Career 707 .22 Pellet Swap From Bisley Magnums To H&n Fields
philpot replied to kenj's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hmmm, strange, I have had quite a few tins from Uttings and not one had an issue with deformed skirts. I did have a couple of tins where there was damage to the skirts a couple of years ago and swore I would not buy them again BUT I now use AA in all three cals .177, .22 and .25 with nothing but praise. Good on yer Jimmy, I actually think you would enjoy it matey. Phil

The only SMK pistol that I have heard several guys using for ratting is the PP700w which they have fitted little stocks, scopes and mods to. I know one of the guys has found them to be spot on but single shot only. Not sure how many shots per fill though. https://www.solware.co.uk/smk-pp700w-pcp-air-pistol Phil

Brilliant dogs Jimmy, my pal has one, they love to eat and rag anything he shoots so not much left for the table You are going to have fun with this one, I love em. I am going to get a thermal camera to find lost quarry.......... Phil -
I am usually found there at some point in the day but this one is MY porn, Beretta DT10, 32'', the Caesar Guerini is my wife's new gun. Phil

I know my RFD has just given 4 stocks to a guy for carving designs on, seen one, very impressive. When I go in next week, I will ask if he any onl ones kicking around for you. Now I know little about this procedure but I do know that the bandsaw cuts differently on soft wood compared to hard woods so the thought of practicing on a 'plank' will not work well enough to be sure of a good job on the real thing. I only know that from what a carpenter told me a little while ago. Not as cheap as they were when I looked before but these are on ebay :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Comb-cheek-rais

I went out for a stroll to a perm which has latex barley and it is starting to change colour. This field is a long, very long narrow strip about 120mt by about 1500mt with woods running all along one side , which are not my perm but it has a few dead trees on the very edge with lots of feathers underneath so now planning where to drop in the hides. There is natural cover in the wood edge but I have to be careful as the woods has a keeper and nobody is allowed in there so it may be just simply safer to use the net on the fringe of the wood but clearly on my perm. It is all looking promi

YOU Jimmy could do this no problem but you would need a bandsaw as I have been told and the riser unit can even be bought on ebay for less than £20 Get your thinking cap on matey. Phil

Right Dave this guy has got back to me. PM inbound Phil
-
Ah, good stuff mate. I have located the guy on another forum and sent him a PM so we will see what he has to say and I will let you know Dave. You will at least have a couple of options. Phil
-
In that case Dave, speak to Premier Guns based at Doveridge shooting ground and not so far for you. I don't know the guys name but they have a gunsmith on site who cuts the stock and fits an adjustable comb raiser. It is a couple of years ago, maybe three but whatever, they quoted me £250 to do the job completely. There is also the ISIS system. Their products are very well made and have used their recoil pads on Trish's (my wife) guns with great effect but they also do a comb raiser which is a lot less than stock alteration. http://www.recoilsystems.com/combraiser.php If I can find

Career 707 .22 Pellet Swap From Bisley Magnums To H&n Fields

I saw this on another forum, I was going to suggest you try a tin of Air Arms Field Heavy, 18gr. I used them in my Rapid .22 fac at 29fpe so similar power and they performed superbly, deffo the best pellets I tried and far better than H&N FTT in that gun. I have to get them from Uttings as no shops in my area sell them but Uttings are good to deal with. http://www.uttings.co.uk/p109224-air-arms-diabolo-field-plus-heavy-22-5-52-pellets-x-250-aifp5-52/#.WV_m3fnysdU Phil -
Yes it does and I know they are worth more. PM returned Phil

The stock height is perfect for my wife and to be honest if I concentrate, I can shoot it flat as well for sporting but my DT10 shoots as flat as a pancake so I would only shoot this gun as a test although I am looking forward to trying it on skeet. No you can't have it...........................the boss would kill me.........................and you Phil

FX Wildcat .177, 5 mags, standard barrel muzzle plug + Hugget mod adaptor + 1/2'' UNF standard mod adaptor ( which is fitted and shown in the main photo ). The rifle comes in a really good quality BSA compact gun slip along with original FX box if required. There is also a mag holder fitted to the stock although I do not actually use it as I keep all 5 in a little pouch in my pocket but nevertheless it is there. MTC Mamba Lite 3 - 12 x 44, SF scope included but can be removed if not required. The mounts are BKL double strap. The gun is in perfect condition and the only reason for selli

Here you go Dave, Caesar Guerini Summit Trap, 32''...................................................mean machine. It obviously handles all trap targets well but does well on sporting targets and we will find out how well it shoots on skeet tomorrow when we put it to the test. It should be fine as my 32'' DT10 smokes em without issue. Sorry admin, not air rifle I know. I promise not to do it again as I stand in the corner Phil
-
Jimmy, you are a special fella. Now, how are you going to get it to Tim. If you have no plan yet, take it to Si and somehow over to me and I will ferry it to Tim if that is any good. Phil
-
Tomorrow dave, I will pop up a pic. Phil
-
Ah, stubble Mark.......................................it won't be long now and the pigeon fun starts all over again on the stubble, Yahoooooo Phil
-
Glass fibre Dave, no cheap tack plastic...............................you should know better. Change of subject but I told you I was getting a new shotty for my wife, Caesar Guerini Summit, 32'', adjustable stock, multi choke trap......................fcuking awsome Dave, a clay busting machine if ever there was one and her scores are on the up I might bring it to the Doncaster show in Sept. Phil

I made the phone call today Pete and had a good chat with Beryl and Geoff, it was good to talk to them again but I forgot to mention about getting him over for a shoot at Melrose...................next time !! Phil

In that case Jimmy, is it worth fitting a reg, that is if one will fit but another cost element. When are you going down to see Si. Phil
