Viper connect is a cracking scope but not for me if i got one it would have to be a day scope as i find the ret to be to fine for my eyes and i find it is not that visible at night with the lamp but thats just me rabid as im diabetic and it affects my eyes, but in saying that its mint for me in day light (iv not got one but have used them) glass is Cristal clear and its not a heavy scope nice and light atvbjimmy  Interesting, I will be doing a lot of lamping so reticule will be an important choice. Certainly need to keep it light. Diabetes or not, we're all getting ol

Mamba lite, hadn't thought about that one, hmm, good suggestion, thanks. Don't particularly want to go with hawke

Nice to see someone getting a few, keep up the good work. The more I look at the impact the more I want to see one in the flesh, even though I have had bad experiences with fx.

Am looking for the ideal scope to fit on the cricket, currently have a taipan sat atop, but really it's too big, bulky and heavy and doesn't compliment the rifle at all. This is for hunting and paper punching, and will be shooting at some good distances, I was considering the viper connect, but what else is out there worth looking at.
-
Quite right, that's how it should be done, personally I use holdover/under not clicks or moa, but you still need to know the distances ! And with air it's more critical than anything else imo, but that does mean hours of testing at differing ranges, learning ranges and holdover, all of which I have done so I know them. For those amongst us who do use the clicky scope settings, I could see it been an advantage, yeah you still need to add the data in to chair gun type app, but only once, then everytime out shooting the data is spoken in your ear once you have done the range finding, so its

Mate, if I could I would, always saying file too large, I even tried linking phone, photbucket and Thl to get it working and NADA, given up trying now.

£239, I expected it to be a lot more

Jim, if you fancy a day out, jump in the motor and have a drive upto mine, if we arrange it you can have the choice of shooting the wildcat, a pulsar, a renegade and now a cricket, sorry I don't have the Galahad to try (yet). Yet lol. Never say never......... Even though I think they are fugly.

More Surprises From The Super 10
Rabid replied to Jonjon79's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I'd love to learn how to strip and work on this but, I've heard that the regs are a b*****d to do? I think these rifles are brilliant - like you said, no plasticy bits and, solid. It'd be nice to know that I know how to work on it. ...... I'll give you a shout when I'm feeling brave enough to go for it Atb No problem mate, the biggest issue with the regs is getting them apart, but once you have the right collets I will have a dig around as I may have some info be useful to you. -
By heck, early days yet, but this thing really does seem to be a tack driving sledgehammer, only managed a couple of mags through it before dark, but within 3 shots it was zeroed and was on the money, I am looking forward to a nice calm day and a few free hours to build up a relationship with it.

More Surprises From The Super 10
Rabid replied to Jonjon79's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hey Jon, Yeah I have been well into my s10's since they first came out, was my second rifle I ever bought. I have all the seals, regs, reg parts, you name it, piss easy to work on, strip, service tune, is basic engineering really. I only use Fb for the groups, my actual profile is shut down so to speak, didn't want any skeletons jumping out on me either ! Ps, Tim spoke well of you today -
No I haven't, stop making me spend money
-
Mate, it sounds wrong and biased, but this really is in another league as far as pups go. You need to learn to shoot properly, you will love it bud.
-
I can't believe how much this has impressed me so quick, considering I ain't usually a pup type of person, this is hitting all the right buttons so far. I found a rifle pic online and agree, looked bloody smart.

Thanks, will do, where is local ?

More Surprises From The Super 10
Rabid replied to Jonjon79's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Jon, those s10's are superb rifles, designed and built properly before all the plastic crappy shite was used to make guns cheaper to build, I have several, and had one from new when it first came out and I love them, I had one in fac and it was an awesome hunting tool, so much so I sent it off to don Robinson and had a custom stock made for it, such a difference, couldn't miss with it. Have you tried the defiant ogive ? My s10's love them, and believe it or not, the accupel performed well in mine too. Most bra barrels love his mags, but Christ you get some drop on them so if your like me -
Yes guys, I went over and saw Tim this morning, the man is a gent and passionate about his rifles, he has some lovely examples, I don't think I have ever drooled so much. I bought the kricket, what a stunning rifle, unmarked, like it had come from a shop, and the agreed deal was superb. The moment I picked it up it felt right, a perfect fit in the shoulder, the balance is great, I am almost ashamed to say, it makes the fx wildcat feel like a poorly built plastic toy in comparison, the action is superb, the sound is barely noticeable compared to the springy twang on the cat due to the f

So no potential problems to look out for that anyone knows ?

Ear defenders needed when FAC. Can't you switch the lever like you can on the Vulcan to cater for cack handers? Moxy, why can't we like mods posts ? Here's a like for you ?

15x20 is a wide tunnel. I like them, but found the cheaper ones have shite plastic that seemed to rip every year

Fen traps and /or poison, site the fens in boxes, wooden or brick so dogs/cats can't get to them, pipe going in each end, takes a few days for rats to get used to something new, but then they will start catching and work 24/7 (until they trigger). Poison, won't really hurt anything else like dogs as the Amount needed is so miniscule it won't effect dogs, some of the older poisons were bad for it, but not now a days, not the Ones general Joe can buy. Edited to add I just read the replies, seems Others have already given my advice. blood doesn't usually bother them as I have watched the
