  1. That's lovely mate, can't wait to see a first blood pic with that. You should put flat latex and a brown pouch on that, would look well rustic
  2. Love perch. Especially big battered bruisers that terrorize the local fry shoals! A 3lb perch is a very special fish, well done mate. Had a few 3's but never a 4. Can't begin to imagine what a 5 would be like!
  3. I would have put mid priced scopes from 100 to 200, but I guess it's a bit misleading. Maybe mid-range would be a better term. Take the Hawke sport hd range for example. The range has the same glass, rets and tubes, but you go for low mag and less features you can spend £30. Big mags, Illuminated reticles and big adjustable objectives you can pay over £100, but I'd still class it as a budget scope (no disrespect I actually think they are very good for the money) Mid range for me would be mtc, top end Hawke stuff low end Bushnell/nikon. Horses for courses though!
  4. I'm really impressed with the mtc genesis UL. For me, it's features are everything I need and no more. Think I'm going to put up a bit of a review on it.
  5. Good choice pal. I reckon a vmach kit will sort it out if it's not cock on
  6. I used to have a 400 pal. Nice bit of gear, works well. Not had or used any other rf's to compare though, not really my thing tbh
  7. I don't think it's stocked mate, but I could be wrong.
  8. Cracker that. Blueing looks lovely top job, I barely believe it's the same rifle! Do you have to shorten the stroke on an ? As I've heard there really designed for FAC power
  9. Well no idea why you blanked I would eat that! Looked like a nice day to be out though you can't beat sand and sea breeze
  10. More like 23 for a delrin spring guide top hat and power washers? Would have liked to have seen a better finish on them, I don't think that is asking a lot to be honest. 11.3 when I bought it, will hopefully be borrowing/buying one for Monday night to test her on The short stroke kit was supplied with what looked like a good seal though, nick informed me it was a weihrauch one
  11. Just low on my exacts, forget free mate I'll give you a fiver if ya post!
  12. Well folks, fitted the short stroke kit tonight. This gun already has a v-mach kit fitted. Removed the stock, placed tension down onto the trigger unit and unscrewed the bolt. There was noticeably little preload. There was a fair bit of grease in there though, so I had a good clean up. I tried fitting the TbT drop in kit, but the delrin spring guide refused to fit, full stop. In the instructions it states that if you put the tophat and spring guide in the piston the spring guide should fit flush to the piston skirt. But the TbT kit was standing well proud, probably 15mm a
  13. That's a cheeky wee knife, well named and priced. Good luck with the sale
  14. Near Ilkley mate. Lovely bit of river, mayfly are coming off at the minute so I think the next couple of weeks should be good for the dry fly
  15. Well the waders are on order and the weather was grim. I finished work at 6 and planned to be down the range for 7.30, so I thought I'd swap the fly gear (even though I patiently sat in front of the telly tying a dozen dries last night!) for the spinning gear. Got down to the river and set the rod up with a small spinner. Dropped two in two casts! Gutted, turns out the spinner had naff hook points so I switched up to another small spinner with decent sharp hooks on this time! Ended up with a tally of 5 landed 3 dropped. These two were the best of the bunch, the bottom fish is now in
  16. Got to admit I'm really looking forward to seeing what change it will make! I did try the RS, express and RWS match pistol pellets. The RS and express were good, nothing like the standard exact though. Although all were 4.52's the RS and express were definitely slacker in the barrel. The 4.50 RWS were even tighter, and went all over the place, made a horrible noise too! So I'm sticking with the 4.52 exact.
  17. Uh. Bummer. Guess they didn't think that bit through!
  18. Ey up folks I fancied having a tinker with the prosport, she's currently got a vmach kit fitted and she's shooting well but a little hold sensitive and twangy so I have purchased a short stroke kit from tinbum. I have tea some good reviews about these as apparently the swept volume on the prosport is a little bigger than ideal (apparently hw77's and 97's are spot on) so these balance them out well. Time will tell! Will keep this thread updated with pics as I go, and post said results. I'm down the range tonight testing jsb RS and express against the std exact so will post those resu
  19. Pah. I won't jonnie. We're getting on ok. To be honest, getting used to it has took me ages and plenty of coins on pellets. It really is a f****r to tease into some tight ass groups, but when we gel, its damn near perfect for me. The only gripe I have with it and it's a major balls up by Theoben, is the theoben mounting system. The cheek piece is high, which I like, the wood is good, real smooth and that. The pistol grip is a joy. My god the trigger is one of the best, if not thee best I've used, seriously. There's like 3 stages to it, real crisp and sure. It is the most hold sensitive rifle
  20. Do you get many hounds at hull? Hoping for my first on the west on the fylde. Few sharks showing on the AA forum
  21. Well done that man, how are you getting used to that gas ram? Will you be selling the springers anytime soon
  22. Good shootin. I'm happy with flats for now but wouldn't mind trying this stuff at some point
  23. 25yds for me. Easy to zero at the range, no holdunder needed for.177, minimal for.22 I imagine.
