  1. It does vary from one police authority to another. In North Linc's the grant period they try to reach is 12 to 14 weeks but that is being reached with people waiting 6 months or more and was certainly the case for a friend of mine. Regarding o/u shotguns, your best solution is to save some more money whilst waiting for your SGC as £500 will not buy you much in terms of quality. The big three names to look for are Beretta, Browning and Miroku. Any of these will both out last you and out perform you so be rest assured they represent a sound purchase. If you have to stay with your budge
  2. I have to say Mark, those FWB serve you very well indeed mate. As a matter of interest, what weight is the 124 and 127. I am going to have to get another springer at some stage me thinks. Phil
  3. As you say Mitch, a very poor attempt to nick some of the Impact design but not very well and the stock straight from an AR gun...............................not nice. Phil
  4. Love the 97 stock Jimmy, really nice. Phil
  5. Ahhh fair enough Jimmy. Yes the FX Streamline is now resident in North Lincs after a flying visit up to Scarborough to see our Si which was nice to get together again mate. From Si, we went over to Pickering to visit a shop my wife likes and also to the RFD who has an offer on Hawke Endurance scopes with approx £100 off the price, well it would rude not to, don't you think so a 5 - 15 x 50 is ready to go on one of the guns but not sure yet as I may well do a shuffle round with the scopes after today's purchase. I must say the sound mod that Si has made is so effective and weigh
  6. A little cock up in sending the scope Gary, I had asked my daughter to post it for me, or at least I thought I had but my sweet girl says not, senior moment AGAIN soooo I have posted it today and you should get it Tues / Wed Sorry about that. Phil
  7. Me........................................what on earth makes you think that James, jumping to conclusions I say. Phil
  8. oooooohh who could that be I wonder. Phil
  9. Right Phill, I was up for one of these scopes until I was told that they are NOT suitable for add on NV so I didn't buy one. Now the bloke who told me that was an idiot by the name of Tony Belas, MD of MTC / Daystate. On my next visit to MTC stand at another show, I spoke to the same dick again who on this occasion said it was fine to use an add on NV despite the web site stating it is not suited.............................................. Nitesite now produce an adjustable solid camera holder which would allow you to set the camera where it was needed but when I phoned Nitesite fo
  10. Jon, that is really lovely mate, really lovely but I have got my eye on a new rifle, I do however wish my budget was a bit bigger because I would be sooooo tempted to take this away from you. Phil
  11. It is so surprising just how good DIY NV builds are and the only reason I don't use mine is that the Nitesite is much lighter and no extra IR torch but no better in terms of image quality when decent Sony 700 cameras are used. Nice work matey Phil
  12. Excellent shooting Jon, that will take some beating. You must have far better weather than we have today, the biggest snow flakes I have ever seen and now rain. Shotgun out of the french doors is not a bad idea, probably better than I can do with a rifle. Phil
  13. You changing your mind Mark, after all you make the rules. QUOTE 'Any sub 12 air rifle can partake, any calibre, anyone,- it`s fun ' Anyway, I will have a sub 12 to play with next week so I will have a bash and give you a laugh if nothing else. Phil
  14. One Hawke will be on it's way tomorrow Gary with my compliments matey. All for a good cause. Phil
  15. Why wash my mouth out Mark, I am so so so so so sorry, I will never let it happen again to one of your threads........................................................... TWAT Phil
  16. Just thought, there isn't a scope for the Airsporter and I do have a Hawke Vantage 3-9x44 non AO if it is any good that you can have Gary. Just let me know mate. Phil
  17. As always Simon, a well written post. For those of you who do not really know Simon, he is an exceptional springer shooter and to see him in action is something to behold. I remember when Simon used my brand new TX, a right handed gun with a left handed shooter and I watched as he proceeded to place three pellets on top of the first aim point pellet. I on the other hand had great difficulty in placing five shots on an A5 piece of paper which really made me want to sell the rifle, that is until our Tim (charlie caller) turned it into a fantastic shooting tool and even I was able to produce
  18. Okay Jon, well just bear it in mind, I can always take it over to see our Tim (charlie caller) to work some magic but it is down to cost when I have done my purchase. Phil
  19. Quote 'oh and theres a reclining office chair tucked in there haha' Typical of a south yorkie.......................................get nice and comfortable, fishing stove in there as well matey. my kind of hide !!!!! Phil
  20. Does the 57 need sorting in terms of a drop in kit or is it just sh1te anyway which makes it even cheaper I have only shot one which was in the RFD for ages and it shot superbly with tiny groups on his 25mt indoor range and it is much lighter than all other under levers which was my main attraction. I should have bought but didn't and I suppose I would not make huge use of one outside the range but I really did enjoy using it. Clearly you are not in sales Jon but there again perhaps this is a new method of subliminal selling. Phil
  21. The HW57 may be of interest Jon if I have any money left over from buying a sub 12 pcp, pm me if you will mate and let me how much you want as and when you are ready matey. I would have been interested in the FN12 but in all honesty, 8 shot mags drive me nuts on the rats as I am loading bloody mags all the time and would want a number of mags which could be a bit tricky getting hold of some. Phil
  22. Yes, I see you have one in the sales section, a Falcon if I recall correctly. So what else are you selling Jon. Phil
  23. The feeder looks good and a strip of aluminium down the edges will make it last longer. Looks like you can sit the weather out in that hide, nice waterproof roof. Phil
  24. When I get a sub 12, I will have a go. Phil
  25. Sorry it was not mean't to be offensive. I did say 'nice shooting' Mark and directing our new member to the right section I thought I was being helpful. Phil
