    Cocaine has got a lot to do with that mate, how common was it when you was 18? Today it's part & parcel of a night out for many, easily got & much cheaper.......it's changed the face of the British high street in the last 20 years & red bull/vodka lol You're right about drinking more before you go out, but I think that's a shift in culture & an attitude to what constitutes a good night out, most of the cocaine will be consumed during this time at home as well.......& by the time that mix hits the high street.....well you know the rest....     Me too... This really has been an education for me, my first computer was an iPhone! I haven't heard of any of these other sites & only recently twigged what 'bump' meant lol..... But in last year I have made a couple of good friends from this site & as a direct result should be doing a fair bit of digging in Europe this season....which Im very grateful for :-)......maybe life does begin at 40!

    Not sure about that max, my old man used to have the most horrendous hangovers.......2 day affairs, laid up in bed, even a doctor out on a few occasions lol....this was 30+ years ago. Me on the other hand, I've barely had many at all....I just don't really get them, regardless of what I drink or the combination of drugs I've took with drink.....some people are just fcuking light weights mate lol....yeh blaming chemicals, that's a good one lol Drinking is just shite for you full stop imo, cause's all kinds of problems, health wise & socially.....you been on the high street lately on a satu

    Good for you. Do you think some people are more pre-disposed to addiction than others? There's definitely something in a person's physicality that makes them more likely to become 'addicted'...,or do you just see at as 'weakness'. Maybe it's the same thing? I think it can be hereditary.....the guy I mentioned earlier in the thread, his 2 brothers & sister were all addicts & their father before them......one of the brothers drank himself to death whilst living 2 doors down from me, he was only 53! This wasn't some deprived family who had a bad start in life, it's just inside them...

I have that gene, it's about self control and recognising that you have the ability to become a fucktard with the booze or anything else really Spot on mush.....I'm the same, but it's about simple choices & keeping your weaknesses in check, no ones holding a gun to your head.....& certainly I wouldn't expect sympathy & endless chances from every other fcuker!

    Too true.....I've seen it first hand, one of my best mates has a family of alcoholics.......his dad was shitting himself in the street, breaking into the neighbours for money, attacking family members......8 years clean now & managing director of a successful business......it can be done, but he did it himself.....not the rest of the world...at the moment he just a drunk with a few quid, at one time he entertain a nation, if he had a job an got a bit the limelight again an was helping a few kids along the way wouldn't you watch him on tv Be good to see him well again...

    I don't see how he's been knocked down.....there are plenty from his generation of footballers who are doing just fine.....I don't think anyone forced him to beat the shit out of wife & then spend the next 20 years in the pub..... Just a sad waste of life....
