Bsa Ultra Se Multi .22 Help
mark williams replied to Michael Hayton's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Sounds like "crossover" Mike, any windage involved, are you indoors or outdoors with the scope zero. At short range do your pellets strike one side of the target and then at longer range strike the other side of the target ? Scope cant might well be in the mix also -
Cash is my intentions, .22 air rifles, i carry just one and that is staying. atb anyway
-
At those ranges you`ll need an extra massive scope Shooting by the way
-
Great idea BC Freeze them as they are (if you can get away with it ) and on the next session put them onto cradles and watch the drawing in power of that method . atb
-
If that calibre gets you down Andy any chance of first refusals ?
-
Is the 97 tuned Andy ? If so, by who ?
-
As said wait for the first frosts on the sloes, just listening to the dying fermentation of 10 gallons of elderflower wine. Bramble/ elderberries next.
-
Hi Andy, good question My humble opinion is get down to the ranges firstly (as said above) spend some time with her, then go hunting. Your results will be much better and the "bond" much stronger than if you go the other way round, ie hunting and missing first, then go to the range to sort out why, - not good . "Perfect practice makes perfect" atb

Hi Mac remember the other week when i took the new AA tx 200 out and had a nice session on the cradle decoys, then the farm yard 4 wood pigeons and now the Magpie ? Remember the HW 100 tales ? If you get a "good session or two " under your belt mate it will stay with you a long, long time - they call it "confidence". Stick with your 100`s Mac,Vis, there`s nothing better out there. (except in .177 Mac ) atb

40 cloves of garlic ! I`d struggle to talk to you over the telephone after that . Must say though "Sounds bloody good" ! atb

The Air Arms Tx 200 Mk 3 Hc .177 Cal Is Outstanding.

Well put Random so here goes,Warts an` all .(condensed) For ease and walk out and go shooting the T Rex is very easy to pick up and go. Accuracy wise i am really enjoying the TX also, - every bit as accurate as any pcp , 100`s included ! Now then "field craft" - sit in a hide waiting for the expected time of arrival, or decoys out, dead birds on cradles to dead rabbit and entrails. A huge carrion crow flights in to the baits, lands and he "LOOKS AND LISTENS intensely for a pin to fall. The T Rex replies "un- clipppp, strain, click, click, click, "already l -
Which one has the best penetration do you think
-
Well done , now part ex` it for a proper gun.

Cammo Hw100 Stock
mark williams replied to big napper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Why do this to your stock, cant you build a hide ? -
Had a one shot opportunity mooch tonight with my T Rex. A Magpie presented a neck only shot at 35 "ish" yards through woodland/ spindle branches, and i took the shot. using AA .177 fields. The Magpie just crumpled, so accurate these rifles for springers, - right up there with my 100`s. Bandit is now frozen ready for decoying off a cradle.
-
Yeah Mac is right ! "No HONESTLY" - .22 is best for shooting rabbits or "owt else" that has already been shot with the deadly .177 HW 100 kt atb P.S Rez, - mmmmm ! calibre - "cork" or .177 - devastating out to 12 inches on bog roll, - un- used of coarse ! £800 should get you a good quality GAT with a walnut handle, - any gunsmith in Liverpool supplies these weapons at that price to anyone unsure mate, - promise you ! a

Try this lads,- Up - Market Rabbit Stew. One Rabbit ( head shot with a HW 100 kt .177) using AA fields 8.4 grain mind you Dredge rabbit pieces in seasoned flour and fry until lightly browned. Then remove and set aside. Fry "gently" one or two rashers of chopped streaky bacon, and one large chopped onion until the onion is translucent but not coloured, then add two chopped carrots and two/ three sticks of chopped celery. Add rabbit pieces, cook for a few minutes, then add a good glug of sherry (medium),chicken stock (from cubes) to your desire

Your in for a pleasant "eye opener Mac" the T Rex mk 3 of mine in ,177 using AA fields is out of my cabinet as much as my HW 100 kt these days - she is knocking everything over, incredible springer By the way VM - proper shooting mate , with a proper rifle . Those Express are getting more and more attractive.
-
Shooting Dave . Your lawn needs feeding "but" - a "proper rifle and calibre" --- eh Mac
-

The only thing that was considered by all parties involved with this evil act was $$$$ money and very false "bragging rights". If i was in power none of these criminals would walk away from this for a long time and be banned from any type of involvement whatsoever with any country sports for life. The first part of this rich idiot`s punishment should be an American crossbow bolt up his arse and then let him walk and hobble about in 130 deg` for 40 odd hours.
