Do you camp in you’re own mate

I am tonight yes but have a mate that I often camp with but he works random hours/days so we get out together when we can and just do solo camps the rest of the time..

To be honest a lot of the time when I’m out on my own I can just forget everything, feel no stress or pressure from anyone and just totally switch off but it’s good also having a bit company at times and getting a good launch and bit craic ?

Fair play to you mate..  i don't mind addmitting it but i think I'd struggle in these temps.

What do you wear in the bag Zandy when it's this cold? Just base layers? Just curious about it.. i read somewhere you've got to let your body heat escape into the bag for it to work properly. Also going for a brisk walk to generate some body heat before turning in can help with getting warm in the bag quicker. Makes sense i suppose!!...?

It’s definitely a little slice of heaven mate…

In the colder months i take a hip flask full of Southern Comfort & a can of lemonade to go with it and then in the warmer/hotter months it’s the beers…

Personally the thought of holding and drinking 3-4 cans of cold beers on camps is just a no no… You need something to warm you up.

To be fair with the correct appropriate gear then it’s all extremely comfortable and shouldn’t feel the cold really… You’d be all good.

It all depends if you’re a hot or cold sleeper, I used a 3 season bag last night paired with merino wool baselayer top and bottoms, Bridgdale socks and chucked a couple hand warmers in the bottom of the bag so not to get cold feet…

Yes, few star jumps/walk will heat the body up before getting in the bag as it’s your body that will generate the heat in the bag, also having a meal just before bed/sleeping will help your body generate heat…

A mummy style and more fitted sleeping bag will always be better and the more spacious the bag the more it has to heat up the wasted/empty space and can have cold spots…

The hilly earning it's keep, can't beat them. Have an Akto myself.

Absolutely mate, testing it out a little and making sure I get my moneys worth… Not the cheapest but far superior to so many.

Akto could be on the cards for the summer months ?

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
