Any of you lot see the post Trump put up yesterday I think it was....it was one crazy post....Tuesday will be bridge and power plant day...as there will be smashed to bits...open the straights you crazy b*****ds praise be to Allah....

If some one can copy and paste it....proper bad ass...

Much as I like Trump , he’s starting to sound like a megalomaniac dictator with his social media and televised pronouncements.

In the same day he will announce he is speaking to the regime and a deal is near, then a few hours later he is saying he will bomb them into the Stone Age if they don’t open the Strait of Homuz, then back to saying the war is won but threatening to blow up all the bridges and power plants.

How many “48 hour” deadlines has he gave them now ?

Maybe he is trying to confuse them 😂👍

Cheers.

He’s trapped himself on the escalatory ladder now and imo is showing his lack of experience. Up until this Iran war I thought his foreign policy was pretty much bang on in a way that former presidents had not managed.

He’s played this terribly imo. And the consequences could be very severe and long lasting for the US and consequently the western world.

What an absolute disaster.

He’s completely out of his depth now. I genuinely wonder if the job has taken a toll on his mind, which would be completely understandable for a man of his age. For a president that was playing quite tactically on the international stage he has just gone completely off the rails with this. Childish levels of strategy imo.

Part of what I think is confusing so many people on this, including the administration at large, is that tactical victories do not equal strategic success. We’re seeing this in Iran, the US has demonstrated an onslaught of tactical masterpieces and yet the strategic outcome is looking far worse than the day before they engaged in bombing the shit out of them.

Contrary to supporting the up rising it’s probably caused them to rally around the flag against the US.

But then the entire country will go into the next election and vote for more of the same state welfare and other handouts that require the massive amounts of tax in the first place.

I read today that for the first time in the UK welfare spending has exceeded taxation.

If you open the list on this link. It shows that our welfare spending is at a very low level. Second bottom in fact, with the USA at the very bottom. No surprise there.

We do not spend anywhere near the level of the nordic countries, France, Germany or Spain.

What else is a government for but to provide for its citizens? Much more needs to be spent on health, children, the elderly and defence.

During Covid , many  infected people attended work because with state sick pay at less than £ 100 per week, they could not afford to take time off. It's estimated that many people  were needlessly infected and subsequently died, simply because sick pay was derisory. In many more civilised countries, sick pay and unemployment pay can be up to 90% payable for up to a year.

Public services in this country are starved of resources.  Our roads,  hospitals, dental provision and education are a national disgrace.

More welfare and public spending? Yes!

But then I'm a Marxist, Leninist, left wing , secret green, secretNew Labour supporter and socialist.lol But maybe, just maybe, I write some common sense.

Let's make the UK great again!

Spend more money on our welfare!

We’re 18th out of over 200 countries! That’s not “very low” imo.

The problem we have in this country is regulation. We’ve got huge industries built around our national fear of some c**t stubbing their toe on a non compliant traffic cone etc. we’ve created so much waste out of fear that we now have no money or the bureaucratic freedom to do anything constructive about it.

We could spend more but we need to get over this paralysing fear that makes us turn a 10k job into a 500k “programme”.
