If Daystate seriously employs Weihrauch`s approach to the air gun industry then "we would be talking serious business"and sales Until then Daystate will always be "Following Others"- simple.

That Crow Killed One Of My Young Christmas Turkeys !
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in Airgun Hunting
Well i`m old school Random but saying that - "it works" ! You won`t see another corvid any where near that barn, now, with that sod hanging there. -

Proper shooting - well done lads.

Just got in with a big satisfied smile on my face . My farmer mate asked me could i try and get a very elusive large crow that is frightening the new, very young Turkeys stupid. Apparently, when scared, young turkeys will huddle up in a corner so much so that it is quite common for one or more to be suffocated and this happened yesterday morning. This large corvid was seen to land on the roof of the small barn, peer in through the roof vents above the turkey pen and drive them wild with its cawing. I threw a double helping of camo netting over a n

Your getting mixed up Chris, Mac is not wearing the red cap ! -
To be honest Mac/ Lads i wouldn`t bother too much over a shotgun. I`ve owned shotguns for over 35 years but "always" prefer to use airguns,- much more skill and field craft involved . Out in the field with the shotgun and "BOOM" !!! - the fields go empty. With the air rifle, nobody knows you are there, silently waiting , but saying that shotguns certainly have their uses.

Beginners Or Professional Always Go Pcp

You haven`t mentioned the springer`s make yet ? -
Hi Ross, The lads on here know their stuff, all that`s been said is good advice . Main things to pick up on, - your budget, BSA Ultra, Springers namely HW 97`s, AA Pro Sport and the AA TX 200 HC. I would go springer if i were you, to restart your interest and "hone" your marksmanship. Then pcp afterwards. I would lean towards any of the HW`s or Air Arms springers, whichever suits you best. Good luck with your choice

Mitch, the rabbits,- in your photo, can i have them back now ?

Took him out again, for a long one, this morning and he flushed three consecutive coveys of partridges on the long lead. The first covey i peeped, he sat immediately, and watched them fly(loads of praise). The next covey he sat first i peeped second and again the third.(A tad of steadiness already and loads of praise). The Higgins method looks very interesting Casso

Thank you lads. Yes Casso, Darren i understand. I purchased both of the Tom Brechney training videos for HPR a while back and have managed some good results up to now. What i did notice was that Tom Brechney`s bitch is a lot older than my 15 month(just turned) giddy pup. That bitch has bigger tits than a page 3 model., obviously had a litter or two, so, - much more mature and ready trained, to film with. Yes the videos explain very well, the use and how to side of the pigeon trap but not how to catch pigeons in the market square . I`m not trying to

Put Air Arms Fields through her and you can shoot the knackers off a midgey to 40 plus yards and load with ease. Good luck with your choice

Very pleased with my brand new, shiney, T Rex 200 hc (.177 of coarse ). Extremely accurate and rock solid off shooting sticks i wouldn`t hesitate in recommending this rifle for hide shooting . She took 20 wood pigeons and one large corvid on her first 3 hr session. Check one out DF. P.S ditto to Rez`s post (weight)
