I think people need to check their hysteria levels and have a bit of faith. Theres been a lot of disaster porn recently and it seems lots of people are praying for a bit of unrest. It could be a good thing as it might make people value real things more, like growing some of their own food and looking after their and their families health. This can definitely be controlled with these measures but it will take a couple weeks to see the effect due to the incubation period and a vaccine is probably already well on the way in multiple countries ready for testing.

It has taken years to develop vaccines and although many are working 24 7 on a vaccine they still reco at least a year or more.  They are learning how this works to treat people to help their immune system but a true vaccine ain't around the corner.  Still the human population is due for a cull.!

I can only assume that they don’t know how seriously it will effect different people and they are trying to keep as much capacity in the health services as possible.....hence, stay out the way and try not to even get it.

It’s going to be a time for the whole world to re-evaluate what matters, all the things we thought were really important we will realise mean nothing.

Its been coming.......and here it is.

i think maybe western society may think that way but east of suez  they just wont change ..

Well listening to Boris today and then Leo tonight in his broadcast to the country all I can assume is, this is not a f***ing drill boys.......if anyone is batting this off like a 4 week storm in a teacup then you had better think again imho

We are in this for the long haul and it’s going to get darker and deeper than anything we ever imagined.

Thats not being a fanny, just how I honestly see it.

Would it make you happier if I agreed? LOL. The measures we're going to as a society to combat this are unprecedented. But it ain't leaving a noticeable dent in the population, it ain't nature wiping us out or the end of society. I'm still far more concerned for the economy than lives.

Let's be grounded, this new strategy has no objective other than hope it goes away or a vaccine is developed so yes, life is going to change for a while and it will have to change even more if folks aren't  making an effort. Words like dark and deep and serious cunjur up thoughts of people dying all around me and pain akin to something out the movies. Imo in the next 50 yrs were going to have some serious shit to deal with and how we've responded to this crisis hasn't left me reassured.

This will be remembered for the rest of our lives because of the measures we went to to prevent tragedy, not because it became a tragedy (Obviously for those that do lose a loved one it'll feel like a tragedy).

I'm not convinced  lockdown is going to work at this stage....we either push through and grow herd immunity or we get a vaccine. ..I hope its the latter because the first has a heavy price attached

If they go about it randomly like they were. I dunno what the threshold is but if it's low enough I would be up for voluntary infection of low risk people (I assume I'm very low risk). Once the threshold is hit reintegrate the high risk individuals back into society.

Too risky? Impossible without compromising human rights?

I don't think China are being honest ....lol

I thought the same re all the countries. Gotta be careful with the numbers mate. They're only the confirmed numbers. Heaps of mild cases going unconfirmed. The studies are literally being published weekly, but a recent one estimated only 14% diagnosis rate in China due to that. Death numbers are far more likely to be accurate. It was estimated that 55000 cases in the UK. Potentially very low fatality rate, only really significant because it's new and ripping through us fast.

Herd mentality is going to be reached far sooner than herd immunity at this rate!

Many supply chains & shops will remain open. Don’t think we will be eating rats just yet! ?

For a bit yeah till we’re put on lock down How does food get to shops if people are in isolation and how do shops operate if people/staff are in isolation maybe food wagons delivering ?standard delivery wagons will be jacked Before they hit the drop off points by desperate people as cash will be king before the poor are sorted out the poor man will resort to any means possible to feed his family survival of the fittest

Here’s a straight question

if the shit actually hits the fan who knows if it will

what lengths are you willing to go to with no bull shit no lies? Straight question

if I was desperate an I know someone is stock piling food I’m taking it there getting jacked any were with food there getting jacked hunger an desperation has no care for feelings or consequences my goal would be survival an to look after my family if that means hurting people that stop me doing so then so be it I’ve 3 dogs here as well the retired one will be nocked over the Head first for meat if needs must I don’t care for any one else or there feelings
