    More than anything , this was just a test. This heater is from my wife's workshop . It's 8kw, and it's probably four or five years old . I bought her a new one for her workshop ( only £79.00), and I had this one to play around with . Now that I've tested it , I know that I'll only need a single 110ah battery, and a cheap 100w solar panel , to give me all the electricity/heating that I'll need. Once this heater gives up the ghost . I'll probably replace it with a cheap 2kw heater .

    I'm not honestly sure Walt. I know that they'll run on kerosene. I'll most probably run it on red diesel . On a low setting I think they use about 0.1l per hour , so cost isn't really an issue .

    Quick update. Who's f***ing stupid idea was it to put a diesel heater in a tiny caravan?. I'm sitting here in my pants with all the windows open . Got my hands on a diesel heater yesterday . It only took half an hour to fit , and works extremely well . It appears to use very little battery power and diesel , and although it's a bit too warm on its lowest setting at the moment, I reckon it'll be perfect when the winter temperatures arrive. Thankyou for all the advice gents .

    To be honest mack , I reckon I could cope with living in the middle of nowhere, but I don't think my mrs would be too happy. On the other hand , I'd put off buying woodland for a few years , because I didn't think she'd like it ,but she loves it even more than I do.

    I can honestly say , it's been the very best car I've ever had . It just ticks all the boxes for me . I keep waiting for it to give up the ghost ( its done 180,000 ish), but it just keeps going. I'm really hoping that I can replace it with another one when it's gone.
