    Most on here know I'm tight about letting the kids sit in playing video games or staring at the tv ... the kids call me for it now but they'll thank me later I reckon. Most days the tv isn't on at all - that's saying something during the summer holidays. Himself has been teaching them to swim in rivers, we've been on a holiday in the Lakes (no tv whatsoever), bike rides on the canal, killing rats, walking for miles, hiding in hedgerows watching deer in the evening sun ... cheap and cheerful good times; what more can a kid want Life is fair good at the moment

    ... when my kids go back to school in September and get asked 'what did you do on your holidays?' Yesterday we did this: The kids actually argued over who got to carry the bucket of dead rats We mostly just went for a wander on the permission tho, which makes for a much better day than hanging around on the street or in the park across the road

    I won a holiday for a week at a five star caravan, so chose a site in the Lakes and off we set with the sprogs for some fun. First time I've been up there ... and what can I say, I'm in love with the place Saw plenty of game, beautiful scenery, lovely shops. By far one of the best holidays I've had. Can't wait to go back.

    My first corporate job was in an office of women I was so naive, thinking what a great learning experience it would be, all these career women there to guide me, and never a shortage of plasters or aspirin considering the amount of handbags there would be floating about How wrong I was! What a nightmare - cuthroat, competitive, bitchy, backstabbing load of horrible, gossiping cows. Worst job ever. I've always had a good circle of girlfriends tho - some going back almost 30 years.
