gin/tonic today and bugger the shooting although I may be tempted to have a walk out about 10pm for a few bunnies as I know someone who wants some. Phil
  22. I think everyone here should feel somewhat privileged to have the ability to enjoy our passion for shooting. Phil
  23. I remember reading some time ago that you could buy a device / camera that along with some software turned your phone into a thermal spotter, has anyone here got one or tried one out or even remember who made it. From what I recall, it can be used to find dead quarry that proves to be difficult to find after being shot dropping into crop etc. Now I don't have a dog and I'm not getting one and started thinking about this unit as my pigeon finder.
