I'll take that as a compliment FD thank you. You yourself had a really good year in the garden and I was some impressed with the amount of veg you severed up with your meals. Cheers Arry

  11. I stayed with some really nice blokes earlier in the year in North California,Humboldt,I would have considered moving there if circumstances were different, fantastic climate and country.
  12. I have a grandchild that will be born in the states next year,I am over here till next year,I have no interest in going genuine off grid,it’s too austere at this stage for me,I am retired and have the freedom I enjoy, maybe if I was younger then yes I was that sort, but life for me personally nowadays isn’t about sitting somewhere till I am in my box,I like being on the move,a rolling stone gathers no moss.
  13. Parasols Mushrooms GM good eating but don't keep very long. Lovely nutty taste mate. Make sure they are about 6 to9 inches across and have a stalk that has a snake skin look. Parasol WWW.WILDFOODUK.COM A great tasting, easy to identify mushroom that is large enough to spot from afar. Cheers Arry
  14. id love to do it mack ,go for it mate. I chat to few lads who live in Canada and states that live off grid and hunt, fish and grow

Its not weird mate its just a bunch of here that meet up for a good piss up, good grub, good craic, oh and a bit of fishing. Lots of laughs and raise some money for a good cause. On top of that you go away with more friend than you came with. Cheers Arry

I always wanted to go to the fishing comp , but thought it a bit wierd meeting strangers and saying what your user name is, just seem not right lol. But I know it done well for charity which is a great achievement. Only person I met a few times was magwitch the ferreting man and he was sound.

They are a really nice bunch of Lads that do the comp and I consider them my friends now since I first met them all. Theres still Ferreting but I fear thats slowly dying through lack of rabbits in some places and very few youngsters taking it up. Fishing is still strong I feel. Cheers Arry

I wouldn’t read too much into anything, if lads feel like saying something they will. If lads feel like posting something they will. There is still enough interesting conversation about a wide variety of subjects to keep a person entertained. You will piss people off sometimes and sometimes they will piss you off…..it’s no big deal. And, let not forget that as much as you can pick faults in all of it, a group of lads from this site have raised tens of thousands for charity over the years……if not for this site then that wouldn’t have happened. Hunting as we did is
  23. Well Wifey retired end of last year but thinks this week is are holiday ffs so been walking nearly every day. Another walk on the coast today. Thought I would put them up with little map so if any lads down here on holiday might like them. Park at Ringmore NT car park. The tidal road at Averton Gifford on the way, Wifey did not like it one bit Lol. View of Burgh Island with the sand causeway and sea tractor at high water. The Burgh Island hotel where Agatha Christie supposed to have written some of her books. Challaborough beach Paras
