  1. gvc we had dogs like yours in the early eighties with no burrel bull shit , just hare dog to hare dog ,,mate had sandy coulored ones some grey some black ,they were decent dogs ,hees a dreamer end off but some gullible public or naive like to believe in dreams , so he hanckoock make a living with an ole lurcher cur dog or colie type ,if a man has agood dog hees proud to show agenuine hunting man it working thats always been my falacy , for a good dog

  4. if you no the land and were game runs through ,and if you have a clue you will get good photos , never been one for lots of photos to busy hunting, one of the best photographers ive been out with was dann gauss shot on site , took a lot of good pics ,good hobby taking pics if youre that way inclined ,it takes alot of patience traveling getting on peoples land and out with fellow hunters and youlle get your photos thats for sure ,ive took men out hunting they were more intrested in the photos and liked abit of hunting ,each to there own in lucky i have 20 thousand acres great for photos of game
  5. somemaybe have only one two three working rest pups or retired dogs , if your out a lot injuries and dogs needeing rested between good days out ,alot are looking for the best dog so will go through alot to get a right decent worker courser ,then there them who peddle them like a xmas turkey ,or sell there cast offs to other guys , since the coursing clubs started and more people traveling for dogs more were sold further away hence the reason they keep breeding ,alot are not genuine dog men just init for cash and abit sport ,,dogs meen wonga for some ,just the way things have went , i mea

  9. the main thing hare are the dogs doing the work you require the parents of the pup , , and have they more in there tank in the right hands , i wouldnt get a first cross, get a pup of racy line bred colie lurcher type , as they guys have went through the pain of having first crosses to get what they want , if possible see one of the parents work or see there style of running , as there alot of liars shysters in the lurcher game , choose carefuly and listen to good dog men with years of expierence and heartache lol hope you get what you are after

  11. some real good pics ,got one last collie type out of my old stuff , shees a good allround bitch her son is of the same stamp ,marking fetching,taking what gets up , a real dog in my eyes ,you cant beat a dog you can take out in large wheat feilds, then up hills rabbiting, in a wood pegging roosters ,steady sensible , no madnes hyperness of poor bred dogs ,proper poaching dogs as they would say in the old days, running back with game ,great sport not saw many like that nowadays

  13. ye was a windy nite with rain mixd in ground was wet but still got a few punishing runs , up hills soft wet wheat ,not for the faint hearted , to much moon localy but a good walk all the same , at one time it was blowing the rain horizontal useless for game as there in the woods

  16. cant beat having land on your door step ,always handy for schooling dogs and easy to nip along for a few hours for sport or a good session if weather permits

  21. good qaulity rabbits are in demand in certain areas top chefs pay good money for clean game ,
  22. handy hobby making nets and something we learned as teenagers ,how to munt or make fish nets ,rabbit nets ,part of growing up in fishing villages ,i spent many a nite rigging nets for spring and topping up purse nets for the bag,as they take abit of a hammering ,good hobby to learn
  23. got a young dog at moment coming on good ,he marks ,catches bolters ,fetches, a good young pup ,and big enough to be an allround dog ,pleasure to see pups take to ,it natural ,his sister ,not got the same paitience but can spin things over quick and hardly a pant out her , i learnt a long time ago saluk blooded lurchers get them ferreting and close contact they make good allround dogs ,not just piont and slip great way to teach young dogs
