  1. Little shooting and lots of beers ,............................. Phil
  2. Perhaps Airtech is not one to use at the moment due to issues Carl has been having. I understand from a few posts on other forums that Ratworks turnaround speed was very good and the end results were extremely good. Phil
  3. I have not seen one in the flesh and whilst I quite like some of the Brocock guns, it is the fact that they are Daystate and the really bad after sales they have that prevents me considering one although I did come close to getting a Bantam. I do have an Impact and yes they are more money but we are talking about a gun in a different league to a Brocock. Save up a bit more and have the Impact IMO Phil
  4. A very special man, R.I.P.
  5. Has the scope arrived Gary. Phil
  6. I certainly can't speak for all FX rifles Rez but I have had three and now my forth witch have only been used for hunting and with the number of rifles sold in the US, I suspect the vast majority are used for hunting. They shouldn't fare any worse than most guns. Phil
  7. The Streamline is not new Phill, just new to me but in fairness the pellets are, as far as I know new to the gun so they will need a bit of leading in. As you say with the rimmy all dead bunnies and the Streamline will be dead rats I think. Phil
  8. I have been up to the RFD today as they have a 25mt indoor range and as I wanted to change my Airmax scope from the Rimmy and onto my new FX Streamline that I picked up from Si and get it zero'ed and pellet tested along with zero the Rimmy as that now has the new Hawke Endurance I bought on Friday. It seemed like a good time to play at shoot the dots and there lie my first problem, I couldn't see the bloody spot so a quick adjustment to make the dots, 5mm now I can see them. I must admit this is much harder than I thought because when we do a 5 shot group and think, no problem, piece of c
  9. Sorry Mark, I have clearly offended you in this matter which I assure you was never my intention. Phil
  10. Lighten up Mark. I am not disrespecting your thread, conversations do pop up from time to time and in this situation, three of us had thoughts which came to mind. You may not like me or the guns I use but just enjoy the forum for what it is, a group of friends chatting about shooting and if I or others stray away from the title, it does NOT mean there is a lack of respect to the OP. PHIL
  11. Bang on point Mitch. .17hmr will blow a rabbit apart unless shot at very long distance, rimmy better for wind than my .25 FAC Impact having a 40gr slug but my FAC air is top dog. Phil
  12. I bought a Remington bench rest a couple of years ago, really solid and works well on springer, PCP and rimfire although I paid a fair bit less than eBay price BUT I am so pleased with it that I would pay this price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Allen-Remington-Aluminium-Shooting-Bench-Rest-Shot-Saver-Rifle-Pistol-Adjustable/382331775809?epid=2255841971&hash=item5904bfeb41:g:uckAAOSwyjBW3pdD Phil
  13. Superb hides CH and something my shooting partner and myself will be doing more of this year. Phil
  14. Nice one. I really do enjoy shooting ferals from off the cow shed roof. Phil
  15. A very clever concept, Wildcat, Impact variation, Streamline. It will be interesting to see how this is sold and if they intend to sell a base unit plus whichever kit we fancy or perhaps a concept kit to change the rifle spec from the rifle purchased. No doubt it will all be released in due course. Phil
  16. Add 'air' to the list mate because I find there are a number of occasions when the Impact fac is just way better than the rimmy and the point is Jimmy, if you have it, you have it rather than applying for a variation later. My fac air is used a hell of a lot more than the rimmy and that is for sure PM inbound in a few mins mate. Phil
  17. My pal has just bought a Viper for his HW110 and loves it. I quite fancy something similar to sit on my Anschutz rimmy to add a bit of weight but going to try the Hawke Endurance 5-15x50, if not suited, I will deffo be looking for a Mamba or Viper. Phil
  18. ooooohh do tell more Jimmy, you are not going to the dark side are you mate..............................you can sit with me Phil
  19. It does vary from one police authority to another. In North Linc's the grant period they try to reach is 12 to 14 weeks but that is being reached with people waiting 6 months or more and was certainly the case for a friend of mine. Regarding o/u shotguns, your best solution is to save some more money whilst waiting for your SGC as £500 will not buy you much in terms of quality. The big three names to look for are Beretta, Browning and Miroku. Any of these will both out last you and out perform you so be rest assured they represent a sound purchase. If you have to stay with your budge
  20. I have to say Mark, those FWB serve you very well indeed mate. As a matter of interest, what weight is the 124 and 127. I am going to have to get another springer at some stage me thinks. Phil
  21. As you say Mitch, a very poor attempt to nick some of the Impact design but not very well and the stock straight from an AR gun...............................not nice. Phil
  22. Love the 97 stock Jimmy, really nice. Phil
  23. Ahhh fair enough Jimmy. Yes the FX Streamline is now resident in North Lincs after a flying visit up to Scarborough to see our Si which was nice to get together again mate. From Si, we went over to Pickering to visit a shop my wife likes and also to the RFD who has an offer on Hawke Endurance scopes with approx £100 off the price, well it would rude not to, don't you think so a 5 - 15 x 50 is ready to go on one of the guns but not sure yet as I may well do a shuffle round with the scopes after today's purchase. I must say the sound mod that Si has made is so effective and weigh
