What he done was as bad as you can do to an opponent in ANY sport. Rugby is a very physical game and yes, a lot goes on, unseen and un punished. Sadly, football is becoming a non contact sport full of prima donnas. What about the lazer being shawn on the Russian keeper tonight, did it hamper him and cost his team dearly ?

This beggars belief. What proof do they need that wasn't picked up by the TV cameras alongside the bite mark on the Italians shoulder ? If the ref. had seen it happen, would he have seen more than the cameras had seen ? It will be interesting to see if TV evidence is used during the world cup, who it will be used against !!!

It's funny how at under 21 and even more so at youth level Scotland and England compete at the highest level and always show a good account of themselves. Two or three years on most of these players dissapear into the back ground, I don't need to explain why. My cousin signed for Rangers when he was 16, banged in goals for the reserves on a regular basis. Played for Scotland in the youth world cup, played in every game until the final and was dropped, why ? because the coaches pet got the nod for the final. They were a very good side and hardly any of them got a chance at the big time.

What most can't stand are the TV pundits, reporters, media etc that think the England team have the god given right to be the best and keep putting them on a pedestal. As was said British footballers are sooooo far behind. Bring back the 3 foreigner rule, oh wait, we can't, cos then the money won't pour in for the clubs to feed off.
