    Good old patterdale lol. Stopped there ( 6 of us ) on a motorbike run for some food and went to a pub up past some houses on a hill. Walked in and it was so dark we could hardly see the bar ! Seen the chalk board and it said 'SOUP', so I approached the bar, 3 people I will assume were local, staring like feck at us and asked the bar woman what the soup was. Her reply " Warm, and if you want the sausages there are no vegetables left but I'll get someone to run to the shop for potatoes, can't do fairer than that ". Mmm let me think, NO THANKS. Defo a deliverance moment LOL. Nice pics by

The fair is run as an all round event and as stated above, the terrier and lurcher show is part of the event and the Kelvin valley club are happy to be running the T&L shows. In my mind this is a great opportunity to show the general public that yes , the people of the terrier and lurcher world do look after their dogs and are proud of them to.     Lurchers and Terriers both days. I think there is also a digging competition both days. There is terrier racing in the main ring on the Sunday to finish the fair off, not exactly sure if there is lurcher and terrier racing on the Saturday. I'm pretty sure a post regarding the show will be up here by Monday/Tuesday giving full details.

    I have a bitch here, 5 years old and feet like a sea lion and they have NEVER bothered her. She is a fast bitch and has caught plenty in her time, mother was a half cross bull grey, sire 5/8 3/8 bull grey and both had decent feet. When I got her at 14 weeks she was a thin mess, I only kept her out of pity. She only made 23" and is more like a grey x whippet but has speed and plenty guts. Only thing I won't do with her is breed with her, there is enough rubbish out there without potentially adding to it. Time will tell you tho after a good season, good luck.

    This was a good show yesterday. Great venue with the large clubhouse, plenty food, drink etc. The members of the Percy hunt couldn't have been any nicer and always on hand to help out. Some good looking terriers and lurchers and I thought the judging was very good and consistent .
