Here you go Dave, Caesar Guerini Summit Trap, 32''...................................................mean machine. It obviously handles all trap targets well but does well on sporting targets and we will find out how well it shoots on skeet tomorrow when we put it to the test. It should be fine as my 32'' DT10 smokes em without issue. Sorry admin, not air rifle I know. I promise not to do it again as I stand in the corner Phil

Jimmy, you are a special fella. Now, how are you going to get it to Tim. If you have no plan yet, take it to Si and somehow over to me and I will ferry it to Tim if that is any good. Phil

Tomorrow dave, I will pop up a pic. Phil

I made the phone call today Pete and had a good chat with Beryl and Geoff, it was good to talk to them again but I forgot to mention about getting him over for a shoot at Melrose...................next time !! Phil

In that case Jimmy, is it worth fitting a reg, that is if one will fit but another cost element. When are you going down to see Si. Phil

Had it been a .22, I would already have bought it. Phil

Had it been shooting to one side only as the distance increased, I would have considered the mounts to be changed but going left and right throws that out of the window. If you can repeat this problem on a regular basis, perhaps it is worth shooting through a chrono for the full string and check what fpe is being produced when the left and right flyers take place. Just a thought Phil

Very nice to meet up with you today Pete and I can see why Mitch is raving about the HW110, very slick indeed. So pleased to meet your father in law who turned out to be the brother of my good old friend Geoff. It is a small world and I was trying to work out how long ago it was that I last saw Graham and think it must be over 20 years at the very least and it has prompted me to get in touch with Geoff later tonight if I remember when I get back from clay shooting. All the best and stay in touch and perhaps we can get both Geoff and Graham along with yourself over to Melrose one Tuesday ev

Just got one for my son in law complete with whip for £65 with 4 years left on the bottle if that helps Rob. I think this was a bargain though. Phil

Best range finder ever and only £20, bought one last year for on the farm to set hold over distance shooting as it goes out to 100mt. The only draw back is getting the rabbit to sit still whilst I use it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverline-Open-Reel-Surveyors-Tape-100m-Mt47-Measuring-Measure-/361777668916?hash=item543ba12334 Phil

I don't know if there are any gun shops on Anglesey but it might be worth popping over to Bangor Rifle club to get some help and advice if needed as well as having a place to zero the scope and get some practice. http://bangorrifleclub.com/about-us.php Phil

Agreed Jon. I know bloody well it is not an NV unit but trying to get them to admit that was a non starter and I am not going to buy one and submit it to ebay for them to get my money back, as said fcuk em. Phil

I have seen them on you tube but as Mitch says, you will need to spend a fortune on different background designs. Any one want a two man pop-up hide Phil

The Trigger Grip Tripod WILL sort cant and swivel 360 if you so wish and soooo much more fcuking use than a bi-pod. Phil

Follow up post to the one below. Earlier post:- This one has me confused as I am certain it is a daylight only range finder BUT if it can be used with an IR torch, then it has to be the best value NV range finder on the market today by a long way. I am going to contact them for more information. http://www.ebay.co.u...508&rk=1&rkt=1 I have sent 4 messages to these people asking if this unit will work in total darkness and does it respond to IR lighting. The response each time is 'please read through the technical spec for all your answers'. Now despite me telling the

The one and only downside to the TX is the weight so if you are walking around your perm, you may find it a pain but if you do a great deal of static shooting from a hide.................................brilliant and very accurate. I reluctantly sold mine and it was only because of the weight, no other reason but there again I am an old tart. Phil

Many years ago there was a TV prog called the 'Philpot Files' which my old boss used to watch so then he started nick named me philpot, it just stuck. Phil

A very interesting thread. I had been toying with moving onto a .17HMR or .22 whilst still using my FAC air rifle for most bunnies but in all honesty, I think there are so many options with their advantages and disadvantages that I will just stick with my FAC air for the time being until such time that I am quite sure what to go for. I think the best thing for crow shooting is to site the hide a day or two before you shoot if possible. When I place the decoys even in to about 17mt, there is no hesitation from the birds, they just come straight in. I know not everyone can set the hide up in advance but if you can, you are in for some good sport. I leave mine in place for a week or even two if the site is getting loads of crows but only shoot every third day to let the crows settle again, works for me. Phil

I will let you know Pete as we may be clay shooting at Beverley Phil
