  1. After one phone chat with them last year, I came away thinking that they think they are 'gods gift to the airgun world' and would not deal with them on principle and all that tosh regarding FX Impact, what a load of rubbish. I don't blame you one bit Mitch. Phil
  2. Can't disagree Mitch and I wouldn't pay full retail and that is for sure despite it being very good. Yep, really looking forward to getting my hands on the thermal spotters, hoping to get them before my hols but suspect they will not be ready by then. Phil
  3. I went out last night for a few bunnies and what a difference this unit made, one rabbit I was going to shoot at was actually just too far in reality but a little further down the farm lane, two rabbits presented themselves. The first was 66m and the second, 82m neither of which was special BUT the fact that I had holdover sorted ensured a clean head shot in each case. Several others were taken at closer range but the precision of the shots knowing the exact distance made a huge difference. the power of the Impact .25 was already well known to me and the fact that it was rare any rabbit wo
  4. Why not give Browning UK a call Phil
  5. As above Dave, they work just as well with digital scales but mine are fcuked and went in the bin a couple of weeks ago or you could have borrowed those. Phil
  6. The NiteSite rangefinder has a bracket which clips directly onto the scope mount before fitting the NV so the whole unit stays firmly together. Tricky to explain so this might show it better Pav. https://www.nitesite.com/ Phil
  7. Yes I have seen those Pav but then you need the fittings and where to mount when using a NiteSite Viper, this was not much more and is part of the main NV so very neat and suits my needs. I would have gone the CRS route had the price been retail at £250 but it was not so I am very happy. Phil
  8. I bought a NiteSite rangefinder at the South Yorks Shooting Show at the weekend and tried it out tonight, what a game changer, superb bit of kit. Flat wheat stubble fields are tricky to judge distances at night and more so when shooting a little longer distances or at least they are to me and this unit does what it says on the tin and even better when I paid about £60 below normal retail price. I might even save on pellet usage now Phil
  9. It is a really nice looking rifle Jon and as others have said strong likeness to the AA400/410. I very much like the shape of the grip, plenty to get hold of there. Enjoy it matey. Phil
  10. My off the shelf Ultra .177 produced around 30 usable shots. That means 30 shots that were on target before starting to drop point of impact. You will get quite a few more from the Scorpion but I cannot say how many more. Phil
  11. What can I say, I have the Impact but this hmmmmmm a bit to tactical, anyway Jimmy, I thought you only liked wood stocks ........................... mind you, so did I until I first tried the Wildcat then the Impact. Maybe we just change our tastes as we get older. Phil
  12. Not too sure of your area but this might help you. http://www.shootingclubdirectory.com/scotland/ Phil
  13. I bought a NiteSite NV rangefinder for £190 after my wife, Trish, decided to barter them down so that was a saving of approx £60 A real tree T-shirt and hoody for £15 Crow deeks were £5 each but again I bartered them down to 3 for £10 and lastly a hide pole table/tray thingy which is great for cartridges / cuppa / and a slot to lean the shotty against. Some good prices but not a great show. I agree with Si, why didn't you let us know you were there Billy Phil
  14. Nice to see you again today boys. Ethan, that Yilditz .410o/u shotguns was a real cracker and we WILL get you on one before long bonnie lad. I did drool over that Jeep Wrangler as you go in the centre ................................. now that has my name written all over it. Phil
  15. It was good to see SI, Jimmy and Ethan today at the show BUT in all honesty it was not a great show and doesn't compare to the Northern Shooting Show although there were a few bargains to be had and I did get a few. Not so sure that I will go again and have booked tickets for the Game Fair and Northern Shooting Show 2018 so give this one a miss. Nice to see you guys again. Phil
  16. I like the sound of that Mark and if it is a quiet night, a snack is close to hand, like your thinking mate. Phil
  17. Liquidized cat food mixed with olive oil
  18. RM8, avoid it like the plague, they have had loads with regulator issues and the insides are poorly made. I got rid of mine as soon as possible in part ex for an HW100. Some cheaper guns are okay but as many on here will say spend a bit more for a long term return with a gun which will go the distance and give you years of good use. It is not snob value that people will tell you to buy a better gun than perhaps ones you may consider on a price point, it is because many of us have wasted money on guns that simply not been as good as we wished. That doesn't mean the SMK900 is a pile of crap
  19. Congratulations on your up coming birthday, the wedding and the gun. Isn't it lovely to have ladies in our lives like these, we popped into the RFD last week to have a look at a .22 Anschutz rimfire which is a minter and Trish, my wife, said just get it or I will ................................... no brainer, just waiting for the variation ticket to come back and another in in the cabinet. I am well pleased for you Simon ................................ the carbine sounds good Phil
  20. Good to have you back again matey. Once it is in the blood..................................it stays. Phil
  21. Yes I was the same Simon, watching Tim as he did my TX to perfection but as soon as I got back in the car with my reworked TX, everything he told me had gone. I just don't take on board that sort of info, I wish I could but I don't. Lovely guns but just too heavy for me, still fancy a 'Tim tuned' HW57 ...................................................... perhaps one day. Phil
  22. Custom Stocks based on the Sheffield / Rotherham border. https://www.customstock.co.uk/ Phil
  23. Shortly followed by a .22-250 etc, I can almost guarantee it I bet his pension gets some hammer this month lol dj It just did John but I will be a long time dead. 22-250 oooooer Tim, I had not thought of that but then we are into much more expensive ammo .............................. the pension ................... the pension Phil
  24. 25. A little bit tooooo special for bell target I think Rez. I rather like it but there again I love my FX Impact so I guess I am to far gone. Phil
