They make excellent guards against foxes, they kick the shit out of anything new or strange, poultry keepers use them to protect against foxes

I don't know you or your Mrs, but am pleased it's good news for a change, sounds like it has been a worrying time for you both, hopefully you can start relaxing and enjoying what life has to offer, and in turn help take some stress off to stop the sleepwalking and trips to hospital.

I will have a word and get them to save them, won't cost nowt mate, it's a by product, called been eco friendly if the green brigade ask !
-
I can get you some if you want Dave, a good friend has a stable yard with over 40 horses on it, and my mate happens to be the farrier

I have a pulsar n550, a pulsar n750, and a pulsar n870lrf, I recently bought a photon as I liked how compact they look compared to the pulsars, first impression the photon knocks spots off the pulsar, lighter, smaller, more user friendly, then you look through them, the photon is back in the box ! My one wish was pulsar would bring out a scope like the photon, this looks pretty close

Good offer CC, I was going to say, I am in Bedford, and if you want a drive over Richard, come over and introduce yourself, we often have a little shoot and set some targets up, your welcome to join us, may even get chance to do some hunting.

I can bring my digger, footings, drainage, get it upto damp for you, oversite in, be in the pub by Friday Arvo, and providing plenty of crumpet in the local area I will bring me lads and we will take it upto plate for you. If David gets excited and knocks it down, I will drop the crusher in and sell the hardcore afterwards.

Now this surprises me as my r10 is as quiet as a mouse fart from standard, the action is noisier than the actual shot.

Anyone interested in coming out and knocking some foxes over ? We have a couple of foxes causing problems around the chicken pens. Pm me if interested.

You would be surprised, I catch them in the channel all year round, not in numbers, but I often get one or two most trips if I try for them.

Or he gets nipped by one.

Welcome, an enjoyable introduction, and I look forward to seeing your posts, especially any pictures you can share of your new homestead and surrounding views. Is it in Wales or Canada ?

Yeah I gues 20-30 came out, this one had some bales inside so they came out much slower, one or two at a time, had my mate there and he shot five with his air rifle, also had my new mutt in there but he didn't have a clue, chased them, but wouldn't grab them, he could have easily caught most of them.

Looks quite smart, I like the idea of wearing an earpiece and checking range and adjusting elevation, it simply saves a bit of user input I guess as sounds very much like what chair gun offers only easier. What's the cost for it, think I will wait until there is a Nv unit with the range finder built in as that's mostly how I shoot now

All done for now, will be start of spring time when we next move them I reckon, will post back on here and see who is interested. Thanks.

Pheasant Prices At Melton Market
Rabid replied to micky's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
I would think Melton was on its Arse due to the bird flu virus, I have often seen the pheasants been sold for £1 a brace, but never that cheap. -
I looked at a compatto and like has been said, gave it straight back, it felt like a plastic toy gun. I bought two wildcats, one has been returned due to what I believe is a fault, the other one seems a lot better, but yet to test it properly. If I get my other one back fixed and good, one of them will be for sale.......

Got it today thanks griff, it's superb.

Yes my bad, I thought you was talking about the poultry sale, if it's cage birds then 'at present' they are not under the ban Advice from DEFRA on Shows and Sales “As you are aware, the gathering of birds for a sale or show is permitted under the specific terms and conditions of a Defra General Licence. In the light of the current risk of avian influenza (Bird flu), on 20th December 2016, the terms of the General Licence were amended to ban the gathering of poultry including chicken, geese, ducks, pheasants, turkeys and guinea fowl – they are not permitted under the amended general li
