If this is a habitual thing, same time every day sort of thing just wait with a bucket of water and douse the beagle from your bedroom window before it does its stuff. A couple of dousings will do the trick but not until you have collected enough dog-doo to fill a Jiffy bag as per Greyman's suggestion.

Why don't you speak to the neighbour,they may realise that they can't cope with the dog and look to re-home or get rid. No need to report to the council etc the neighbour may be struggling with life and not able to cope with the dog.

Dogs sniff before they piss round bushes I have found and when they sniff that they leave the place alone mate.

If you can catch it doing it, put the garden hose on it. They soon get the msg.  Woman next door moved in with a terrier which used to go spastic at the garden fence when I  was in my garden.  A couple of small squirts from the hose cut this problem straight away. The blighter still forms up but suddenly has a change of mind and slopes off round the corner, peering round the corner at me.

Another method is to leave a decent piles of rabbit guts out there. They (cats included) have a good pig out and go back home a yak it up back there. Preferably on the front room carpet. It's good for kwis pakams front hedge also blow flies love it.

Collect the dog shit up put in a ball of newspaper place it on their door step set fire to it ring the door bell and run. We used to do this as kids.

They will answer the door and stamp the fire out.

I spoke with the neighbour she says she will not get rid of the dog, and in the next breath she said that she wishes it would just die or she will kill it. I am going to speak to the local animal shelter, and authorities, to see what can be done. She kicks it and has been seen by neighbors to use a an electric device that can cause pain in a dog. She has been a nasty piece of work in all parts of her life since I first me her 38 years ago.

She once said that she looked for mental health advice after her first marriage ended, and after a long period of therapy that did not help, the therapist who was at her wit's end with her,  told her that the answer was "She was a miserable bitch to please", and that no one could ever help her because that was who she was, and she would never change. She never has, and never will. Husband two, and three, were short marriages, and doomed from the words "I do/I will" from what I know.

Thank you for all of the replies. I am going to give a few of them a go and see what comes about.  I appreciate all the advice, and will let you know how they all work.
