  1. We're a poor imitation of our forefathers, folk have problems jumping out their bed now.
  2. As said I don't condone his method, but I still would say the dog wasn't fazed in the slightest. There will be a lot of dogs out there ruined by heavy handling. I wonder how many dogs though have ended up in pounds up and down the country or even worse pts through not being leaned on so to speak. All dogs are different, a stern word or growl might be adequate in most cases but I personally know of dogs which would have been liabilities if a harder hand hadn't been administered.
  3. Wouldn't pick any dog up by the ears. Most people commenting seem to be lurchermen, a spaniel is a different proposition from most running dogs. Did the dog look distressed, ?, no. That treatment whilst I do not condone it is nothing to what will be going on in kennels around the country.Top kennels at that. Many Ftch and Ftw will have had similar training methods. Anyone who can watch that clip and say the dog won't make the grade, I bow to your knowledge of all things canine.
  4. Well Fireman, maybe hero isn't the right word but why bother to post negatively?. The lad did more good than the majority of us on here will do combined. He also died with dignity and courage with no self pity and cries of why me. I wonder how many can honestly say they would conduct themselves the same in the same situation. RIP Stephen.

All the best for tomorrow Dymented, don't let the bstards grind you down,
  6. Perhaps if the party of the working man labour (my arse) hadn't allowed the worlds dross to travel here and abuse the NHS then there might possibly not be so long a waiting time. No ones saying UKIP as a party are perfect, but dear Christ, why would anyone ever vote for that shower of shite again and the sad thing is, people will.
  7. I'll tell you what JLR, you've no room to knock anyones attitude, your own is appalling.
  8. I'm sure if they'd spent a bit more time looking they'd have found a paki shop, they feckers are everywhere.
  9. Not for one minute do I condone what Clifford did, but it got me thinking, what is the lowest age of consent in a country and perhaps more importantly what is the lowest age of consent in an eu country, who knows without googling it.
  10. Ok Northernlite, not all then, but the folk that inject heroin and aren't actual junkies will be few and far between.
  11. Not everyone who drinks is an alcoholic. But I sure as feck think anyone who sticks a needle in a vein is a junkie.
  12. @ tiercel, your reckoning is if you smoke tobacco or have a few jars you can't hold the moral high ground and judge others on different drugs?. If you can't differentiate between someone having a few pints and someone shooting up then we are buggered.
  13. True, but one of the reasons we're fcuked is that no one takes responsibility for their own actions/fcukups/demise. Nowadays everyones a victim. Never their fault.
  14. That explains some of your posts then.

That is an absolute fecking disgrace. Dymented, sorry for your loss and the predicament of your other dogs. I'll say this, it takes a lot to shock me and that post and those pictures did, if they shocked me they will repulse a great section of the public which I'm sad to say might be an upside (if that's the right word) to this whole tragedy. I don't know the financial aspects here, legal aid etc but if you're fighting this out your own pocket then I will happily put my hand in my pocket and contribute towards the bill. Take it all the way mate.
  16. I had a goldie the same, more nervous of the actual gun than the bang, doesn't phase him now. take your time, more familiar surroundings and as has been said air rifle about her for a while, whilst you're holding the rifle have someone crack party poppers off and when she's relaxed about them onto a starting pistol and again when relaxed the actual shotgun .
  17. Cannabalism, solve the food shortage and overpopulation in no time.
  18. Yes, we are. You either believe in capital punishment or don't.

The older I get the easier I get pissed off at situations like these. The majority of people in elected positions are not fit for purpose, look at the benches in parliament and the lords, out of touch, full of their own importance twats who ride roughshod over the opinions of the population thinking they know better. Then when they fcuk up they think an apology suffices. Look at labours open door policy, most now concede it was wrong, but wait, we apologised. You apologise for farting in company or bumping into someone not for buggering a country up. This whole sleazy establishment we call
  20. Anyone having a dog in that state needs a good seeing to. One thing puzzles me though, who fed it for fifteen years?, or has he just acquired the dog in the last couple of years which would seem unlikely given it's age.
  21. Never shot a hare in my life, can't see it happening anytime in the future. As someone who liked to see a good course it does stick in your craw when you read the article. Then you sit down and think about it, firstly the fat shooters mentioned like it or not have probably contributed more to the rural economy than the majority of people on here who are decrying them. If they're willing to pay to shoot hares, then there will always be hares to shoot. A few pages back someone mentioned overshooting and wiping next years stock out, well the fact that large numbers are shot each ongoing season
