I was recently drooling over the rabbit population in Annan, Scotland on one of my camping trips, I asked about shooting and was asked do i have an English shotgun certificate of which i do. I was told in that case i can shoot a sub/12 ft lb air rifle in Scotland with the land owners permission. Is this correct lads please ?

Great post Timmy, Bound to make things clear for everyone

From 9 to 25 yrs old we all used to shoot on the huge open tip and very large lake. I`ve never forgot that summer of 1976,- we were taking turns shooting a massive oak sitty tree, me with my deadly .22 mercury (or so i used to think), Big Bird with his Diana G , and Garf` with his brand new .22 Mercury. All afternoon potting starlings as they were vermin then. On Garf`s turn an enormous carrion crow landed ( fathered a ter, terow, terry, - fecking flying dinosaur ) and he went and missed ! from 15 yards ! Poor lad spent many a ruined night in the village pub f

On The News Today About Firearms In The Uk
mark williams replied to VWman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Calm down guys or this great topic/ debate might get binned but while it lasts, brilliant, truthful points atb P.S i have been in business over 31 long years and still have not had an enquiry from the Asian community, - " great intergration eh ?" NOT that i would work for them though -
Personally. i would take the rifle to my permissions or ranges to practice and zero even. Stay careful and safe Jonnie, (i have poor neighbours) atb. I

Great video Rez . Thank you for the "split second recognition" by the way That building equipment was the adjustable foot (for height) from scaffolding, - a "working man`s equipment". Ditto to Mac, loved your target holding fork idea. Now i know how young you are i`ll `a`v you over my knee and smack your arse next time Great stuff Rez, well done

In a word - Superb !

Shooting 88 " with a proper gun and calibre too" atb

Touch wood, i`ve never had any problem obtaining .177 cal rifles of my choice at my local gunsmiths, saying that though he is a very busy shop. Good luck VM

Did he beat you ? "You can tell us Rez" just say it slowly.

Hi Gaoler, I can`t speak for Daystate to shoot as i have never owned one nor want to, a lot of my mates at the ranges hate the constant breakdowns and hiccups. When you send them in for repair a gun takes an eternity to be returned. HW 100, i own two in either calibre, - the .22 ks is hardly used and the .177 kt i find to be lethal on small game/ vermin and constantly used. To just nip in on springers, my AA T Rex HC .177 is right up there with my HW 100 kt and taking as big a bag decoying pigeon but if taken out on corvids the 100 is streets ahead (no cocking or cockin

Err Mr Moxy i`m trying to learn how to put gun porn on here , honest, but i`m not receiving any lessons you see. Those three sons of mine When i do learn, in 8 yrs time, maybe, you`ll be the first to see the Magpie i shot last week.

Eh ? So that camera has taken 8 yrs worth of photos with 28/02/07 on `em ? Or not used for 8 yrs and that`s the resulting photo ? I rest my case M` Lord.

Asked my gunsmith this question, his reply was as above, when the gun arrives , clean that barrel thoroughly. As long as the rifle is perfectly accurate, with your chosen pellet brand, leave it alone "BUT" if you are trying and testing different pellets that`s a different matter. hope it helps any.

Me and Sean (vislauk) have shot together for years but its not very often we walk together we split as soon as we have our zeros set he go,s one way and me the other . But when we do walk together its good as we both know how to be quiet and hunt as a team I would not be with out him atvbmac  Yes, but this is not Vis, "It`s the Father-in-law" Mac ! "Just pulling your leg Rez" "Honest" x

I hate partnerships when hunting with air rifles, just two people is TWICE the noise, movement, etc, etc. Still its done now Rez, you`re taking the gentleman out . If your gun is going with you tell him to sit silent and take consecutive shots, (if) as and when they occur. "Make very sure he does not better you" ! If he does better you, "Make very sure the lads on here don`t find out"

Erm, why is there a date of 28/02/07 on the photo ? Is this a venture out of some 8 yrs ago ? (only asking).

Good stuff Cogs On a future session , Magpie on a cradle, squirrel, guts out beneath it , fantastic corvid lure , with you at the ready in a good, natural hide. -
A HW 100 Karbine Thumbhole Laminate Adjustable (HW 100 KLA) is my next choice "maybe" but my HW 100 kt basic is performing extremely well, so i think "why fix things that aren`t broke" ? Good luck with your choice Mitch, did you give the 100 KLA a thought ? Lads the average trade in is an extra £400 on top, for HW basic against a HW 100 KLA atb
