  1. Nice looking gun, I wonder what and where the cocking lever is. Not sure if it is comfortable on the face, I like some pups but I wish more attention is paid to the cocking and comb. Phil
  2. Thank heavens...................................now enjoy. Phil
  3. That is a good result both with the quick shots but also the performance of your dog, nice one. Phil
  4. Welcome to the forum That is a seriously good bag on both photo's, well done that man. I rather like the look of your gun as well but what is it. Phil
  5. love your R10, very very nice indeed. Phil
  6. Yes I think is it more to stop someone from wasting money and having a gun that will not sell easily second hand because we have all lost money on guns and bought ones that were nothing short of mistakes so as a group trying to steer people away from guns that have had many issues is just trying to help and take care of our fellow members. Phil
  7. There is a reason why a number of us are advising you not to buy an RM8 and I have listed some of the reasons earlier in this thread. I really wish I had been given the advice before buying the one I had and that is one of the strengths of a forum where we try to look after members giving advice when we have some knowledge about the subject. You will find that this is not the only forum where you will get more comments similar to the ones you have seen on here but your call matey. There are plenty of these guns out there and many of their owners are not part of a forum, perhaps really no
  8. Love the rat shooting and compliment you on the quality of the photo's. Phil
  9. You use a pump Tim because you are tall, young and fit unlike others on here, not including myself of course with my racing snake figure I could never be put into the unfit grouping Phil
  10. Personally I would not shim any mounts as you cannot get an even grip to the mount instead it is held at two points only on each mount instead of grip over the full contact area of the mount. Far better to buy a set of adjustable mounts from Sportsmatch which will also ensure you don't do any damage to the scope / NV. Phil
  11. You may remember those days well Mark but you are an old tart when all is said and done.........................................................hmmm, retract that because I am older than you, perhaps we read about those days in a book of the olden days, I'll get my hat n coat. Looking at the pike stuff is making me think I had better get my lure gear out and have a session cos it has been an age since I went piking so it is about time. I do have a stunning Dragon rod and Quantum reel for sale if anyone is interested, must get them on the sales section soon. Phil
  12. I thought my refill costs were good, £5 each for both my 4lt and 12lt bottles with a much coffee as I want but £3 is a cracking price. Phil
  13. Voymir has been up and down on .25 stock and whilst some of the prices are very good, I just bought all my stock from Uttings in part because I settled on AA Field .25 as they simply gave better groups. I have a selection of .25 pellets so if you want to try some, let me know. Phil
  14. No wonder these guns were held in such high regard........................................................................I suppose you played a small part in the result Mark Phil
  15. You are making the assumption that the importer, Armex, will help with any problems, this was not my experience at all. At the end of the day it is your money and if you choose to ignore the advice given, born out of experience of some members, then go ahead, you never know, perhaps they have made massive improvements to the gun although I seriously doubt it but nevertheless good luck in your choice. Phil
  16. Okay now my opinion....................Do not buy one. These are made to a price, front end heavy and I do mean heavy, sticking bolt and mag, poor reg. The gun is accurate while ever the reg is working. My standard RM8 varied from 11.3 down to 9.1fpe and I was one of many on another forum who had serious power issues, I could not wait to get rid of it and as the only difference between the standard and varmint is the stock, same old crap underneath. As already said, buy something far better second hand. Phil
  17. Are you producing the mugs and keyrings Simon as there is a good exhibition on at the NEC soon called 'Sign and Digital' well worth a visit. I have just given away my mug print press, long story. Phil
  18. You don't hang about Kriss do you, it can take me a year or two of non use before I then decide it can go. It is only just over a month old........ Phil
  19. I am surprised at that Simon, a very pretty rifle. Phil
  20. Hmmmm not so clear cut then. In truth it is a bit heavier than I would like, still casually looking as there is no rush and a s/h rifle would be fine with me as long as it has a decent shot count. I would like to have bought that tuned R10 of Rabid's that was sold on the sales pages just didn't have the cash. Phil
  21. I can't knock that Mark.....................................with a springer I could really envy it !!!! Phil
  22. I like that Jimmy and a good reminder to ask your opinion of the Raider as I was looking at a Raider 12 in the RFD yesterday. The price is good and I am told that shot count on the 12 is around 175 - 200 per fill in .22. I am chewing it over as a ratter and very little else as I do want a good shot count and under £500 it don't look shabby. Are they accurate Jimbo Phil
  23. I agree this is a US aimed piece of marketing and if electronic air rifles are your thing, great but not for me although the Wolverine R looks a better bet. I would say the lines of these guns are very pleasing but I simply do not trust Daystate with my money to give me a quality product. If I were to spend a lump of cash again, it would be a sub 12 FX Impact to join my fac version and still have a slab of cash left over. The fact is that my pension will not run to another gun of this value so it is only my active imagination that even lets me consider buying one Phil
  24. 31gr now that is a heavy load for sub 12 when you consider that I am using 25.4gr at 47fpe, mind you it flies very flat. Phil
