  1. Hi Guys, I have posted over my dog before and been given good advice. He is a 15 month old gsp with a prey drive that goes off the scale, he just wants to hunt 24/7. I have walked him mostly on long leads in the fields/ canal towpaths etc to try and stop him chasing game.If a covey of Partridge get up, or a Hare runs, he wants to give chase. On a long lead and to the stop whistle he will stop and sit every time (reluctantly), if he is free running a stop whistle will not work on him with fleeing game. Now don`t get me wrong lads, he has had many a training s
  2. How come i can`t see a Milbro G10 pistol or a Relum Tornado with a 4x15 telescopic sight in you collection JB ? "You trying to say something" ? Brilliant collection mate, just brilliant ! atb.
  3. Forget coat hangers Jake, try typing Uttings into your search engine and then decoy or pigeon cradles into the uttings search engine, they usually stock them and are not expensive. You will not use a plastic decoy again. Just had a look and they are in stock
  4. Ditto to VM How come White Dee and Fungi off "Benefits Street" , go to your house a lot with carrier bags full of super strength larger ?
  5. Why do we all love the air rifles over the years? Nothing tests your skill and prowess as a modern day hunter other than an air rifle and above all your fieldcraft skills. To hunt with a shotgun, fac firearm etc, etc just doesn`t wash with any respect i would hold for a true hunting man/woman and an air rifle.
  6. Took a look at the rabbit field again tonight lads. If you remember, i was watching over this field, with it`s first rabbits in years. The head count was around 5 to 7 earlier this year, tonight at approx` 8pm the count was approx` 15 to 20 :-). Shoot one or two for Christmas time maybe if poachers don`t find them first atb
  7. Well done Jake (i hate bandits). Those Magpies you shot, - "freeze them" and next time you go decoying magpies, put one (defrosted) onto a decoy cradle over the remains of any road kills, rabbits, (broken eggs even) with the guts out at bang on 30 yards with a stout stick pushed into the ground just at the side of the bait (18 inches tall) they always land on it, get into a good hide, with mask and gloves and wait for lots of fun to begin. Same with any vermin, crows, pigeons, magpies freeze them as they are and use them on cradles,- a million times better than plasti
  8. Absolutely relate to all above - brilliant youth i had with air rifles. First gun i ever had was a pistol( Milbro G10 ) out of a Blackpool junk shop, my Dad bought me when he was in a good mood. That pistol was so weak my mates Gat put it to shame. Then my Dad found out that the law forbids me having an air pistol at 10 and i would have to wait an "eternity" until i was 14 to be legal "ish". I was devastated to say the least and spent the next 4 years snaring, trapping and using a sling shot, (some tales there too ). At 14 my hunting world opened to a new
  9. Lovely looking rifle Andy, a credit to you . If i can pick so much information up on improvements to rifles from a forum like this, why don`t the manufacturers ? I`m no tinkerer with rifles but it is a credit to all of you guys the improvements you make
  10. Exactly Charlie, in the two years i have been shooting .177 almost exclusively, i have never had a boiler room flyer. I find the .177 pellet "far more effective" for that shot whereas any calibre for head shot.
  11. Where would i put my ladders and buckets SAM, naaar my street cred` would get ruined . Great looking bike though, "catch pigeons" eh,
  12. mmm - mm- mmm urp mmm gobs shut tighter than a submarine door !
  13. Hi mate - it annoys me, .177 for two years and everything i shoot - falls, period ! I pick up the 100 in .22, bang on the money,- Mitch "precise",- it flew and then "folded" opened the bird up and the internals were mush, so why ? atb " Puts me off .22" sorry lads/ gals.
  14. Please lets not drift away from the original question, - a side on shot to the boiler room .
  15. Sorry my mistake,- side on shot was taken, i only ever use .177 front on and as said to one side of the ridge, i always shoot to my right of the ridge bone, pigeons left and at 30 yds front on the .177 also "smashes" it`s way through at 8.4 grain and around 11.4 ft/ lbs.
  16. Nothing better than the 100`s at the moment, but i am watching out for the reports on the new Brococks.
  17. Took my HW 100 ks .22 out today for a change (VM`s recent post was my nudge i think), any way from the hide, on shooting sticks,, at exactly 30 - 31 yds i nailed 7 wood pigeons, six with head shots and one with a boiler room shot as his head was obscured. The pellet struck home perfectly with a very loud "thock" !!! and i was horrified to see it fly a good 70 yds, both legs down and then "fold up and plummet" dead into the new ploughing. Now then lads my .177 rifles would drop that pigeon stone dead every time . The .177 smashes it`s w
  18. Nice gesture Rez , That window reveal needs a wipe
  19. Aye Mac, giggling away here picturing you running down a field, 100 strapped over your back, cows chasing and you beating two hares to the fecking gate .
