What transmitter are you using for her? Marshall micro? How you mounting? Are you flying her to the lure or the fist primarily?

Well good luck with her, she looks like a lot of fun......I was talking to guy with an imprint pair a few years ago, he told me he had to be careful when weathering, before flying, because they would eat earth worms & put them over weight! Lol I know a lad here with a breeding pair, so it's something I might consider in the future.....

I only make jesses, I have made anklets, but I'm more than happy to buy in.....I don't feel bad about it, but I can understand why people do feel its an important part of hunting with a hawk.... But for me, falconry is only ever been about hunting with a hawk, I'm not too fussed about some of the other aspects of it.....I can't even stand falconry displays, they bore me to tears..... I just like being out in the field & if buying in stuff makes my life easier, then that's fine by me... You could say telemetry is some what cheating, because it cuts out a hell of a lot of field craft.....

Whisky was my drink for many years, I found I could keep my head better on it, on a long night.....well most of the time ;-) Just for holidays now......I'll get a bottle of Jameson's or Chivas Regal for the apartment, finish it by the end of the holiday & forget about it for another year.......

I can't do American series that last a life time........but 2 one-off series I've seen in the last year are...The Straits & The Slap....there a couple of years old....but far better than a lot of the US pulp....

Yeh that's what I did, I never bothered with a tail bell......to be honest I never lost a deck either, although I know a few who have...... I tried the back-pack & really liked it, if you get it on right, it can stay on for several seasons.......but the last one I did, not so successful, come off after 2 months.....so switched to leg mount & that was fine.... Back-packs worth having a crack at one day though.......I'd try it again...

Crimping is the way to go, then in worst case scenario you only lose one deck! Lol Have you tried a back-pack or leg mount? Just my preference, I grew to dislike anything on the tail....
